I admire the people who are teaching some of us to crochet. I watch all of them and learn something from each. Without these video's I would not have learned how to crochet and I am grateful
Hi Crystal, Someone on the fb page posted this blanket and I thought, that would make a pretty sweater! I just have to finish 1 or 2 WIPs and I can get started - thanks!
I have been crocheting with a pattern similar to this that my mom taught me. It has 5 double crochet in one chain skip 2 then 1 single crochet in the next. Then you repeat. I absolutely love how well you explain everything. You do such a great job with that. Thank you for your hard work.
You're a genius when it comes to crochet. I don't see how you come up with your own patterns like that. I wish I could do that. I LOVE your channel. You are AWESOME. Thank you so much for teaching us all you know. Until I found your channel I was only making blankets, with double crochet only. None of the fancy stitches. Since I've found your channel I've made several of your hats and scarves. I've also made one of your toddler dresses and a men's sweater. I never knew I could do so much with crochet. Lol Thanks again for all you do for the yarn community. Much love and blessings to you. Xoxo 😘💖 💕💕💕💕
So beautiful soft warm stitch love it. Yesloads of items come to mind to use it. But I want the rainbow blanket . Cozy and bright ona cold winter night.
Crystal, this is a beautiful pattern and such an easy repeat to follow. Thank you so very much. I have 17 grandchildren with #18 due in July... I would love to give each an afghan eventually. Thus far, 4 have received.
This is an inspiration. I looked at the Caron anniversary cakes and wanted to buy some so bad. My son was diagnosed with ALS at the end of October. There just isn't the extra money right now. Maybe eventually. I hope everyone is having a great holiday and will have a great new year. Sending you all hugs and love ❤ 🤗😇. Crystal I can't explain how much you and your family are making me smile right now when I need it the most.
Without you, all my blankets with yarn above a 4 weight would be straight rows of half double crochet! You've really given us an excellent variety of beautiful blankets to make featuring the Anniversary Cakes. Thank you, because I really only like making blankets, and so many channels seem focused on making cardigans with them for some reason. As a follow up, I'll thank you AGAIN, because I ADORE the Anniversary Cakes! I know some people aren't impressed with them, but I think they're very soft and squishy, they come in beautiful colorways, and they're economical in both price and shelf/project bag space: there are about 3.5 Chunky Cakes to every Anniversary Cake - meaning you would need *7 or 8* Chunky Cakes to make the same blanket. I'd rather find room on my shelf for 2 large cakes of yarn than 7 to 8 smaller ones any day. (It also looks better on paper! Look honey! I only bought 2! LOL) I didn't even like working with yarn over a 4 in weight before I crocheted with Anniversary Cake yarn. Personally, when you factor in that it's 3.5 cakes of yarn, I don't even mind the number of knots I've encountered while working with them. Machines have limitations, and I've *never* had to untangle yarn barf!
I love this pattern. I made my grandson a blanket out of caron anniversary cake . It turned out beautifully. This is the second pattern of yours I've made .I also made the Chevron blanket. Your awesome. Thank you Faye
Thank you thank you thank you! I have SIX anniversary cakes (3 of the same color). Now I have a beautiful pattern to make 2 blankets from my 3 same-colored cakes. :-) Hugs and Blessings from Texas!
I’ve been had this yarn for over a year and I didn’t know what to do with it! I’m excited to start this project! This will be my first blanket. Thank you
You have so many new stitches, I don't know which one to choose for a baby blanket I'm making! I guess it's a great problem to have, thanks for all your hard work! 😊🧶👍🏻
Ur right. This looks very easy. I guarantee I'll be getting my set of hooks this week. (I know I said I was before) LOL It's just been crazy. Lol. I've enjoyed watching a couple of ur Bod life videos. Ur family is beautiful. I wasn't able to watch today. But I will later. 💕
27 years ago was the time in my life that I learned the basics of crocheting. I haven't done anything since. I'm in a time of my life where I have the time to continue my learning. As soon as I do a project. I'll let u know. Lol
I just had a chance to watch this video again and I believe I will use this stitch/blanket to make my daughter's boyfriend a blanket for Christmas. Thanks for all your hard work you put into Tutorials Crystal!
My oldest grandson is getting married in September. And this afghan will be perfect for them. But will make with Bernat Pop as I bought the yarn a few years ago with an afghan in mind for him. It is Blue ChamBray. I bought several skeins so sure I have enough. Thank you so much.
i have used this awesome pattern for baby blankets using appropriate colors and hook, so lovely...thank you for all your stitch patterns...blessings today 🥰
Made this blanket pattern in all pink turned out beautifully thanks for your video tutorial, would love to have the written version as a keepsake please
My daughter saw your previous video talking about this upcoming project. She bought me this yarn for Xmas so I could make this throw! 😊 I’m excited to start it.
Looks so nice and thick and squishy! I love throws. Even in FL..its 58 right now and we don't turn the heat on bc it's electric and more expensive to run than the air. But I like it chilly in the house with a throw on me. 🙂❤
I just bought 2 of the Anniversary Cakes in the Lollipop color way when Michaels had them on sale for $19.99 & was thinking about what I wanted to make with it. Now I know! Will have to finish my WIP & then I’ll start this! It’s so pretty! Thanks for sharing Crystal!
Yay, grabbed a cake at Michaels, only one left in the purples. 10.00. So awesome you do multiplers. Thank you. Looks beautiful, didnt want to color control.
This is a lovely blanket pattern. I used Anniversary Cakes to make a blanket for myself, one for my husband, and one for his mother. I wish I had had this pattern when I made them because I could have made them different instead of all alike. You can bd sure I will use this for some baby blankets I want yo make for charity. They will be in a 4-weight yarn. Thank you for yet another wonderful pattern.
