Curlfriends!! Thank you for watching this week's video! Need more Curly Chemistry resources in your life, here it is!! Ebooks, 1:1 coaching, and of course the infamous Hydrating Herbal Hair Tea Rinse! curlychemistry.com/ 💕
I'm low porosity, and aloe vera juice mixed with grapeseed oil and a light leave-in conditioner works for me! It keeps my scalp from being itchy and softens my hair. I love it!
Green tea rinses have been a real game changer for me! After my 3rd time doing the rinse, I saw a major difference in the shedding amount of my hair! I was truly shedding less hair each wash day that I used it! This has become part of my hair regimen! 🤗
Low porosity here, heat is what works for me and being a straight natural…blow dried only then moisturize with ORS oil moisturizer and seal with a little blue magic hair grease and hot six oil. Weekly Deep conditioning and wash my hair weekly with a moisturizing shampoo. I massage my scalp with kaleidoscope miracle drops. Low manipulation hair style braid out to a bun as it gets old. Repeat
Right on time Sis, lol. I’m doing my hair today and I’m low porosity. Light cremes are perfect for Me following up with an oil! What works for me are Pre-Poos and Deep Conditioning with heat! Your tips were right on POINT! 💜
Just did my hair, and an astringent for my scalp before deep conditioning works for my hair, I use a heat cap with a plastic cap. Water is my friend, inside and out. Just trying to get the density back from having locs, and minimizing stress-induced anxiety.
You are a great representative of what you"re teaching !!! Your hair is thriving, and beautiful!! The one thing that's working for me is keeping my hair moisturized between shampoos & scalp massage!!!
One thing I discovered when I was rocking mini twists for about three months was that deep conditioning my hair when it’s wet works great for me (and yup, I have low porosity hair!) . I was taught to deep conditioning my hair when it’s damp but nope, doing it when it’s wet works very well for me!
I was also taught this. I was told I am diluting the product if used on sopping wet hair. But I totally agree with applying to wet hair for a different reason..... Most products are too heavy for my thin fine hair even though I need more intense conditioning than run of the mill conditioners.
Hey Tonya, I love hearing you share hair care techniques for all of our black hair concerns. I enjoy using the tea rinse during the deep conditioning phase of my high porosity salt and pepper natural hair. It makes a difference in my gray hair care regimen because of its softening effect when I use my daily hair creams. Please continue to share your knowledge with us and I pray God's blessings upon you!
Heey there Tonya. 😊 Your tea rinse has been helpful in my routine along with adding dilluted ACV to my deep conditioning treatment. Thanks for spilling the tea. 😅
❤Wrapping up my hair as much as I want to tolerate❤Sometimes, I just don't want anything on my head so I won't claim to do it everyday and oiling my scalp❤Great video❤
Giovanni 2 Chic Avacado line saved my daughter’s 3c/4a LOPO hair. The serum doesn’t cause product build up and the shampoo and deep conditioner is amazing. The leave in spray is best as other leave in’s are too heavy. Every thing on that line is amazing. For a budget friendly option I do like Aussie moist deep conditioner, and the repair serum(again don’t cause build up) I like the leave in mousse for braids. I also like Suave’s Almond shampoo and conditioner… I literally can only use those 3 lines of products.
@@christines1821 I used to be high porosity! Then as my hair became healthier and 99.5% virgin, it's been low porosity. It still looks dry when when and product tends to just sit on top on the strands. Thing is I have so much hair that it gets disrespectful. It laughs at light weight products and creams plus I live in the Florida humidity 😭 hair grease and some wet like extreme tame my hair better than any luxury brand out there. I love blue magic as well but I've really been loving the softee mango grease. It spreads more easily
Exactly right on time. Just got a fresh cut, I'm talking 2 1/2 inches last week and beginning a new relationship with my NATURAL hair only beautician. They are few and far between to find these days.
1. Working For My Hair: Fasting (either alternate day or 18 hrs fast & 6 hrs eating/drinking). 2. Question: Your hair is beautiful & I love that style (which is what I want). I have low porosity hair & would like to know what products should you put on your hair when it is in your style? I have used Pink Lustrous Moisturizer Lotion on my hair (the consistency is thin & creamy) & deionized water is its first ingredient. If I use any product, where water is the first ingredient, it will make my hair frizzy, & shrivel up. I prefer to work with my hair by just blow drying it only (after wash, condition, deep condition, & no need for flat ironing). Thanks for the information. Take care.
The water/conditioner mix works very well for me too. Sometimes I use hibiscus tea or a bit of aloe vera juice to the mix. Besides, I'm broke. Can't afford fancy products. I even thicken it a bit with xanthan gum and use that as a styler
Watching this video is working for me!! I’m going back to some of my “old” techniques, because I think they we working better than I gave them credit for.
what do you find to be the best way to moisturize your hair after blow drying? let’s say for a braid out, plaits, etc. do you recommend going straight in with a moisturizer or adding some liquid first? i ask because if i do that, my hair will curl back up
I have low porosity hair 😊 my hair and scalp is really liking honey 🍯 as a rinse out conditioner/scalp treatment and I use 🌹rose water💦 as a leave in conditioner. Iv heard Curly Chemistry talk about the benefits of rose water, but Im curious has she in past videos mentioned the benefits or possible negative effects of honey on hair to replace rinse out conditioner and on the scalp ? If she hasn’t mentioned it Curly Chemistry could you make a video about honey on hair and scalp? I wonder could I be missing out on necessary nutrients by just using honey?
I was wondering because my hair closes to my scalp takes longer to dry than the rest of my hair... I have two types of porosity? Also, do you think that Kapri's Deep Conditioner and Leave In will work for me. Thank you Tanya. Everyone and y'all's family always stay blessed, healthy and in the Perfect Peace of our Lord Master and Savior Jesus Christ. Amen and Amen ✝️🙏🛐🕊️
I hate washing my hair it takes 5-10 minutes for it to get wet. LOL. And I have to heat dry. The no heat didn't work for me. Just gave me single strange knots.
Hi tonya...I am a teen mom of a 1 year little girl living in france. I never had much hair but my baby has lot of hair, problem is her hair is soo dry like corn beard and TANGLES ALOT. i try protein treatment follow by deep conditioner. After some hour The hair was soft and looked dry but then when i touch it was smooth. I waited night to make mini braids while she sleep and by that time her hair was again tangle! Please how can i adress this problème
Beyonce’s entire CECRED line has been a game changer for me in terms of length retention/growth/moisture/strength. It’s by FAR the most innovative line on the market for T4 hair. Criminal that you’ve never reviewed it from your professional perspective. It’s THAT good 😳
You can just add oils to any conditioner that you have. Shea Moisture has a very good thick conditioner called Daily Hydration. I love batana oil, moringa seed oil, marula oil, baobab oil, caster oil and I put a few drops of rosemary and peppermint oils.

Tea rinses helps with my hair. But pre-pooing and deep conditioning are added benefits too.
What's working for me: HAIR GREASE 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
I’m high porosity and trust me hair grease is for me blue magic but I’ll use almost any grease
Yessss! :-D

Routine steam treatments are working for me.

Moisture straining is doing well for my hair and I love it.
Herbal hair tea rinses and castor oil on my scalp are thickening my thinning hair🎉
Just found this out after being natural all my life, but my hair REALLY loves aloe vera juice, so I started using it as a part of my LCO method.
That's awesome! Aloe vera is amazing for low porosity hair!!
Watching this video is working for me!! I’m going back to some of my “old” techniques, because I think they we working better than I gave them credit for.
I’m so happy I found your channel.
I’m so thankful for you and time to help us CurlyGirls out.
Big Thank you.
The one thing working for my hair is keeping it stretched from wash day to wash day. I have less breakage, and I am retaining length.
Hi, what method are you using to stretch your hair?
@@kreationkollect I blowdry, I use all different types of rollers sets, flexy rods, and perm rods, and I press my hair once a month.
I am low porosity and plan on incorporating chebe into my routine for this very reason.
Using my heating cap with conditioner and with whatever treatment is helping with those things and detangling
Thanks for sharing Wendy!!
Your hair looks amazing .
Thank you! I found the Head and Shoulders Clinical Strength work very well with the conditioner Also I bought a scalp massager.
So far the steamer is a game changer

Hello Doctora, please is shea butter good for low porosity hair?
What's your take on batana oil for hair loss?
Low manipulation! Just leave that shit alone! ❤
Thank you for this video. I love information for low porosity hair. Any updates on when we will get a video about shampoo and conditioner bars??? 👀🧼
I always deep condition with my heating cap.
I hate washing my hair it takes 5-10 minutes for it to get wet. LOL. And I have to heat dry. The no heat didn't work for me. Just gave me single strange knots.
I think aloe Vera as my moisturizer
Washing weekly
Are there clarifying shampoos that are thick and creamy?
Hair grease on my scalp every other day if I work out daily or every 3 days if I’m not working out,
Can you use grease on Low porosity hair ?

Not all conditioners state whether they are deep conditioners. How can you tell if you are using a deep conditioner
