Very happy I found this series - you do an excellent job presenting the game! Dawn 3rd Edition is having a reprint Kickstarter, slated for July 2018. Thanks for standing up the tokens, it makes it much easier to follow on camera.
Hello. Thanks for the video. At around 7:00 when you had Piazza shoot, why didn't you have those civilians shoot? They'd shoot on the 5 column, and would've done two wounds even with your awesome roll.
That is an excellent point LargeGoblin. I'd forgotten about that 'well-armed' right shift I'd given them. D'oh! I could have done that next turn too. I'll have to stay on the look out for hero blindness and assuming that they would always have the best chance. Thanks for the tip. :)
Thanks writerguy. :) I think it might as a game be aiming for a 70's or 80's vibe. There obviously can't be an internet or mobile (cell) phones. Otherwise the Army and National Guard would be there in no time! The mountains must block the radio and maybe the phone lines are down - knocked out by a shower of strange green glowing rocks that fell from the sky...
I mention in the introduction video that the Player Action token is specific to Captain Piazza because she was the hero that I chose... Don't listen to me. I'm a donut. The Player Action token can be assigned to any hero or civilian unit in a given turn (See p.9, basic game rulebook.) A big thank you to Brett on BGG for pointing that out :) Fortunately in this turn I'd have had Piazza use this Player Action token anyway as I needed her to take a couple of actions - so no harm done.
Well, it was an interesting opening...too danged short. Heat wave, shmeat wave. ;) I'm not sold yet, but you're making it interesting as always. Looking forward to more. I'm curious if you know what they've changed since the first or second edition, has it really changed, or not really?
Hi Dave. Sorry mate but I'm English and I have to psych myself up for heat - going on holiday that sort of thing!! :D I don't know about changes not having played the earlier ones but hopefully someone can chime in and let you know! :)
Ok… Must of spaced on the first episode, but awesome intro/outro! Must be nice playing a game that does not require miniatures for you to assemble and paint. :-) Saw the update with the tons of miniatures to paint. Wow! 15 minute turn 1? - pretty quick - I like it - but I assume that that is only for the Basic game, harder games take longer. I think your Game Tracker is off. Are you not missing a ‘1’ and the outer area just prior to the Town Center. Cheers Jonathon M. Johnson - No, the other Johnson. :-)

Great to hear that you enjoyed the series, Joel! Thank you for watching. :)
Like that foam playing surface you got there. You sir, are a genius.
Thanks Mathieu. :)
The foam is really helpful!
Cheers Paul.

This is starting out really atmospheric, like an old B-grade zombie flick from the 80's. Pretty cool.
Thanks writerguy. :)

Same here Desert... I am not sold yet, though CW does make a good salesman so we shall see.
