  • Another update regarding your HD security PIN. You should get your number, but you won't get it by yourself. Just pushing buttons in some certain sequence ain't going to cut it. If you don't already have it, I would suggest taking it to the dealer. They'll probably charge you, but there's really no way around this without putting up some cash.

The PIN number is easily retrieved if you have the FOB. I just retrieved mine and reset it on my 2020 TriGlide. Took less than 2 minutes, I did however have my FOB in hand.

So how did you do it? I'm betting that you were able to do it because of the year of your bike. Did you have to have the FOB near by? That might of been the key to it working for you...as far as getting the number goes.

Scott Prado my harley shop gave me the way they said for 2014 and newer make sure the run switch is in the off or stop position, turn the ignition Switch to run then toggle the run/stop switch to run, stop, run, stop, then run and leave it there, then push your left turn signal two times then the right turn signal one time. You have to do all that with no hasataion, if its older then a 2014 you toggle the ignition switch, on, off, on, off, then on and leave it, then hit the left turn signal three times then the right turn signal one time , when you have it showing the left turn signal will change the numbers from 1-9 and the right turn signal will move you to the next number when you have it how you want it simply turn off the kill switch and then turn off the ignition switch and its saved to the bike. hope this helps you out..

Jeremias Fuchs would you mind telling us how you did that? I would personally be very interested in knowing how you did it.

Scott Prado my securitysystem is a original Harley european/HDI TSSM with "pressable key fob" (There are maybe 3 ore more other Systems built in) so maybe the other versions are working different. For example the 2007 Manual describes an other way to do so then the manual for the 2006 models. So you need to know Biketype and Model year. Than maybe I can help you.

I'm not surprised that things work different on different models. HD is known for that.
      I have a 2002 Roadking. I can't retrieve my number.

Maybe you can get your current code in the Odometer-Display by doing the following procedure:
enter the diagnostic mode by doing so--> hold the reset switch in and turn the Ignition/Light Key Switch from OFF to IGNITION. The normal power-up sequence occurs before the diagnostic mode is entered.(IMPORTANT NOTE: Holding the reset switch in for more than 5 seconds while in the diagnostic mode will clear all set diagnostic codes from memory.)
Once in the diagnostic mode, the first diagnostic code
appears in the odometer display. When the reset switch is pressed again the next code is displayed. Press the switch again and again until all 10 diagnostic codes were displayed .... then the following press on the same switch should show your current 5 digit PIN number. [So it is in my case]

For your 2002 Roadking the manual gives this advice and information (the lamp flash indicates the code - you have to count attentively)[if you give me your email, I could send you the "Table 3-4" mentioned underneath]:
      PERSONAL CODE ENTRY
First Time Code Entry: TSSM Only
      IMPORTANT NOTE
Do not forget to enter a personal code for TSSM vehicles.
If a code is not assigned and the key fob is lost or damaged while the vehicle is armed, the TSSM must be replaced.
The TSSM personal code consists of five digits. Each digit can be any number from 1-9. The personal code must be used to disarm the security system in case the key fob becomes unavailable.
To set a personal code on a motorcycle with no code previously installed, see Table 3-4. The procedure listed uses 3-1-3-1-3 as the desired personal code.
      NOTE
For better security, do not use 3-1-3-1-3 as a personal code.
It is shown as an example only.
Decide what five digit code the owner would like to use. The code will be programmed using the turn signal switches and key fob. Keep a record of the code in a secure place such as your wallet or the owner’s manual.
      ● When programming the personal code, the security lamp flashes to provide feedback when entering each digit.
      ● The number of security lamp flashes corresponds to the number currently selected for a given digit. Therefore, the lamp may flash 1-9 times depending on the number entered.
      ● Press the left turn switch one time to increment each digit of the code.
      ● Quickly press the key fob button twice to advance to the next digit of the code.
      NOTE
The programming mode is exited when the Ignition/Light Key Switch is turned to OFF or if no turn signal switch/key fob button activity occurs for 60 seconds. No data is saved for partial configuration attempts.
      -->Modifying Existing Codes: TSSM Only
If a code was previously entered, the lamp will flash the equivalent digit. Each additional press of the left turn switch will increment the digit.
      ● To advance from 5 to 6, press and release the left turn switch 1 time.
      ● To advance from 8 to 2, press and release the left turn switch 3 times (9-1-2).
