As always I enjoyed your latest video and learned something new about how to improve the restoration quality of my FJ40. After seeing how you recondition rusty parts, now you've got me researching electroplating and the best DIY zinc plating kit so I can save my old nuts and bolts!
Great video as always. I would like to make a comment on the shock washer. A: I did not know that the washers are not supposed to cup the bushing and B: I recently purchased some Bilstein 5100s for my 4runner and the instructions for the rear post, the instructions explicitly show and states the washer does NOT cup the bushing. I did some research and the reason is to allow more flex and prevents from possibly breaking the stem or post. Thanks again for a great video.
Do newer Land Cruisers have improved undercoatings? If the best way to protect these is a line-x type undercoating, why isn't Toyota or other automakers incorporating this into the manufacturing process?
Believe it or not, the handle is still available from Toyota. Otherwise, there are a couple of places we send them to to be restitched. Call the shop and ask for Jason if you need the name of a place.

Something like this takes about 8 months once its slot opens up in the schedule. Currently we are about 18 months booked in advance.
