How you can adapt the transmission ?
Can’t believe that ski pole stick shift didn’t get a shout-out. 🙂
damn i love that ld20
This vehicle available desert tan manual !
Love your stuff! The only thing I DISLIKE is that I can't afford to have you guys resto-mod my FJ40. :D
@@Tigerstripe40 Thanks! We do appreciate all the support.
Our complete 3/4 full assembles are one of the best in the market. Also our soft tops are the best selling soft tops in ebay and globally
Iam curious what you think it would cost to do a 2004 Tacoma EXT can do this same swap ?
The Cummins is kind of limited to 1999 vehicles and older, but I don’t recommend it for anything over a 97. Too many other vehicle systems get compromised.
when i win the lottery i will be paying you for your talent and humor
Awesome! Thanks for watching!
I'm not hating on you guys or Land Cruiser. You guys are bad-ass. Just wish I could afford to get my FJ60 done by you guys. Keep up the good work
I've been watching your channel for years and think this is your teams best work to date! Simply awesome!
Thank you! We’re really happy with how it turned out. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the breakdown! I need some advice: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How can I transfer them to Binance?
Basic idea on prices please 🙏
I visited your facility about a month ago and was impressed with the safety engineering controls that were in place. If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all. Thanks for another entertaining video. Also, I think the bridge is now repaired so they can get on it and, well, you know. 🤣
@@adamsfly6212 HA! Thanks for watching

Good to see your better half. Keep up the great work!
Chandra appreciates that! Thanks!
I agree with the comments being too negative and not helpful. However, I think we should all hate on bicycle “mechanics.” Those guys….
Hmm, I’ll have to take my bike somewhere for work so I can join you.
I loved all the body shop tech. I appreciate your sense of humor. Congratulations on the new addition.
Thank you! And she’s due any day now!
Congratulations on your new member of your family. We love your sense of humor and the time you spend on your Cruiser builds. Wishing much success, I’m glad we can comment on your entertaining and informative episodes. Hoping one day to visit your shop. Cheers
Chandra and I thank you so much! We hope you can come by someday
Preach!🎉
My God, this thing is beautiful! This show should be on Discovery!
Cool vid! Why is the 3Fe your favorite engine?
Tradition mostly. Straight six so it feels like it belongs there but with good fuel injection.
By series would be the easiest to organize and to put away. Then, to find a part would be easier. And make it even by color for panels😂
Yeah but prices?
I want one!
Do you have footage of driving a 60 series with a Cummins r2.8 with the H55F? Some commentary of how it drives compared to a 3FE with H55F would be awesome
As always a great video. I was surprised to see the video started out discussing fuel sending units. I’m building a SS tank, pretty much done but need some direction on a sending unit. I want to use the original gauge (1974), but my new tank is 9” deep. The original sender as you know operated in a much shallower tank. Is there a sender out there with same ohms as my gauge with an adjustable float. What would you recommend. The 79 fj40 sender looks like it might work but I’m not sure of the ohms matching my 74. Thanks for any positive feedback.
I don’t think there’s an aftermarket sender that matches the ohms. At least I’ve never seen one. The easiest thing to do would just be length than the rod on your existing sender. We do that all the time
@ thanks for the reply. Thats actually the plan, to bend or extend the rod. My original doesn’t work so I’ll use that to find “full/empty”. Replace it with new sender.
I was lucky enough to get my mustard yellow 78 FJ40 from my father-in-law who took great care of it all these years. Ended up doing a something similar which I called a "mechanical restoration". Even got all the CA spec smog equipment back on and passed CA smog without issue!
Good on ya! That’s a chore. You could start a support group out there with that knowledge.
You like the 3FE. What is your opinion of a 2FE? Is it an issue with hood clearance?
No hood clearance issues, but I still don’t like the idea. For one, 3FEs exist, so why meddle with Toyota’s engineering? You are using a lot of the 3FE to make a 2F with Toyota EFI so why not just use the 3FE in the first place? Keep in mind this opinion applies to us especially because we are always starting from scratch with a fresh engine. Second, without a great way to reprogram the OEM computer, a 2F will always run lean with the 3FE injection on it.
Nice shout out to us Aussies, We have a number of 40/80 build in Australia, there are a some awesome kit available! I'm very slowly building a 1965 Fj45 with Patina Restoration. Nice work guys keep it up!
Cheers!
Another informative episode 👍👍
Thank you!
If my 60 series didn't get beat to death by golfball sized, and bigger, hail stones I would have kept the old paint. Another great episode. 👍
Yikes. Yep, that many dents are NOT great patina
I have watched every one of the videos. I am in the process of total restoration of a 1971 fj40. I still think your channel would get more views if it wasn't rated for kids.
@@danpearson1960 I really want to know what you are seeing that others don’t. I’ve gone through it several times and every video is specifically checked “not made for kids.” I wish there was someone who could explain this. I believe you but I’ve asked many people and nobody knows what you’re talking about.
@procruiser on all the channels I subscribe to I can turn on notifications for new videos except for your channel. Every time I try to turn on notifications it says I can't because this channel is for kids . I wish I could send you a screenshot. I don't know for sure if this causes less viewers but it might.
That's interesting.....I am a long time subscriber and have seen every episode. I don't have notifications set for any channel but just turned on notifications for this channel and it worked. The channel has great content but in my uneducated opinion, I think the lack of consistent weekly episodes slows down the growth. I'm certainly not complaining and will watch them all but I've heard the RUclips algorithm likes consistent episodes. Good luck and keep up the great work!
@@StlrNtn95 thanks for the response I don't know why I can't turn on notifications for this channel if you are able to do it. It says can't because it's set as content for kids
Is that a Stout build behind the Super Secret project? I’de like to see whats going on on that.
It is! It’s sort of another secret;)
That build was awesome...great job as always!
I agree with this week's stop it it is stupid to cover licence plate
Thanks! But something tells me our little movement won’t get too far :-)
Its called a plate belt anchor nut for the rear floor sub assembly
Mabey turn down the intensity and volume of the electric guitar solos.
Thanks for the feedback. We’ve actually gone down with the music lots of times. Try watching one of our new episodes and see if the volume is better.
An Amazing team for sure!
New Fan here, Beeeautiful rigs man !
Thanks for watching!
Is there electronic ignition with this engine? and is there any way to test this out besides putting it on Bikini Atoll?! :D
Haha, good one. There isn’t an ignition at all! Just a fuel cut solenoid that is pretty robust. Unfortunately, there’s no way for us to test it. Maybe the CIA or the FBI could do it? Maybe they’ll see this comment just because I used their initials and reach out? lol
@@procruiser Hahhahah. Yeah. For the 2f engines, can you put backup ignition components + dizzy in an old microwave and effectively have it be "EMP proof"?
turn your music down!
Watch some of the newer episodes, it should be about right
I use the same battery in my 1975 with a Mosely rebuilt 2F with a Sniper and Hyperspark. Works great.
Can you give more detail about how you extend the rear axle?
Thank you guys for putting such good content regarding Land Cruisers. I have a 1978 FJ40 and I am inspired by your video to continue working towards making it my daily driver.
Tacomas now?
6H9 is very nice ,I have painted my 60series . ruclips.net/video/bLt3ftymNu8/видео.htmlsi=8tcgnXvmBuRXhyi_
One day you are young and another you match your shirt with your ride 😂 ❤ good video
Love your shop. I owned a 79 LC FJ40 in the 80s and drove it to HS and College. Mine was dark olive. Wish I had never sold it. So much fun. Interesting parts are still available from Toyota. Those turn signal market lights on the fenders were notorious for the base mount cracking as it was made from plastic as I recall. Do you guys do any upgrades to the base smog setup on these LCs and do you open up the jetting in the carburetor to flow more fuel? The 2Fs were pretty anemic as I recall. I am in my late 50s now and still have a burning desire to get back into a 40 series LC.
@@Supercruze I’m jealous! I didn’t get into Land Cruisers until I had graduated from college and was teaching elementary school. I don’t have any early Fj40 memories, but I am making up for it now! We offer quite a few upgrades to the original 2F engine, and with a five speed, they get an FJ40 along pretty well. It’s never too late to jump back in. Lots of good Land Cruisers for sale out there including some on our website in the for sale section. There’s an amazing sky blue Fj40 on there right now, and a 1978 survivor Fj40 that needs a good home.
As always very enjoyable 👍
My 78 is very close in color to the 6h9. Interesting the Toyota dealer near me is not interested in selling me anything. I have tried a few times and am always disappointed with them. Your work is amazing. I can only hope my 78 is half as nice as this one
