    If my 60 series didn't get beat to death by golfball sized, and bigger, hail stones I would have kept the old paint. Another great episode. 👍

    I was lucky enough to get my mustard yellow 78 FJ40 from my father-in-law who took great care of it all these years. Ended up doing a something similar which I called a "mechanical restoration". Even got all the CA spec smog equipment back on and passed CA smog without issue!

      Good on ya! That’s a chore. You could start a support group out there with that knowledge.

    I have watched every one of the videos. I am in the process of total restoration of a 1971 fj40. I still think your channel would get more views if it wasn't rated for kids.

      @@danpearson1960 I really want to know what you are seeing that others don’t. I’ve gone through it several times and every video is specifically checked “not made for kids.” I wish there was someone who could explain this. I believe you but I’ve asked many people and nobody knows what you’re talking about.

      @procruiser on all the channels I subscribe to I can turn on notifications for new videos except for your channel. Every time I try to turn on notifications it says I can't because this channel is for kids . I wish I could send you a screenshot. I don't know for sure if this causes less viewers but it might.

      That's interesting.....I am a long time subscriber and have seen every episode. I don't have notifications set for any channel but just turned on notifications for this channel and it worked.
      The channel has great content but in my uneducated opinion, I think the lack of consistent weekly episodes slows down the growth. I'm certainly not complaining and will watch them all but I've heard the RUclips algorithm likes consistent episodes.
      Good luck and keep up the great work!

      @@StlrNtn95 thanks for the response I don't know why I can't turn on notifications for this channel if you are able to do it. It says can't because it's set as content for kids

    You like the 3FE. What is your opinion of a 2FE? Is it an issue with hood clearance?

    • @procruiser
      @procruiser  16 дней назад

      No hood clearance issues, but I still don’t like the idea. For one, 3FEs exist, so why meddle with Toyota’s engineering? You are using a lot of the 3FE to make a 2F with Toyota EFI so why not just use the 3FE in the first place? Keep in mind this opinion applies to us especially because we are always starting from scratch with a fresh engine. Second, without a great way to reprogram the OEM computer, a 2F will always run lean with the 3FE injection on it.

    As always a great video. I was surprised to see the video started out discussing fuel sending units. I’m building a SS tank, pretty much done but need some direction on a sending unit. I want to use the original gauge (1974), but my new tank is 9” deep. The original sender as you know operated in a much shallower tank. Is there a sender out there with same ohms as my gauge with an adjustable float. What would you recommend. The 79 fj40 sender looks like it might work but I’m not sure of the ohms matching my 74. Thanks for any positive feedback.

    • @procruiser
      @procruiser  16 дней назад

      I don’t think there’s an aftermarket sender that matches the ohms. At least I’ve never seen one. The easiest thing to do would just be length than the rod on your existing sender. We do that all the time

      @ thanks for the reply. Thats actually the plan, to bend or extend the rod. My original doesn’t work so I’ll use that to find “full/empty”. Replace it with new sender.
