Hey,thanks for sharing your story I’ve been bingeing your videos for the last couple of months because I started dating a girl who’s bipolar as well. She’s very open about her condition and is a advocate for mental health, so I just wanted to ask. As someone who’s bipolar what do you look for in a friend? Like romance and everything aside I feel I should be super supportive and be a good friend firstly even if it means not having a relationship because I care about her well being and mental health. Do you have any advice or just some thing’s that comfort you that your friends do. I’ve been doing extensive research on mental health since July and just would like to know. There’s more to this but it’s a lot to type lol. We all deserve love and life long friends so advice would help.
Hi, I'm glad you're liking my videos! There's a lot I look for in a friend but I think it's the same as anyone else is looking for in a friend. If we're being specific to bipolar, the ones who have stuck around and that I value more than words can express are those that attempt to understand and are forgiving when I make mistakes. Hi Esmeralda, I'm on Risperdal to keep me down from mania right now. I'm also on a mood stabilizer called Depakote. In the past I've also liked Latuda, Lamictal, and Caplyta for mood stabilizers
