  • No one understands the intensity of Bipolar Mania like those that have the Disorder and have felt it first hand. Acute mania is "defined as an extremely unstable euphoric or irritable mood along with an excess activity or energy level, excessively rapid thought and speech, reckless behavior and feeling of invincibility." Lack of impulse control and the need to 'go go go' can be dangerous. To come off of the high high mania try being mindful meditation can help and work on your breathing techniques to slow down the wildly excited mood. You will have a more restful state, be clearer, more focused and calm. #obsessive #compulsion #fixation #fetish #preoccupation #bipolar #racingthoughts #wildness #raving

Thank you for sharing your experience. Mine was different, but I definitely relate to the experience of having snapped and lost touch with reality. I was coming out of a severe depression and threw water on my wife in an argument. She left and I was up for 3 days sending the most horrible texts to her non-stop. My marriage ended that day, and I’ve been trying to pick up the pieces and figure out what happened since. I’ve been trying to get treatment, but I’ve been struggling to tell my doctors that I’m experiencing things that are new and different from my usual self and my usual depression. I keep going through periods where not myself, and it’s hard to communicate to a doctor who doesn’t know me and what I was like before. It helps to hear stories from others to have the courage to speak up and not try to hide away behaviour that I’m really ashamed of.

Very sorry for your experiences with the symptoms and aftermath of Bipolar. It is such a hard disease - so tough on all of us and those around us. Yes as you said we are all different and have a different cross to bear. I am very glad you found my story helpful and for sure that is the reason I tell them. Glad we can encourage each other. Bless you on your journey.
