    By far the best demo of this device I've seen. Call Roland, they should hire you.

    Fun! I was thinking of getting a Roland VT-4 for some live mixing projects (I hate playing with filter in post... would rather do it live and record vs recording and playing with sample recordings with filters for hours or days). But how do you like it dry for say voice over work? Probably OK? Thinking of Roland VT-4 first then maybe. A MOTU M4 if I had to... (also gives me benefit of line inputs 1/4” from my older synths.... so It’s not a terrible buy to get both).

      Voice work is so much fun! Im working on an upcoming video to demo how EDM artists use it for voice effects that make the lyrics or songs pop.
      The best part is the computer detects wet/ dry and mixed without any software or apps needed to be installed and the quality is not degraded at all.
      But yes, if u have the benefit of manipulating real time is so much better than over editing after, I agree!
      Yeah, buying both is not a bad idea. The good news is the Roland is in the mid/low budget zone which allows for flexibility to buy loopers and other stuff to add to your kit!
      Fyi, Im not sponsored or anything LOL.

    Pretty dope! you have a new sub here! 😊👍 Quick question can you break it down how you have it set up to your OBS? Your mic into your VT4 then from the VT4 USB out into your computer,and on your computer to OBS, Then on your OBS audio settings to Mic/Auxilary Audio ? Please correct me if i am wrong,Thank you!

      Hey! Thanks for the sub! Sorry for the late response! :)
      I have my microphone XLR to the VT4, VT4 on USB to the PC, OBS detecting as input (either, WET, DRY or MIX) from the VT4. Let me know if you need more specifics on how to set it up once within OBS or from your computer audio settings.

    How is the pitch correction on this? Looking for something subtle for that nice ring of a perfect pitch without getting the auto-tune effect

    • @IserithShay
      @IserithShay  3 года назад

      Hi! The auto-tune on the Roland is based on a knob that you can turn and cranks up or down the amount of auto tune you'd like to have. I would say around 40%-50% you can start to hear that robotic feel but you can also play around with the balance knob.
      If you're interested in how the effects layer up check out the signal diagram on my video "Easy Step by Step Setup" at minute 2:23.

    • @IserithShay
      @IserithShay  3 года назад

      As always, the more the auto-tune has to compensate for the shift in pitch the more the robotic effect will show.

    Hey can I connect my phone and mic to ronald VT4 with speaker and make a karaoke?

    • @IserithShay
      @IserithShay  Год назад

      Not sure what you mean to the phone...By USB? It wouldnt work. But yes, the Roland to a speaker (via the line out) and a microphone through the Mic In (which you can use a 1/4 cable too).
      You would need a separate setup for the kareoke part, like a TV.

    Hey just wanna ask if u plug it in the computer and open a software. Is it easy and No need to set up it one by one in a DAW preferences on the settings for its tune and signal set up?.

    • @IserithShay
      @IserithShay  2 года назад +1

      Heya! If you're refering to the Roland VT-4, that is a yes.
      The Roland VT-4 connects to the PC through the USB and it auto installs. The PC detects it just like another headset or mic (if you know what I mean) no need for any intermediate software specific for roland for anything.
      so, within your DAW you should be able to change your inputs/outputs and pick the Roland.

    Hi, thank you very much for your information.I subscribed your channel. I am playing nayflute instrument and I have presonus studio software in my laptop. May it be useful if I use Roland VT4 by directly connecting to the laptop and record the nayflute sound with backup music in presonus studio?

    • @IserithShay
      @IserithShay  3 года назад +1

      Hi! Thank you so much for the subs!~
      To confirm, are you using the Roland VT-4 as an interface to record the flute with effects? If yes, that's an interesting configuration.
      I know the computer and software will detect the Roland and recording will work.
      Now, the tricky part would be how the Roland interprets the sound received from the flute through the microphone. I haven't tried the Roland with anything else than my voice. But, in theory, it should work because its vibrations from the flute on the microphone.
      This would be a situation that you could try to demo at a store or purchase it used to try it out. If it doesn't work, then return? 😅
      Sorry if I couldnt help much.

      @@IserithShay Hi 😊 Thank you for your reply. Could you visit my RUclips channel and listen to my recording please. I don't have Roland vt4, but I want to know if it is a better choice to use it or supply a high quality audio interface like focusrite Scarlett instead of Roland vt4.

    • @IserithShay
      @IserithShay  3 года назад +1

      Hi! Both will work but it depends on what you want to do.
      If you don't want effects such as reverb, then focusrite will work.
      If you want to add effects, then the Roland is the way to go. But, the Roland has a bypass so it works just like the focusrite too.

    • @IserithShay
      @IserithShay  3 года назад

      Hi!~
      If you are referring to DAWs, I'm not as familiar with those, since most of my performances are live and improvising.
      But, I know there's FL Studio and Reaper as examples. There's so many out there and a matter of preferences and budget. All are compatible with the Roland as long as your computer and/or DAW recognizes the Roland. In PC, for example that would be setup under the Sounds Settings>Inputs.

    can you do a video using electric 1 with reverb and stuff. i used to use that alot on my roland jdxi. im going to buy vt4 today anyway im going to see if guitar center has other vocal processors that have a "hard tuning" i dont sing like that. feel like i have bettet expression in some sense using rolands autotune. autotunepro is cool too but it just showed me i cant really sing as good as i thought compared to the roland jdxi's auto pitch and i use the highest tune in the jdxi its fresh but ik it lacks in a lot of areas compared to autotunepro but i still like it..(i use electric pitch 1 all the time) you have a nice voice you should totally focus more on making music just my opinion

      @@Riz69. i have not had experience with the helicon. But, from experience with technology...when you need it most it doesnt work. Thats why I went with the roland, it is plug and play. very analog, doesnt require an app for sync on additional features or balance issues.
      It works just like connecting a microphone either by XLR or 1/4 connections.
      The Roland VT4 provides the same effects and maybe more depending on the helicon you are looking into.
      I just dont trust apps and wifi pairing when going live where time and errors cant happen at the moment.
