Mr Lancaster, I'm asking you this because you have so much knowledge of this young lady. My daughter is 16. She's a fastpitch softball player in Mustang, Ok. She suffers from severe headaches. We have had MRI and CT of her brain scans. They all came back negative. We are waiting for months to see the Neurologist at Children's hospital. Do you know how they dx her or what tests were ran? My daughter hurts so badly from them. She's an honor student and studies alot. Having headaches I'm sure makes it hard. She never complains. Nothing makes it better. Please help if you can provide and guidance. Thank you.
RUclips had this as a recommended video for me. I am sitting here in tears. I lost my little girl at 23. No heartache is worse than losing a child. Peace be with the Hill family.
It was so heartbreaking to find out Lauren passed away this morning. I've followed her story. I try not to get emotional for people I've never met but this was impossible not to. She seemed like such a sweetheart. R.I.P.
James 4:14 Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.
I'm from her hometown of Lawrenceburg indiana and was just surfing through RUclips and it was nice to see this pop up. She was a major inspiration in our town. I now live in florida but she inspired so many in Lawrenceburg. RIP Lauren.
We all have problems or troubles in our lives but you don't realize how small most of them are until you see what other people are facing, like this beautiful young lady. Puts it all in perspective. A very touching moment.
This change my life as a black man or just a human being we should all learn from Lauren Hill thank you watch this 20 times straight please be kind and change the world everyone
Yet Bruce Jenner wins the ESPY award! Talk about injustice. This woman worried about other and worried about failing them. Bruce worries about what size 15 high heel shoes to wear! Total crap.
I remember this like it was yesterday. Proud of my alma mater, Hiram College, for their part in this, and their continued tributes to Lauren. Rest in peace and power.
Wow! RUclips seems to bring up the best videos just as I need them. This is awe inspiring! She was awe inspiring! Now she is playing all the basketball her heart desires. To her parents... You raised a true champion! Job well done. My heart has been touched. Thank you for sharing.
Life is a bittersweet symphony as The Vere would say. Though her time is short, she found a way to accomplish her dream. Her dedication won't stop there. God needs her on His team more than he needs her here. May she be at peace at the end of this life and the one to come.
I lost a lot of respect for ESPN when it did that Pork Chop67. There is something seriously wrong with society when it is considered courageous for a man with female parts to come out identifying as a woman and yet a terminally ill young woman who is actually a woman is overlooked. Godspeed to Lauren Hill.
WHAT!! HOW?🤯 i’m sorry just Seen This story about this remarkable young lady. How can that person be given that award and the bigger question is how can that person except it knowing that this young lady was one of the nominees. WOW 😳😡
A crushing loss of a wonderful woman. I cannot fathom the courage she showed and it is inspiring to revisit this and to remember how much she meant to so many people.
The entire city of Cincinnati was rooting for Lauren and I remember the devastation all of us felt when the news came Lauren has passed. RIP. You were/are an inspiration to us all.
Lauren's story touched my heart more than anyone will ever know!!!! I lost a child hood friend to ovarian cancer and l think about her every day.I know she greeted Lauren with open arms !!!!!! RIP Lauren and Christine
I will always remember Lauren Hill. I often think of her as well as another young woman, Cristina, and a young boy, Sebastian, whom I knew. They all left this world too soon because of brain cancer, but they will live on in our hearts. I pray daily for their eternal peace and happiness, and a joyous reunion for them in the hereafter with all their friends and families.
Extremely sad. She seemed like an amazing young woman with a genuine heart of gold! Why does this seem to happen to mostly the amazing people? Not fair. I lost one of my best friends to brain cancer at the age of 22. We grew up together, having met in 2nd grade. She left behind a 3 year old son. She was a gorgeous girl with blonde hair and gray eyes and a fantastic personality! I will forever miss her...
She's an amazing woman, and when she will be mourned by the millions she inspired, she will not let them down. They - we, will be so proud of her. She's a true fighter and she isn't giving up, wasting away on a hospital bed. Her family, friends and team are lucky people.
Too bad there isn’t a person out there like John coffee from the movie the green mile that could actually take illnesses away from people in real life.
She's going to heaven with her dreams fufilled. When God blows the final whistle and her game here on earth is over, I hope its peaceful and painless and she's surrounded by her loved ones.
amsterdope That's a nice thought and I sure hope it's true, but how do you know she is going to heaven? What does it take to get to heaven? Again, not saying she is not there and I hope she is, but what information in this video gives you that idea? Peace!
No idea. I just hope ALL young souls end up in heaven. Its just a wish in ny heart for all those who leave us behind even before they got to taste life... simply a 'humanitarian' wish...
I believe in heaven for children. I dont believe in God or hell. Adults die and go in a hole and rot. I want to believe kids go somewhere better. Thats all...
How sad 😞 May she R.I P. Cancer has taken so many lives, my brother in law died from brain cancer; he was 30 years old; I hope that they can find the cure for cancer; my deepest condolences for her family.
We all squawk about all of our petty little aches, pains, and I don't haves.... This young lady had a simple, single dream. With her desire, and the help of others she got it! Makes me sit back, look around, and see pathetic greed in every direction. HATS OFF in salute to an AMAZING young lady (who made it happen)!
Lauren was an amazing young woman. A committed advocate for those who are impacted by DIPG. So grateful she had so many behind her working so hard to make her dream possible. Shout out to the Hiram team for not only agreeing to start their season early but also for turning their opening day home game into a road game so Lauren could play in front of her fans. Class acts.

I hope my comment won't offend anyone, as I don't want to do so. I truly believe that these tragedies are God's way of teaching us to love more and to hate less, to understand what short amount of time we have here, and to leave, whenever we're called, a better place. Like others, I've asked why does God allows suffering and calls home those who seem to be innocent angels far too young in life. It is so we appreciate all the we have, that to have good, we must have bad to be able to recognize the good. This young lady didn't do anything to deserve her illness or extremely short life, but God chose her because she embodied his message. She is home now without suffering, and we can be comforted knowing this during every thunderstorm. Lauren is dribbling down the court on a fast break going for a slam dunk! Thank you for allowing me to say my peace. May Lauren continue to inspire us.
I am a old man i have never been in love i wasted my life and this poor girl gets this happen to her tears running down my face i know she has been gone for years so sad.
Vic...it's not what you did yesterday it's what you do today, tomorrow and however much time you have on earth....Make it count. There's numerous stories like this that we've all seen yet Lauren's story hits the hardest. Can't watch it without shedding a tear.
I freakin remember when the ESPYs gave Caitlin Jenner the female courage athlete of the year over this young woman. I was infuriated.
