Her mom Lisa used to babysit me when I was younger. And her sister Erin was one of closest friends when I was little. I still remember when my sister hit me in the face and Lauren let me hold her bunny to cheer me up...
47 and I cry like a baby tot his story, all of her stories. She was so strong but yet so weak. Man I can't get enough of watching her. Inspiration isn't even the word. It is godly watching her fight. Well at least he has one good lady b-ball on his team and im sure she is dominating.
Lauren was such an incredible person and inspiration to those In her community and around the country and world. This was so sad to watch and she was taken from us to soon! May she continue to Rest In Peace. Sending my continued prayers to her family. God bless. 🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️❤️
I actually just found out about this story twenty minutes ago, and I wished i could have squeaked past it. Her siblings are very tough and you could tell they were hurting just as bad as her parents were. Lauren however was able to make a lasting impact on the people she was close to and beyond- her legacy will continue on for decades and that's something we (including me) can all hope for
I lost my mom to cancer in January of this year. Lauren was an inspiration to all of us, especially those fighting the same disease. I just recently lost my mother to advanced stage transitional carcinoma, cancer that spreads like hell. Everything that she did and accomplished means so much to us! It hurts so much to lose someone you love to something so horrible but her love, her life , and her legacy will forever be remembered, just as my mom's will be! We love you Lauren!!
Was listening to her story and I’m tearing up 😓 here at work... Lauren hill your in gods hands now .... you have given me more courage and to value life everyday in this world..... Lauren u will never be forgotten I promise 😞😭
Incredibly touching story of love, tenacity and the human spirit. Why can't we love and accept everyone and each others differences like this? Sometimes it only takes one to bring us all together. Amazing story.
Lauren Hill is a True Hero- this story should be shared with everyone- young and old!! Lauren is brave and fighting for her life here on earth for Others, not for herself. The strongest thing you can do is Carry your Cross like Jesus, Lauren. She's living to make this self-sacrifice and this is the Greatest act that any human being can accomplish!! God bless you Lauren, I will pray for a Miracle!!
You have inspired me to do better in life to be a better person with a good character, I pray for you that god would send a cure for you Lauren. "Never Give Up"
My heart goes out to you and your family. Sharing your story to help bring awareness to this disease so we can find a cure. Thanks for being a inspiration Hope you will have so much fun and enjoy your BB game on Nov. 2nd. I will be thinking of you.
heart breaking story what a brave young woman she was her family must be so proud she was only 19 years old same age as my brother when he died rip lauren
TO THE VERY END, LAUREN NEVER GAVE UP. She knew her time was short, but she never complained, no "poor me", no "shame on you for not understanding...". No. she faced it with a smile, hope, optimism, and even humor. She expressed concern, not for herself, but for those around her. She was hoping to play just one game, but not only did she play in one, she played in 3 more! She was not expected to live past Thanksgiving, but she did, and then through Christmas, and New Years, and well into 2015. She hung in there far longer than anyone expected. In her final days, her body began shutting down. Weak, feeble, and apparently bloated from the cancer & anti-pain drugs, she was placed in a hospital, and she gave her family a final "goodbye" before passing away. Her pain, turmoil and hardship is over now. She knew her Savior and has gone home to be with Him.
I NEVER MET U LAUREN, BUT I LOVE YOU AND YOUR STRENGTH IS AMAZING AS GOD CHOSE YOU TO BE THE LIGHT OF PURE LOVE FOR LIFE. GOD BLESS YOU AND ALL YOUR LOVED ONES. GOD CHOSE YOU TO BE THE ANGEL THAT REMINDS US ALL TO LIVE TRYING. MY HEART WILL FOREVER CARRY YOU WITH ME FOR ALL MY TIME FOREVER AND EVER. THANK YOU AND YOUR BEAUTIFUL FAMILY FOR SHARING YOUR LIFE, AND FOREVER MORE YOUR LOVE OF LIFE. LOVE YOU!!!
So hard to watch rip , some young people destroy their life with addictions and this young girl that is so talented; & want to live ; is losing her battle to this horrible disease; cancer have taken some many lives; I loss my grandmother ; my brother in law; and my best friend to cancer:(
Life is so hard... I’ve known 2 people who committed suicide, because they just couldn’t live anymore... Then you have people like this brave girl Lauren. Who so desperately wanted to live, but she couldn’t , because she had a cancer that took her life because there was and still is, no cure... Sleep well brave girl...
I believe that this girl fulfill her mission, and accepted Jesus as her personal lord and savior. She might not receive the espn award but she received the crown of life.
i will trade places so this beautiful girl could go on. i was raised in east los angeles always thinking i was tough, but can not stop myself from crying. why is life so cruel?
Hello. I often ask my self the same thing. I just can’t put my finger around it. I probably never will understand nor accept that. I my self have been through a lot of trauma and health issues . This world isn’t what it used to be. I have so much to be great full for but a lot of times I get caught up in certaint things and I forget that. This story really got to me.
I dnt no y God sent me hear I didn't no n e thing about dis story til jus now watching Sunday nite highlights. I cnt stop thinkin about dis family. But please look to the hills witch cometh your help, all our help co.we from the Lord.
My little girl went to be with Jesus on 7/30/19 because of DIPG. Its evil plain and simple. I look forward to going to be with her one day and holding her in my arms again. Please God show them the cure for this. My daughter was 11 and that just wasnt long enough.

marc gabourie "Wrong" to play on Sunday??? And, why might that be Marc??? Because it's "The Lord's Day" ??? And she was "Selfish" / "Just thinking of herself", when all she wanted to do... Here, again in "my" eyes there is no God...How could a "God" let this happen to this beautiful, smart. caring, athletic young woman. My heart goes out to her and her family and loved ones.

Wow, this was hard to watch ;'( I believe GOD can and will heal her
How sad! I feel for Lauren and her family!
But I already have a beautiful gorgeous healthy girlfriend and i feel happiness 😊❤️😀☺️
Still, she was thinking of herself by insisting to play. And it was wrong to play on Sunday. These are facts too. Let's put them in the narrative.
