Caitlin's voice is so awesome... just a great rendition... goosebumps all round.
Not an easy task to listen to the music with every molecule of air in the room being on fire like this.
I must say that this is one of the absolute best versions of this song. Well done.
Broke my heart and healed it again, all in 4 minutes.
Same here. Gorgeous in all ways.
Get you someone who admires you as much as Caitlin admires Noam’s playing
Someone who looks at you the way she does him at the video's end.
k, fantastic music.
They are married. I saw them in April in VT and they had just gotten married two weeks before that.
It's love
I feel the same way about his playing and I'm not even married to him. Just wonderful. And Caitlins voice is a perfect accompaniment.... wonderful rendition!
Pretty cover. Made me smile. Thx.
Caitlins voice reminds me of Aoife O'Donovan. Smoky and tender. Lovely duo
Wow, how awesome. Great voice, and fabulous instrumental ability. Noam and Caitlin RULE!
First time I've heard of Caitlin Canty - only three words to say about this rendition with Naom - beautiful, beautiful, beautiful.

Awesome.
Beautiful chord melodies and fantastic singing.
Simply beautiful! This was one of my father’s favorite song. I have come to love it over the years since he was taken away by a car accident many years ago.
A marriage of heart and finesse--so lovely!
Wow! Her voice, that banjo..
Take a soulful, silken voice, impeccable phrasing, and an exquisitely pure instrumental, and you have the best rendition of this classic ever!
Poetical review...

I don't know how I got this link, but it just made my day. Beautiful.
Absolutely beautiful rendition of this song - glad you recorded it! We were lucky to see you both perform it live in Seattle this past March - come back soon to Washington State :)

ma che grandi!!!! vi amo!!!
Amazing job.
Don't know how I got here but so glad I did. Perfect.
I play resonator guitar, both square and round neck, but usually hate steel-bodied resonators. But this sounds steel-bodied plectrum guitar sounds wonderful. Thank you, Noah. I have a Regal resonator tenor guitar (wood body) that sounds quite similar.
The future is bright!
I googled "nailed it" and ended up here.
No friggin' joke. So good.
So you were exactly where you belong.
Lovely
Excellent. ‘Merican music at it’s best.
Powerful, beautiful performance. And I dig whatever that fullsize mandolin thing is
Just Magnificent! And they added Leonard Cohen's verse. I love it!
OMG was this good!!!!
Wonderful.. 4 thumbs down? Thats 4 thumbs the world doesn't need. :)

Yes, some people can sing (and play, of course)!
Damn
So nice! And “Southern man” remains my favourite
Nicely done guys. I'm a guitar player as well.
What a handsome couple. They would make some beautiful babies .
That's a difficult song. Well done! it has a very wide range and you NAILED it. I didnt realise this song had more than one verse. Did you write the extra lyrics? or dig around until you found them??
good
Was that recorded with one microphone? It sure sounds lovely.
Gasp!
Tasty !
"First class" is not enough. We need to invent a superior category...
I'd never heard the second verse before. Did Peewee King write that? It's great.
Thanks a lot James.
Noam what banjo is that ? You to make an amazing duet looking forward to seeing you and her perform.
That was great. Now excuse me, there’s something in both my eyes.
What instrument is he playing? Is it a resonating banjo?
Adam Greenwell it's a 1930-something tricone plectrum guitar tuned like a banjo without a drone string.
Victor Vrankulj Thanks for the reply.
1927 National Plectrum guitar. Hard to find one let alone for a good price, although I'm looking. There was one on Gruhn's for $20k.
2nd verse, edit for gender
So I told him, go and take her
With her mind ever changing
To the heartland of old Tennessee
And when she leaves you, like she's going to
For some fancy dancer, you'll remember what you done to me
I think that is a Recording King Walmart guitar she is playing.
what instrument is that??
It's a metal body resonator four string banjo (I guess)
That's a huge guitar for such a little girl!
@Alonso: How would you like it if someone referred to you as a "boy"?
@@citygeorge Probably not very much.
Brittany Haas has such a beautiful voice! I didn’t know she could play guitar as well!!
Right now 0:16
I bet the big thing is, he makes her laugh.
Take it easy Ike. That Serbian Ukulele will only get you so far.
She sings like she lost her true darlin.
