I'm balls deep in doing a turbo on a vulcan 750 because why not? And from what I've found no one else has done one. Ended up with a gt2252 and a hsr45 to fuel it. Thanks to a lot of your videos, I have a good direction to go in for the build
Not sure if someone mentioned this already, the issues with your camera could be caused by proximity to your tig welding. High frequency welding does tend to generate some impressive RF output. That RF can be involuntary inducted into microelectronic components. I hope this helps. Your videos are super informative and greatly appreciated. Thank you for your work.
Beautiful engineering..love the commentary and explanations throughout the video your students are very lucky to have a teacher as indepth and as meticulous yourself....cant wait to see finished product..thank you
I don't weld and doubt I ever will. But I like this channel. This video is why. Thoughly authoritative narrative. No bs freaking eletronic so called music. Edited well. To the point. If I asked you what time it was I wouldn't get the history of watches.
Dude! I just got done doing this to my XVS950 (cruiser). Went with same turbo too! Cant wait for warmer weather now.....got almost 20" of the cold white stuff on thw ground now.
Would have loved to see you do this to a 2003 Buell XB, the hole in the frame where the airscoop attaches was originally designed for a turbo air supply. HD wouldn't let him build it with a turbo but the frame was already complete and kept the hole. Or so the story goes. Glad to see more videos from you!!!
You know what, I'm glad I'm not the only one who gets excited, forges ahead and has to remind myself to slow it down. Another video full of quality content. :)
I'm here out of curiosity, but I still plan on dyno tuning my parallel twin 750 with a K&N filter and a decat Ixil exhaust. This is a sick build though.
What kind of turbo did you use? I want to turbo my Honda Shadow VT 750 and I've looking on ebay for cheap turbos between 100-200 Euros. All of the turbos I found were for 1.3-2.0L car engines, are those too big? I don't really care about massive power gains, do you think turning down the boost would be enough to not blow up my engine? Also did you add cooling to your bike/turbo?
@@arunmfive depending on how long you want to keep the engine and whether you want to do excessive modification such as changing compression ration, additional cooling etc
@super hessu thank you for you tipps, I was thinking the same. I am considering buying a garret g12 or gt15 for my honda shadow 750. Should I install additional oil cooling? (It is already watercooled)
Thanks for the aluminum starter pack and a look around your shop yesterday! Looking forward to seeing more on your truck and secret project! The turbo sounds sick!
When you realize your 1200cc vtwin at 6500rpms (7900 liters per powerband) is being out-displaced by a 600cc @ 16,000rpms (10,200 liters per powerband), so you have to up the volumetric efficiency. Beautiful work in the vid!
I am thinking about building a turboed cafe racer. Will be using this video as inspiration as I go through that process. Would love to see the final product and hear it as you ride
Haven't seen you post in forever! I have to say I just finished my full dual 3" exhaust out of stainless with v bands using your videos. I went with solarflux as I didnt have access to backpurge some of the pipes.
Excellent video. I have fitted fxr upper and lower fairings to my Bolt among other mods and now it gets WAY too much attention to be so meh on power. I wonder the ballpark in gains you made with that Turbo. I think one might tuck behind my lower fairing nicely.
What kind of turbo is this, could you tell me in full description, did not understand much in the vids, might be because english is not my main language, any help to tell with Is very appreciated. Need to do a job referring about installing a turbo on a bike. 🙏
A turbo might be the only way to make a Yamaha Bolt interesting. And i Ansari want to know what's going on with the mini truck!? I'm going to be building a chassis for a 58 chevy truck, ifs and irs, LS swap and TR6060 gearbox. I was hoping for more pointers before i attack it...
A buddy and I built a turbo kit for my softail a couple years ago, saw 20psi for a second, after I replaced the exploded pistons, and swore to never try it again the bike runs great, got some cool pictures at least 🤣
He's been running a lot of classes and just hasn't had time. His IG/FB feed has had pictures of this coming together for some time but he always admitted a video was a good distance away.
I enjoy your series and as a bike shop owner have learned some tips from your videos. Nice to see you working on bikes. Look forward to part 2 Nice to see your business growing!
I can't express how good it is to see someone doing it properly using welded in, carefully selected, bend sections rather than use the over-used wank pie and lobster cuts. Those who know will appreciate your work! 👍 The only thing better would be bending them out of single pipe lengths. On that, are you going to leave the welds exposed, or grind and polish them back for a (slightly weaker) smooth, one piece appearance?
Hey just wanna day I love the videos. I’m 17 and asked for the prime weld tig 225x. I want to start a business fabricating small dirtbike and quad parts and move up from there. I’ve learned a lot from you so again thanks. Any tips for a beginner and or tips for starting a business. Thanks man
Don't do work on credit. Give a price and stick to it or, if an estimate, within 10-20%. Sometimes you'll make a loss but you'll learn pricing and costing. Don't forget that you will be paying taxes, so make sure you understand what you need to do and put the Government/State dues aside - a lot of people get into trouble because they spend money that isn't technically theirs and, when it's called due, they don't have it. You're probably familiar with sports' people, entertainers, etc, who end up with serious tax problems - and there are usually interest and penal payments on top of the initial tax bill.
Yeah as far as tax, highball estimate your withholding and set that aside in a savings acct. and have it ready for April. Otherwise just make sure you stay on top of commitments and deadlines. Also try to communicate well with customers. When getting started you want to make sure you get some good word of mouth.
Not trying to throw any shade your way, but watching this video made me understand why you dont see turbos on bikes in general; where the hell do you put it?
Please can someone help me... can i turbo my Suzuki Intruder VL 284cc twin cylinder 24HP bike? Is it possible? I have turbos came out from cars in my backyard and i just wanna have fun with 😅 (will use only one turbo). Is 280-285cc twin cylinder bike engine produce enough power to run a Turbo? Btw my english is not that good if you didn't understand it's my fault 😁
Im not a fabricator, but isnt stainlees streching and shrinking when the temperaturs changes? Would a flex piece or a slip joint be a very good idea? Anyone?
I know first hand, GT15 losses efficiency at 5300ish to 5500, granted my ECU redlines at 7100. possibly moving to gt22 May fix this but I’d assume a tad larger injectors may be needed.
Your such a geek i love it, and it shows when you explain or are teaching things and how it comes very fluid. I am like i get it, don't have access to your kind of workshop and still duhhh...as the saying goes practice makes perfect and it takes time :)
Super informative video with great content! Also, you have a fantastic narration voice! I've subbed and am looking forward to watching more of your videos!
.60+ on that a/r for that 750cc. That small turbine housing is choking the engine. We are finding Garrett GT2862 with an .82 a/r on an 1125r Vtwin is boosting by 2k rpms.
Another turbo bike is born! Love the work, it's looking good! I am glad mine was a paralle twin, that manifold looks crazy! Do you have good ecu options for that bike? I finally got my blow thru carb dialed in, still need to hit the dyno!
I’d recommend a Dynojet PowerCommander 4. It has a baseline, and from there you can simply add or subtract numbers on the graph which is broken down to 500's of rpm, 1k, 1.5k, 2k, 2.5k etc. it’s really easy to use and you can save your maps and install a toggle switch too
"For no other reason than because I can..." That's the go. That fastcut plasma shooter machine is killing it. That's a nice bit of gear.
PLEASE!!!!!! Make a video after you finish it about how the bike feels and rides!!!!!
Yes!! You got it edited and uploaded!! Thanks for taking the time in class that day to show/teach us how to do this.. 👍🏻👍🏻

Good to see you. I had a stroke and surgery for a tumor. Trying to heal now. i have always loved your stuff. Later.

man make the sequel to this one ..... I've watched it over 10 times jst by recommended feed.....plz show what have u done after this
glad to see you still at it.
We really need a pt.2 this is a sick build.
Cliff Hanger before Xmas ..... Nice !!

Thoroughly enjoyed every minute of that video, many thanks. Can't wait to see the finished item and see how effective it is.

I really enjoyed this. I'm in the early planning stages of putting a turbo on a 2008 roadster warrior.

Great, let’s talk production when this is all dialled in. I’m gonna want one too.
As "the guy" who built one of the first Turbo XVs (mine's a TR1 though) - you're in for a completely new level of fun...

@@Bishop_Heahmund There's no turbo too big for an engine.

Should I install additional oil cooling? (It is already watercooled)
@super hessu the compression is 9.6:1, so not too high (many other modern bikes have like 12:1 or 14:1)
This video definitely makes me want to do this to my Vulcan900 custom.
When is the next episode coming
When is the next

Nice job tucking that waste gate in behind the turbo!

was there ever another video to this? i wants to see the finished product and how she rides..
Where is the next episode on this build? Pls, it's super cool.
Sounds awesome..what if build on Z1000 Gen2? Any video for Z1000 turbo?
Really nice work! Curious to see how it all pans out.

Hey bloke, great guide, gonna put it out there though, you don't need to worry about equal length headers on a turbo manifold. 💕
your work is so clean, it like it
Your front fender is backwards.. Lol. Great video. I've had my Bolt for a couple months now, but I've been a subscriber for much longer.

Good to see you creating content again.

you make turbo exhaust for harley twin cams? i have a garrett sitting around.
Weigh everything you added then make a flail or sledge hammer that weigh the same for the other side and attach it with some sort of quick connect
