The good news is Nespresso has amazing customer service. Before you rush out and buy a new machine follow our experience so you know what not to do when your machine fails.

I didn't make it past the part where they ran out and bought a new one. So if your machine breaks, go buy a new one. That's brilliant ! Thank god I came across this video, LOL

You panicked, lol, I totally feel ya. Having this issue right now so been having to make trips to Starbucks. Funny thing I ordered the original because of the more variety of coffee it offers, and this one broke down as soon as I did. Wow talk about great timing. I'm still going to call support tho, I've only had it for a year. If they give me a coupon like they did for you guys I'll just buy coffee for the new one.
Basically when a appliance errors. Just throw it away and buy a new one.

Glad you found it helpful, according to the research I did briefly the older red version seemed to experience a higher failure rate.
This was unhelpful as it does not tell us what to do when the machine is dead besides call the manufacturer.

This fixed it for me thank you!! I was wondering why there wasn’t a click/haptic feeling when I pressed the button? Mine was more of a plastic ring, but wiggling it a bit w a flathead screwdriver fixed it 🥲

My machine conked out at six months and I’ve watched every troubleshooting video and they will only replace not refund. BEWARE

I just got mine and I’m terrified of it giving out on me too soon will they last at least 4 years? I’m the only one who drinks coffee in my home besides my best friend who comes over sometimes and we drink coffee together
I think you should be able to get a solid 3-4 years or more out of it. If it does die on you make sure you contact Nespresso.

It’s not broken. It just needs to be descaled. This is stated in the manual.
