This happened to me when I was trying to do the cleaning process. It would start, make the same weird noises as yours, stop..and red blinking light come us. With several wet q-tips, I cleaned all that gung off and it worked!!!!!!!! Thank you ❤❤❤❤
I had this issue and nothing worked either. I got mine working by filling the water container up with boiling water and also the pod holder to let the steam loosen the crud. I imagine this isn’t recommended but at the time I was going to bin the machine anyway. Once I got the machine to spin I descaled 5-6 times to remove the buildup.
@elitewoodchuck Did you actually run the boiling water through the machine? Or did you just put it there and leave it for a while before removing it, in order to soften the buildup?

I had the classic Citiz Machine in Chrome and nothing ever went wrong in 8 years!! This Vertuo machine is always having issues, it's internal technology is terrible - I'm so mad.

Nightmare machines need dedicated buttons
Minimalist design can sometimes be a bit inconvenient. Having so many functions on a single button makes it a bit too complicated.

You need to be careful there’s needles on that machine
That’s what happens when you don’t clean the nespresso machine out probably theres coffee bulid up in there
Yes, coffee buildup can be really annoying, especially if the machine hasn't been used for a while. The coffee oils can harden and cause issues.
