I use the grasseed kit on amazon. Been using them for uear amd machine still working like new. Saves money and i can use cafe bustelo. And the people saying who has the time literally anyone watching a RUclips video about coffee pods lol.
Just a note to thank you for your excellent video on how to reuse the Nespresso coffee pods. I've tried several other methods, but yours works flawlessly. I saved some 7oz. for Americanos and fuller cups of coffee, and some 2.4oz. for espresso shots. It's pretty easy to prepare, I am going to do the process as a "hobby" and save some money as well as that small thing to do to reduce waste into the environment. Thank you so much for your video. I plan to share it with some friends. All the best to you.
Picked up our machine for a tenner second hand and then realised it didn't use the older style pods. King forward to trying the hack. Good style video. Great to hear a British voice doing a decent voiceover - i sound all whiny and limey when i try to do RUclips 😂
To get a really good cup of coffee, you first need good quality beans, not moldy, not eaten by insects etc, then to be properly roasted, not burnt, and then to be freshly ground just before you start brewing the coffee cup. Then to have an appropriate level of grinding depending on what brewing method you want to use, and then of course you get to prepare it in a suitable way. But if you are not starting from a good quality coffee, from a good source and roast, that you freshly grind before making a cup, you aren't really yet tasting the best cup of coffee. Try it
Does anyone have an idea what is the ground to use? I tried the French Roast brick from Aldi's and even though the ground seems larger than the nespresso coffee, it seems to be coming out of the holes around the edge and seems to be way stronger than using the Aldi coffee in my french press. I've done a few cups and noticed some ground at the bottom and even within the foam. I tried another unbutchered pod and noticed slightly less ground within the foam. So I am at the point of trying different coffees, but would like to hear from you all as to whether to get Fine, Super Fine grind. I might even try a coarser ground just to see.
Medium Grind, No Coffee Grinds in my cup. I sandwich together "Press'NSeal Glad Wrap to Heavyduty Foil *BEFORE* I seal in the coffee in the modified Nespresso Vertuo Pod as shown in the video. The PressNSeal Glad Wrap is sticky on one side making it easy to stick to the Heavy Duty Foil, to create the top seal of the Modified Pod. I seal the modified pod with the plastic side up. Try and keep the top of the new (Plastic & Foil) tight while attaching to the DIY Pod. Good Luck
@@darrenbivings4227isn't that bad for you the coffee incintact to the present n seal? I wanna try now. So press n seal to the pod and tin foil over press n seal and brew mmm
@@RainorShine1 I sandwich together a sheet of PressNSeal to a same size sheet of Heavy Duty Foil to become one sheet, and then cut it up into disks. Foil side down, PressNSeal up. The PressNSeal helps to keep the Water in the Pod, Sealing in the HOT water. The Foil is used to keep the Seal firmly Attached.
Good vdeo on how to make your own pod. Just one suggestion. Nesspreso coffe should always be an appreciation for the taste buds appreciation for the beauty of the look of a good coffee. Try using a double wall Bodum or other glass mug. You would be surprised at the beauty of the coffee and the foam.
Not only do I do this more than once a everyday, I have a rack of Modified Nesspresso Vertuo Pods set up to go for 2 weeks. I buy great coffee and I roast my own Green Beans from South America, Africa and Jamaica. My coffee is the *BOMB.* Check out my earlier post on *"PressNSeal"* on *"Heavy Duty Foil"* to create my own *"DIY Nesspresso Vertuo"* Pods.
Why not just make an ordinary coffee with the coffee you add to the pod, even better for the planet. ;-) Didn't realise Nespresso have these new capsules coded and patented until 2030 hence they are pushing buyers to them as the patent on the orginals has run out.
Don’t mind me asking, why do you have Nesspresso maker if you are not enjoying Nesspresso coffee? Just get your self a regular latte/coffee maker and save all that time for walking that poor dog of yours.

This is even better than purchasing the pre-cut covers. Thank you!
The silver adapter is to enable you to use an original nespresso pod in the vertuo machine as those pods are cheaper and easier to find.
Does that work?
Yes it does but since the volume is smaller as it is the original capsules, the coffee may be weaker depending on the strength of the coffee.
That is good to hear. I will try it out. Thanks for sharing.
EN
(cling film)/(plastic wrap)/(papel filme) is easier and works very well with only one capsule, you need to wrap the entire capsule

Great hack! Thank you
Why not just warm up the cup in the microwave?
Thaaaank you! ☕️
Very clever!

Mine leaks coffee from the bottom, uhh!!!
PressNSeal on Heavy Duty Foil with a Medium Grind. Make it tight and make sure you line up the grooves like he said in the video.
your coffee is watery
En serio hacéis esto? No se lo cree nadie que esto lo haces cada día para tomar café por dios, que pérdida de tiempo, no entiendo los 221 k. Saludos

but you have so many grounds in your coffee that is disgusting
I have a life. Who has time to do all this.
Exactly my thought
Congratulations, you make more money than the rest of us.

Same reason why you 'd buy a nesspresso machine over a kreig: pressure for espresso-like shots. Other than that, there's not much of a difference
It’s cost. Real is about $1.25 cup. Use your own and it’s less than $.25.
OMG what a schlepp.
