My tip is that I run an espresso or lungo shot with no pod when I want hot water. As long as the machine is clean, this is an easy way to get the perfect ratio and temp of hot water for an americano. I have a creatista plus.

Thanks for explaining why disposing of the pods right away is important! I find Vertuo makes bitter coffee, and I wonder if that is the reason. I ran clean cycles and hopefully this will improve the taste of the coffee.

@@BuddysDadd go on Amazon and look for aluminum stickers to go on them. I saved all my capsules and all you have to do is refill them and get the stickers to back on top. You can do any flavors you want. I actually got the cafe bustle I espresso from target to use on them and it works perfect. I’ll try to find a link

This is so helpful 😱 now that I have my Vertuo I barely use the original too! It was my first love but the bigger pods are so much easier. I haven’t descaled my Vertuo as yet so I would be very interested in that video!!!! I figured out how to stop the coffee by accident because my cup was too small and about to overflow everywhere 🤣

Morning, I've purchased the ALTO large capsules for Vertuo plus machine.. The light on top turns Red and the machine won't brew the coffee 😢.. I've wasted a couple already.. any thoughts?. Do I have to reprogram the machine for the large size capsule
Is there a way to brew espresso with a regular coffee pod? I've heard you can by tapping the button twice (on my vertuo machine) but it didnt work. Is there a way?
Is there an option to run an empty shot of water between shots to clean the needles in VL ? Eg OL we can press the espresso/lungo button for extra water or clean in between shots. I just got a Vertuo plus but I can’t find any info for this option.
You can Tun a clean cycle. With machine off press the top button three times until it lights up orange. The machine will run a clean cycle a few secs later. It will run for five minutes but you can also just stop it when ever you want by pressing top buttton once

I'm a new vertuo plus person. I never drank coffee. Bought it for when my kids when they visit. BUT, i'm now hooked. Love my Vanilla latte. Actually I bought a bunch of flavors. Thanks or all your helpful advice. Took the Pod out and I'll clean it today. Granted I only make one cup a day.

I took your advice and I called the Nespresso customer service because my NEXT machine was acting up when I was trying to clean it. I ended up getting the VertuoPlus in White ! Thanks so much for giving me the courage to call. I am super excited to get creamy dense creama instead of it looking burnt! Thanks again!
Yeah no. I won’t be registering. Anything happens into the land fill it goes. So far not impressed. It will be lucky if it makes it to the yard sell this spring.
I’m so glad I bought this machine today. I had to chuck my next, nothing but problems. I did like the design better but it’s the coffees that will brew without capsule recognition issues and I need my coffee in the morning.

What if you start the machine after stopping it for the top off but you don't stop it manually? Will it drain out the whole water tank? Or will it be reprogrammed to fill another 80ml of water (assuming you're using a double expresso pod in there)
Reprogramming is a whole different setting/sequence of button pressing so I know for a fact it won’t be reprogrammed. Just guessing here, since the machine knows what pod it has, it might just stop when it has to depending on the pod you insert. I doubt I’ll ever forget to stop it and I really don’t want to test it just for that so hopefully that helps in knowing that at least it won’t be reprogrammed
@@_Alexmojica I actually tested it out of curiosity lol, yes it recognizes the pod via the barcode scanning system, even though it's empty. So, if it's an 80ml pod, it will dispense 80ml of plain hot water and stops itself.

If you program it, then that means you will also be drinking diluted coffee because it will do it for all the same size pods you program it to. I would instead long press the button shortly after it’s done to add more water to the brew. Hope that makes sense

iam sure you will know my problem,,,,when i turn my vertuo plus on in morning i cannot forewarm it,,,i mean with the ordenary nespresso i start it without pod in it so i just run water throu it then its nice and warm when i put new pod in,,but how do i do this with new vertuo as i do this with vertuo and i add pod then it only gives alittle coffee so i have to press it again with same pod in to get my full glass please please help,,ernie in netherlands btw i love your videos so much thank you
Hi, I don’t think the plus allows you to Just run water without the pod. Also the machine will only brew the amount of coffee the pod is programmed for. If you like a lot of coffee maybe the big coffee mug size pod will be better for ypu
You can’t set it, it will brew the designated amounts depending on what pod you put in it. You can change the factory setting but then it will do that brew for all the same size pods you do it for. I personally don’t recommend that. If you want to do it though I would follow manual instructions because I’m not sure how

Why is it that different favoured pods tastes just coffee and not what they on label? Like vanilla custurd pie and hazelnut tastes almost same as coffee and smells only as it states.
I have the original line, but I plan to purchase a vertuo machine soon. And even though I don’t have a vertuo machine, I did learn that you can stop the coffee and start it again by pressing the button. How neat is that? Now I’m wondering if you can do this with the original machine (citiz). Please make a video showing tips and tricks for the original line. @@_Alexmojica if I have to do all that work I will just stick to my regular coffee pot then I put in a blender and it’s the best cup of coffee- I tried re brewing a pod and I thought it taste good a lot less stong
I would say try doing a cleaning, I have a video for that if not do a descaling, other than that if nothing solves it and your machine is still under warranty is call nespresso.
I don’t think it is made to do that, and no they don’t have those kind of capsules. Some machines have that hot water function but I don’t think Vertuo plus does 🤔
Just receive my machine for Christmas, I was so nervous to open it but now after watching your videos . I open the box and the coffee samples are ready to use and I used 2/12 . I definitely enjoy the taste
Hi I'm really confused I have a lattisima Nespresso machine and bought solimo lungo pods I want to make latte now but. Do I need a different pod ? I can't see pods specifically for cappuccino or latte ?
Hi! A latte is made out of espresso, any pos that is labeled espresso you can use for latte. Some lungo pods allow you to brew as espresso but you gotta double check their description for that online or on the packaging. Lungo adds too much water which wouldn’t be a true latte

The vertuo machine doesn’t have that function unfortunately, but you can stop a brew early if you press the button when you’ve had enough

Might be just your taste buds everyone’s is different, I can taste the difference between both. Have you descaled or cleaned your machine recently?

I have the original line, but I plan to purchase a vertuo machine soon. And even though I don’t have a vertuo machine, I did learn that you can stop the coffee and start it again by pressing the button. How neat is that? Now I’m wondering if you can do this with the original machine (citiz). Please make a video showing tips and tricks for the original line. Thank you for sharing this wonderful and organized information.

Love your videos I cannot find a coffee that taste good they’re all too strong. Any suggestions and I do not like flavored coffee
Sometimes it’s the frothy crema that’s bitter. Try mixing it or removing it
@@_Alexmojica if I have to do all that work I will just stick to my regular coffee pot then I put in a blender and it’s the best cup of coffee- I tried re brewing a pod and I thought it taste good a lot less stong

I'm thinking of buying a vertuo line machine. I wanted to buy the next but after seeing your other video I'm not really sure if it's a good choice..
I’d go with the plus. The automatic opening and closing of the plus makes it feel more luxurious
How do you fix a machine, who’s pump is clogged?
I would say try doing a cleaning, I have a video for that if not do a descaling, other than that if nothing solves it and your machine is still under warranty is call nespresso.

Is it possible to just get hot water from the Vertuo for hot chocolate or tea bags? And does Nespresso sell tea or hot chocolate capsules?
I don’t think it is made to do that, and no they don’t have those kind of capsules. Some machines have that hot water function but I don’t think Vertuo plus does 🤔

Just receive my machine for Christmas, I was so nervous to open it but now after watching your videos . I open the box and the coffee samples are ready to use and I used 2/12 . I definitely enjoy the taste

Hi I'm really confused I have a lattisima Nespresso machine and bought solimo lungo pods I want to make latte now but. Do I need a different pod ? I can't see pods specifically for cappuccino or latte ?
Hi! A latte is made out of espresso, any pos that is labeled espresso you can use for latte. Some lungo pods allow you to brew as espresso but you gotta double check their description for that online or on the packaging. Lungo adds too much water which wouldn’t be a true latte
