Thank you for this! I had coffee building up around the edge where the Pods are inserted. I followed your dismantling of the VertuoPlus and found the spring arms were connected to one arm and not separately. The pressure wasnt there clamping down on the pod and it was a successful fix. One thing to note- you will also need a T9 screw as well as the T10 which you note in the description.

I wanted to reactivate my Vertuo and so I bought some pods. Then I wanted to rinse the machine and it was clogged. Thank's to your video I could fix it. Very nice walk through and explanations. If it is possible to fix then you should try to fix it. Better for the World, better for your wallet. And now that it is fixed, I can spend all the saved money on coffee😅

Very through - thank you. I was hoping to see where the laser reads the cartridge, but after disassembling much of this machine, and still not getting to the sensors, I will give it back to my daughter. This seems to be an extraordinary effort - three motors, heaters, electronics, seals, springs, etc,, just to cook some coffee. I'm not sure the coffee it makes tastes any better than using a good, freshly roasted coffee, ground right, and brewed at 194 degrees - far cheaper, and ultra reliable.

Excellent video, thanks for taking the time to do this.
My 5 year old machine had been getting quite noisy, sometimes a standard cleaning cycle would help a bit.
However, the other day the machine finally refused to go on! Each time you pressed the button to make the coffee the button went red,
    the cleaning cycle did nothing.
I followed your instructions and fully dimantled the top end. The inside of the spiked coffee head thing was very gunked up, it was slightly different to the one you show, it had two metal disks (correction - you do show two disks/gaskets in the video but they appear as one, almost stuck together) I thoroughly cleaned everything I could get to, the machine is now quieter than I can ever remember it! Works perfectly and the coffee tastes great.
This job is not for the faint hearted but your video shows everything you need to see, it's great that you can clearly see how tricky some bits are, and you can get a good idea of how much force you may need to use at times.
Thanks again, you definitley saved me from having to buy a new machine!

Thank you so much for this video. You are correct in that I think it is the only video that shows you a tear down of this machine on the internet. Unfortunately, so far, I have taken mine apart but can’t identify the leak as it is not yet leaking whilst the plastic outer parts have been removed.😂. I will continue to use/test it before putting it all back together, in the hope that it will leak like it did before I took it apart, so that I can identify the problem🎉

Wile removing the top mechanism, I noticed that it was not rotating. The ball bearing was dry and seized. I just open it, force some grease into it and make sure it was moving free.
I cleaned all the components. Reassemble it and voilà!

This is our second K-Classic. We had our first one for many years, so when we had to replace it, we wanted nothing else but this exact ruclips.net/user/postUgkxBrV-RbF5Nk0Rlt9i15aao-YMzqzTG8Vf model. We use it for about three people everyday in the morning. The taste and quick brew is one of the reasons we like it so much. There are so many choices of brands of coffee that we would grab what was on sale and test the different brands from there. I would definitely recommend trying different brands of coffee to find the ones you like the most because there are brands that quite frankly taste horrible.

The bearing is the biggest problem I have experienced with this model as the noise it made was unbearable and likely not good for the machine. The bearing is a series 6001, which is 12x28x8mm in size. I scoured the Internet for the size/type of bearing, but found no mention of it anywhere for this Nespresso model. The bearing I took out was 6001-2RS (rubber sealed). I replaced it with a 6001-ZZ (metal sealed) Timken bearing purchased from Amazon (2 bearing package for $16). There is significant force required to remove the rotating section from the machine as well as the bearing from the rotating section. I used a 0.75” wide plastic pry bar and worked the bearing off going around the circumference.
I don’t recommend taking the rotating section apart (4 screws) as it is a bear to put back together. I did and found some small bits of coffee, but nothing serious. If you must take it apart, before you do anything, mark where the 2 plastic parts align (tape). When apart, mark where the metal rings align (felt marker). When you put these 2 plastic parts back together, I placed the bottom (sharp) piece on a 1/4” measure cup to provide support, while allowing the center shaft to go inside the cup as the spring is compressed with the top piece.
Great video, which I paused and rewound as I went along. There is no way I could have done this bearing replacement without this video.

      @raymondlamborn5805 Год назад

@@danhaar4112 I used a 0.75” wide plastic pry bar and worked the bearing off going around the circumference. The ~8" long pry bar was from a collection I had to work on the interior/dashboard of a car. Anything thin & narrow & strong enough to put some upward force that fits under the bearing in the space allowed will work. Be patient and slowly work it off by going around the entire circumference of the bearing - may need to go around the bearing circumference more than once if it is jammed on there.

Hi. This is one of the most informative Nespresso demo available. Thank You for sharing. Don’t mind the background music. One question if I may, the dismantling is great, do you have a breakdown of what elements of the device cause what faults? The constant RED light is an issue and would appreciate some guidance if known. I have a Nespresso that is RED light on and when the device is about to draw water from the reservoir, it errors. I can hear the motor start but, it is almost like, there’s a blockage. You input will be much appreciated.

      Hi folks.
Not managed to repair yet but I noticed there are several service parts available in the UK such as pumps and maybe, someone can identify the most likely part required for this issue.
Too be honest, not knowing what the cause could be, I can’t justify spending money on several parts.
There is definitely something not drawing the water through so I do think it is a ‘flow’ problem!
I would imagine it is a common problem though, no one I can see, has managed to post a result.
Mine is in a box in pieces and unless, fixed, will just be discarded. Shame really but I am an advocate for repairing and recycling wherever possible.

My machine is definitely showing the freeplay up and down. I ran it with cup catcher off to confirm that it is leaking from the cup area. Your video ends with not showing how to fix that, and you don't know what is actually causing it. So I spent 35 minutes watching to find out that I need to replace the unit.

I have lately problem this machine last 4 pods, excessive vibration. Coffee grind on top lid of pods, not past lip , between center hole and inside rim diameter holes, I carefully remove hot pod from machine not letting it tilt eject , My machine is from 2019 or 2020 silver round head vertuo same one you show bearing replacement . Is this a problem anyone else has ?

Thankyou for your video. Some of these fail because the tiny yellow (teflon?) lip seal under the pressurised pod chamber has a very limited lifespan. When it starts weeping, liquid is allowed onto the lower 24 volt DC motor, which severely limits it's life..... Hopeless design. See my video at ruclips.net/video/cCdbVMdCzR0/видео.html

Im curious, who has the time to go through all of this to replace a part and put it all back together, to find out it may not fix the problem and you have to take it apart again and change another part???? All for a $100 coffee maker from china? Seriously

Funny enough, the one I bought 4 years ago, was made in the Ukraine, seriously. Sure letting repair it will cost you the price of a new one, but if you're in DIY then why not give it try and help save some Ressourcen.
