The reason the last one was so much better than the other two was because it actually played off of aspects of the game rather than just having some mediocre horror in Don’t Starve. I still don’t necessarily think it’s great but aside from a couple parts of it it feels like something that would actually happen in Don’t Starve due to its horror aspects, and also the person in it was the only one where they thought to try console cammands

Maybe use the spider pot to cheese bosses. Most dst creepypastas kinda fall short with the fact, that you can't somehow exploit all this weird stuff to your benefit.

It seems like it's hard to write creepypasta for Don't Starve considering that even if they were better-written, nothing in the story is really that much scarier than the stuff already in the game. The Grue just sounds like an ultrastrong beardlord. This is a game where your hallucinations will become real and try to kill you, the creep factor is already there.
The Grue is pathetic considering the guy legit used the console so why not then summon like three misery toadstools or maybe setting your hp and sanity to 99999999999 like what's stopping him from modding in an infinite damage weapon or something
First one well being a mother is more terrifying so you don’t know pure terror until your kid walks into the room with a bloody nose or just blood on them in general even if it isn’t theirs you can sort of immediately start freaking out
16:34 im bored so i wrote this :3 This just happened when I was playing through dst today. I had finally defeated the Ancient Fuelweaver for the first time. Things after that happened just like I always saw, with the portal making all sorts of weird noises. But something was different. When I hovered over the portal with my mouse, it said I had the option to enter it. I hesitantly clicked on it, which caused a pop up to appear on my screen, saying something like “If you do this, your fate will be sealed, and nothing will be the same ever again. Are you sure?” I figured this was leading up to something big, so I decided to click no so I could fully prepare. But the moment I clicked no, an earthquake started, and a bunch of boulders fell in place of the entrance, blocking me in. With no other choice, I clicked on the portal again, and clicked yes. My screen faded to black, and in the background, I heard the world generation noises. The only thing on screen was a single word in the center of my screen: Nightmare. I woke up in a new world, that seemed completely desolate. The ground was all rocky with no variation, and it seemed to stretch on with almost nothing in sight as far as the eye could see. I eventually came across a tree, but the moment I got close to it, it faded to dust. After that, I heard the sound of creaking in the distance. It was far away, but it was getting noticeably closer. I decided I didn’t want to stick around to see what that was, and kept moving. It continued like that for a while, with absolutely nothing in sight apart from occasional piles of ash and dust, that always faded before I could pick them up. After a while, I put on the bone helmet, wondering if there was some sort of puzzle, but the moment I did, a massive horde of nightmare creatures starting running towards me. I took the helmet off before they could hurt me. After a while, dusk fell, and I had still not found anything. I didn’t have any food or a light source, so I was starting to get kind of desperate. The distant sound of creaking was still there, still chasing me, but when dusk fell, I started hearing all sorts of other strange noises as well. There wasn’t anything on screen, but I still felt like I was being surrounded. After a while night fell, and the world was almost completely silent. Despite not having a light source, charlie wasn’t attacking me, but I’m not sure why. I did, however, start to hear a different noise in the dark. The sound of skittering. I kept moving, but whatever was making that noise was keeping pace with me. I held still for just a second, and it dealt a huge chunk of damage, taking me down to one health, and even taking some of my max health. I kept running until the night was over. Eventually the night ended, and whatever had hit me had disappeared. But when I could see again I noticed something strange. My character was moving noticeably slower, and their left hand was missing. Had whatever attacked me in the night taken it off? Is that why I lost some of my max health? I wanted to think about things more, but the sound of creaking made me decide to keep moving. Even after walking all this way, the world still had no end in sight, and I still hadn’t found anything at all. My hunger was getting dangerously low, when suddenly I noticed an announcement in red text at the top of the screen. “You are hungry.” I looked down at my inventory again and noticed something new. A severed hand. It said it was consumable, but that seemed like a bad idea. I kept walking a little farther, my hunger getting close to 0, when suddenly, the message appeared again. you are hungry. you are hungry you are hungryyouarehungryYouAreHungryYouAreHuNGRYYOUAREHUNGRYYOUAREHUNGRYYOUAREHUNGRYOUAREHUNGRYYOUARE- I couldn’t take it anymore. I didn’t really want to, but it sounded better than whatever this is. But the moment I put the helmet on, before I could even react, dozens of shadow hands flew towards me from all angles. The moment they touched me, the loudest sound I had ever heard played out of my headphones, and a bunch of symbols flashed on my computer screen. Shortly after, my game crashed, and my computer blue screened. I haven’t been able to turn it on since. Is this the new update? That kinda sucked. You have to do so much to access the new content, and it’s not even worth it. It feels like it does more harm than good. They only added like 2 new items and you can’t even use them to craft anything. And did they seriously add an enemy that takes away your max health? Clearly klei should stop making updates and hire me to make the game instead. Update: I know you guys probably won’t believe me but I need to get this out. Ever since my game crashed, I haven’t been able to get those symbols out of my head. Last night, I had the strangest dream. I was in a desolate plane, with the only things around being ash and dust.
