It is sad and devastating how Boomerang fell into the garbage with the rebranding. Boomerang was the place for old cartoons and it should’ve stay that way. Honestly it’s hard to say what this future holds for the network. My only best bet is another rebrand but maybe and hopefully a new rebrand to have that classic feel but to fit well into modern day. Honestly it’s hard to say to see what happens with Boomerang.

Boomerang used to be in my opinion one of the best cartoon channels of all time up there with cartoon Network and Nickelodeon but now it's just a Frankin Stein's monster of a streaming channel I truly cannot believe what cartoon Network did to it
From what I have seen from my TV guide, Boomerang’s programming has seemed to have bounced back, not to its original programming, but still, a little more diversity. On a regular weekday, there’s a mix between new and old Scooby Doo reboots and original Tom and Jerry and Looney Toons one hour blocks. Dexter’s Laboratory and the Smurfs are aired during late night. The neon colored rebrand style is still there, and I hope it would be reverted back to its former glory with shorts mixed during commercial breaks. I would definitely like to see other classics mixed into their programming as well and bring back other blocks like Boomeraction.
D.C. Network I agree with you Boomerang hasn't been the same as it used to be. It needs to be like the good old days the way it was from the beginning.
@@Hewylewis I actually didn't know about it until reading this comment. I don't really think it's going to affect CN much at all. The most I could see them doing is putting a Discovery produced kids show on CN.
I think we will see a complete makeover for these channels in the fall. Cartoon Network with “hopefully” gain variety with these new shows, plus cartoonito. Adult swim will probably change a bit since there losing shows like family guy and adding anime to their schedule. So I can see boomerang also changing too. (Hopefully for the better)

Boomerang was basically Cartoon Network Classic, but with the trend of cable television slow decline the only way I could see Boomerang return to it’s former glory is for more Hanna-Barbera cartoons to be put on HBO Max including the action cartoons like The Real Adventures of Johnny Quest, Pirates of Dark Water, Swat Kats, The Centurions , the Challenge of the Gobots , Space Ghost and Thundarr the Barbarian and christen that section of the streaming service Boomerang.
The Old Boomerang is part of my childhood. I don’t like the new one. The old one is better. Not to mention the logo and commercial bumper are so spectacular.
Now do the rise and fall and rise again- Boomerang is slowly becoming once again the network of classic Hanna-Barbera cartoons. Early mornings still have a short block of new stuff but most of it is classics again now.
Literally, Boomerang rightnow is a HUGE MESS. it Lacks of identity like they don't know what they are doing and just airing shows in a random way .. Honestly they should return it back to the classic boomerang it's all coming back to you version ..

boonerang was really good around the early 2000s (I think) it's Christmas theme with that elf on the shelf guy was really nice, but now it did went downhill, I like tom and jerry, scooby doo and loony tunes but they need more viraity, they do show old shows like garfiled, old cartoon network shows or old hanna barbera shows but only at late nights when most people are asleep. why can't they show old shows that (as far as I know) not even the old boomerang showed, like: the drack pack the scooby doo-like shows (one had a ghosts as sidekicks and a normal dog), that robot frankenstin's monster and many, many, many more there is so much you can put on there, as well as some holiday specials for haloween to Christmas (and yes thanksgiving too), and they even showed ones from the 30s and more like tex avrey cartoons, I would even put the old 1920s cartoons too if they can get the rights to show them is such a bummer when a company has so much money they could fix it but there could be some problems and maybe is the reason why they did not do anything or they are just too focused on unimportant things at the moment but I hope someday someone will fix all of this and also I would like to bring back the old logo too ang was really good
Well with Pokémon’s case it used to air on Cartoon Network (and boomerang I think as well) because of a contract but after XYZ ended (which is the anime for the 6th generation of games being X and Y) but when the contract was over after XYZ, Disney picked up Sun and Moon’s anime but since their contract was over as well currently Netflix holds Pokémon (and I assume Netflix will keep Pokémon unless their contract ends but I assume it will stay for a while though)

Hate to ruin this, but the toonami anime classics is better than tom and Jerry, Scooby doo, & the Looney tunes classics, they lost pokemon, & they also too lost beyblade.
for me cartoon network is clearly worse , because their cartoons have never appealed to me , but boomerang is so much better : they have the tom and jerry show , new looney tunes , mr bean , taffy and grizzy and the lemmings . these 5 are more than enough for me to be satisfied . they have gotten rid of every single show that did not meet their expectations to make room for the better ones , unfortunately , they stopped airing the garfield show . it was my favourite . now that its gone my new favourite is grizzy and the lemmings

@Chris Smalls A lot of different shows left Cartoon Network around that time. Pokemon left, Beyblade left, among others.

At least yo got the old boomerang until 2015, here in latín América they turned the channel into a teen programming channel in 2006 to 2014
