Hi I'm very interested in getting a zip. What sort of speed can they realistically do derestricted and then with it being modified like yours? What is your full spec please

Hi there,
A stock derestricted zip can probably give you 35mph at max it may take a while to reach there as the acceleration is not good on the stock 50cc 2strokes, however when you have performance parts installed like mine such as a 70cc big bore kit, performance exhaust, bigger carb main jet, racing clutch etc you will reach 40-50mph very quick and you have plenty more torque, top speed by like 20-30mph at least and acceleration.

60mph stock? Are you sure? If so it must take a very long time to reach there? Is it a Zip SP?

My zip hits 40s got no 70 kit same exhaust as u malossi vari and rollers if I grabbed a 70s I whay speed you think I’ll hit stock gearing hitts 58 on zips

Ok sounds good 👍 yeah if you were to grab an ordinary 70cc kit like mine the Malossi Sport your zip will hit around 50-55mph since the increase in acceleration it will hit 40mph much quicker than the time it takes your 50cc bore to reach 40mph especially if you have it tuned well such as right jetting, roller weights and clutch springs.
