    I mean I’m ending up paying less compared to what I normally eat. People are complaining about portion size but that’s another reason I’m paying for it is so I don’t over eat like normally. It’s also healthy and I don’t even have to drive to the grocery store and buy all the ingredients and cook it.

    • @tylerrose4416

      I've been eating Factor meals, and I totally agree with you. This might not be idea for a family but for a single person like myself, this is definitely a good way to go. Someone said it is wasted money. Well, I actually waste more money cooking because I end up wasting a lot of food. I have such a huge issue with preparing too much food. I swear in a past life I probably had 15 kids. It just depends on people's lifestyle. For some it could be a waste of money or not enough food. But for people like myself, it actually is better and proportioned perfectly--good for my lifestyle, for now!

    I tried an introductory 8 meal Keto package for about $60 delivered. My wife likes them, I'm okay as well. Wasn't expecting the auto delivery the following week, $89 and change, about $30 off. Had to cancel deliveries since we can't afford them when the meals get to the $12-$15 price each. I'm going back to meal prep. I've got decent culinary skills, just have to keep adding new recipes. Cheers!

    • @Wolfsheim23
      @Wolfsheim23 Год назад +4

      at 12-15 a meal you can just pick the restaurant you like and have them deliver it. It's fresher, bigger meals, (usually 2 meals worth in 1 serving) and they put more attention on the individual meals. I don't see how these services survive? The ONLY advantage I suppose is if you are so busy, you just can't wait to have it delivered when your ready to eat. You need it already there. You can steal order more meals at once and store them.

      I agree these prices are a little nuts to me, one trip to grocery store with about 40-60 dollars of fresh veggies, rice and protein (chicken, fish, less expensive cuts of meat) I can make about 3 weeks worth of food prep with portions twice the size of these. And I think that's the big thing is the portions of these seem way too small for over 12 bucks a pop.

    Great video, I wanted to find a review on factor and you were the first person I saw, glad I did! Love your cadence in speaking here as well, didn't expect to find someone new to sub to haha. But I agree with you on the price, it's just not worth it for the portion. If it was maybe 1.5 times the portion I'd be into it. And I'm someone who's basically retired, I have money sitting around but.... I still try and think long term and save money, I don't buy a ton of takeout and all that. I think I'm gonna look around more for other meal services because I also saw their menu changes a lot, and half of the options seemed like very unusual meal combinations. Like they're trying TOO hard to make these intricate sounding meal combos, you know? Anyway thanks again, great vid

    Got my first (and last) shipment today. I live in Minnesota so not too hot here. I opened the box within 15 minutes of delivery and the ice packs were totally melted. The food temperatures were 53 degrees Fahrenheit at the coldest and up to 58 degrees Fahrenheit at the warmest. Not Factor’s fault but if I can’t depend on the meals arriving at a safe temperature here in Minnesota I just won’t risk it again. Customer service was helpful and issued a refund. I hope everyone else has better luck than I did.

I really cannot justify $348 per MONTH for just myself. $350-400 per month is what some people might pay for food for a family… not just by themselves.

I like lighter meals at lunch and I hate cooking. I also like more variety than meal prepping the same lunches multiple times a week. It's hard to cook for one person without a lot of left overs to deal with. So we'll see if the convenience makes the full price worth it for me.

    I just signed up for the Keto "friendly" meals. I went shopping for keto friendly foods and they aren't cheap. If you can find them. $1.60 for regular spaghetti sauce turns into $5.00 not to mention the same for the keto pasta and on and on.. So when you look at the per meal prices you should FACTOR that in (pun unintended). I think this is a great deal considering 12 to 15 bucks these days is mostly fast food country. I can't go there anymore and expect stay healthy.

      I wanted to update my first post. I feel the need to caution people with my experience. After around 7 months out of 9, in my subscription to the weekly delivery, the shipping and delivery has been plagued by problems. Some boxes never show up (that's a weeks' worth of dinners) and some have been shorted meals due to ingredient shortages. They have a good customer service department and are responsive with refunds and discounts but that's not why I joined. I think they are growing faster than they can handle. The meals are exceptionally good but as of this post, they have become undependable. I hope they can overcome these issues before they lose customers and fade into memory because it is a good service when they are firing on all cylinders. Ironically, I live in a city with a huge Factor assembly facility (where they make these meals).

Yes you can go to the grocery store to make your own meals for less but will you? About 700-900 mg of sodium per meal on average. Pretty high. If you are on a low sodium diet, I wouldn’t eat more than one a day.

      @@Daniyoyo I am 39 not 40 until aug Even at a 2000 calorie diet it doesn't meet any daily caloric standard even if you eat 3 a day at the most 1800 calories and if you purchase the 18 meal plan from factor and get 120 dollar's off which is being offered now through other offers on yt. It was still 115 usd total. That would only be 6 days covered I would still have to cook the 7th day and this doesn't include snacks drinks or anything else I might want throughout the day. So 445 dollars for almost 1 month is insane and that's with the discount at best it looks like 12 ounces a meal (from the package in the video) not sure if that's the meal and package or just the meal either way I eat 1lb to 1.5 lb per meal usually. Also for reference a 12 inch club sub sandwich from subway is just over 18 ounces 514 grams so a little over a pound far better deal then these half prepared meals of which I would need 2 to feel close to full. Maybe this works for women but for the average guy its under what is needed. As women usually need less calories per day unless training as an athlete

    How is the salt content in them? You mentioned a few were somewhat bland or not seasoned so I'm curious if this is one food service that finally doesn't overload their meals with salt to preserve the flavor. Just about every meal service I've looked at has insanely high salt content that pretty much negates the health value. I think these services are kind of nice if you are constantly on the go, but I also think it's a lot cheaper to just buy your own ingredients and cook at home. Only issue is right now with inflation grocery prices are through the roof.

      I've been looking too, and I have to agree that salt content is high in most of these "healthy" meals from the couple of services I have checked out. As far as taste goes everybody has different tastes so by adding your own seasoning will turn the bland meal into one good meal for you. A lot of these meals looks so much better and appetizing if you take the few seconds to put it on a plate. Eating from a plastic container usually turns me off - ugh.

    I've ordered 4 boxes from Factor so far and honestly I think they suck at what they do. First and second boxes were ok. Some of the meals were way to small. The 3rd box was MISSING 4 MEALS and the 5th box I yet have to receive as its going on 2 days late. I most likely will be searching for a better company that can handle what they're supposed to do
