I am 79 and have been using Factor for 3 months using the six meals choice. I can honestly say I have not had one bad meal. They work with you if you need to skip a week.
So tasty and easy to order, prepare, and REALLY ENJOY!!!

Just got my first box. I am a recreational bodybuilder that hates spending too much time on cooking. This will not be as practical on the wallet as making your own meals, but to me I see it as a net positive considering I will be ordering takeout considerably less frequently, and saving time overall. Going to try it out for at least a few weeks but based on the few meals I’ve had already they’re pretty good.

Same - I can't be bothered cooking my meals all the time. I like the option of having some of these handy in my fridge. Most of the meals I've tried so far were solid.

I’ve been doing intermittent fasting as well as the OMAD diet, which is one meal a day and it was hard doing this diet and training my body and I had to increase with a multivitamin calcium as well as a egg collagen/vegan protein powder drink for breakfast, but I have my one Factor 75 meal no later than 4 o’clock and I don’t eat anything else for the rest of the day doing this and going to the gym. I have brought my A1c levels down, and I have brought my diabetes in remission, what I mean by that is I am no longer a type two diabetic I am prediabetic I have been took off of my medication. I have lost weight a lot which gave me enough energy to start going to the gym. I am now going to the gym 3 to 4 times a week. I am losing weight getting healthy and the meals are delicious. I don’t purchase a meal from factor on a weekly basis lol I skipped meals but that’s because I order the max amount which is 28 meals and then maybe the other three or four days of the month I cook and with those 28 factor meals I eat one of those meals a day with a protein smoothie in the morning for breakfast I love it and I’ve never had any type of surgery as far as Gastric bypass surgery but when I decided that I was going to go on this health journey and eat less than 800 cal I said damn people who get their stomach cut in half after having gastric bypass surgery they have to take multivitamins because they don’t get enough nutrition although me eating my one meal and my healthy smoothie is enough nutrition. I was scared since I wasn’t eating that many calories since I decided to start doing the one meal a day, so I started taking vitamins to counteract if I was doing something wrong even though I was not, I have took a step back on the vitamins. My body is getting used to this routine and my body is burning calories due to the inner minute fasting of just having the one meal a day and having it at a set time, I am so proud of my success. The factor 75 meals are good lol the only issue is I have to eat them in private because when I do finally eat one I look crazy as if I hadn’t ate in many days I don’t know is it that good or is it because I only have one bill a day but ever since my first taste, I’ve never gone back don’t get me wrong I do have a snack but you can’t really count a fruit salad mixed up with leafy greens and nuts and meal. I literally just have one meal a day and that’s the Factor 75 outside of my healthy smoothie for breakfast and my snack at six but factor is that shit

I'm on my 3rd week. I was suspicious when I got a delivery notification the day before my first box and it was coming from hello fresh. I wasn't aware they were affiliated. Either way, it's not bad. The big win is not having to worry about what you're going to cook for dinner after you get home from work every night. You may not want to have them for every meal, but you can supplement part of your week. Definitely better than doordash.

I like the Factor meals. Overall, I rate them as Good, better than Fair but not Great. Some meals are Very Good, some are just Meh. If you put the food onto a plate, it looks like regular-sized portions. For some reason, it looks like less food if eaten out of the plastic tray. Plate it first.

Out of all the meal delivery services, Factor is probably the best, although it can be a bit on the fatty side. And you gotta watch the carbs, even when you choose the Keto-friendly option. It is expensive, but they have deals from time to time. I usually get it for a week or 2 when it's less than 10 bucks per meal.

Gym day im gonna guess somewhere between 2000-2200 calories burned that day. 3x 650 meals is almost there, if you wanna lose weight that would be it, just drink water. If you wanna gain weight you might want some protein shakes to go over that 2200. But overrall, yeah, you definitely dont want 1000 calories a meal unless youre only doing like 2 meals a day.

  • @antman674

Just got my first box. I was pretty impressed with the ingredients list. No added sugar and low on the preservatives/additives. 95% of the ingredients are just normal stuff you would expect to see if it were a home cooked meal. I was a little disappointed in the high fat and calorie content though. You have to be careful what you order because some of the meals that sound healthy can be deceptively high in calories and/or saturated fats. The blackened salmon with cauliflower "grits" and brocolli for instance, had a lot of cheese and cream added to make the grits. Overall 600cal, 44g fat (18 sat.), and 39g protein. Not thrilled with those macros personally. It did taste pretty good though. Not mind blowing or anything but better than most frozen meals from the grocery store anyway. Looking forward to seeing how the chicken and beef meals turn out.
My first box was discounted to around $6-7 per meal (with shipping and everything) and at that price its a pretty good deal. But at $11-12 for the regular pricing, you're really paying a premium for the convenience more than anything else. But I'll post a response if the other meals blow me away and change my mind on that lol.

I've ordered 4 boxes from Factor so far and honestly I think they suck at what they do. First and second boxes were ok. Some of the meals were way to small. The 3rd box was MISSING 4 MEALS and the 5th box I yet have to receive as its going on 2 days late. I most likely will be searching for a better company that can handle what they're supposed to do. So from going to getting 4 meals short to the next box being 2 days late I had to improvise for 4 days because I had no food because of their incompetence. They definitely need to be better especially at what they charge

    1) I assure you there is no legal or professional licensing requirements to call someone a "gourmet chef" and so their chefs are what everyone else uses, minimum wage line cooks.
The same thing is true of all of the other words they use to describe their food. No 3rd party independently judged words (conforms with some standard) are ever used in any of their ads.
It's hospital or military or prison food way overpriced. Maybe a slight improvement to those institutional foods.

If this service cost 50% more because it used glass or stainless steel packaging that carried a deposit and was returnable for reuse, I would use it. I love the idea of this. However, no way am I re-heating the food in that plastic, and I'm not comfortable with it being transported in plastic. I see it is "BPA free". The problem with plastics is there are dozens of other leach chemicals in them other than BPAs that impact the endocrine system of mammals. There literally is no food-safe plastic. It continues to leach poisonous chemicals as it ''naturally'' degrades over time.

    • @sprintkitchen9570
      @sprintkitchen9570  2 года назад +8

Yeah I totally understand and that’s ok as a personal preference.
Unfortunately, there are plastics in almost every sort of packaging that we use. For example, bottled water, plastic silverware at a food court, gatorade, fruit packaging, chicken packaging etc. Your blenders have BPA free plastic containers. Are you going to avoid drinking smoothies the rest of your life?
It’s almost impossible to avoid plastic. I would love if the meals came in cardboard trays or some kind of bamboo material but for me it’s not a deal breaker.

Looks like the food hello fresh has. Food got boring same thing over and over. Only 50%of the choices was worth trying. I work get bored of this too.
This is not for people that are picky and would rather have a good old fashion meatloaf and tators or spaghetti and meatballs. Its Good for people that like bla😝 food.

Not trying to be one of those Grammer Nazi's but figured you'd like to know gyro is pronounced as yeero, it's Greek.
