You sold me, boys. I just ordered a Gap(50 degree), sand (54 degree) and lob (58 degree).
I've been looking for wedges ever since I appear to have left my sand and lob wedges on a course. These look like winners.
New gen 3s run $190 each. I bought the Gen 2s for less than $90 each.
Thanks for the test on these clubs.

Does TXG have Bettinardi putters in the putter line up? I haven't seen any on the videos...just curious. I think at present count I have about 6 Bettinardi putters in my loft/golf locker. The feel of Bettinardi putters (especially those with the FIT face) is euphoric!

You mentioned that better players tend to hit that lower spinny ball flight on wedges. Could you do a video on maybe what technique changes could be made to help a player bring their flight from the 100 foot high but lower spin to that 80 foot spinny shot?

@@wallstreetoneil Tip on playing clean wedges/irons....go to a dollar store or hardware store and find a 'nail brush' (or search online)...they are dirt cheap....you might even find them in packages of two for under $10...keep it in your pocket during your round and after every shot...just brush the dirt from the groves once or twice...before you put your iron, wedge back in your bag...it really makes a difference on contact and spin.

Setup in the middle of your stance or a little towards your back foot whatever feels more comfortable but if the ball is placed too far forward you’re not leaning the shaft enough DONT SWING OUT TO IN AT ALL you don’t necessarily have to try and hit a draw but once it gets passed neutral the flight goes up spin goes down.I used to look an inch in front of the ball and hit it while never looking directly at the golf ball, it forces you to lean the shaft more without thinking about it. Spin is all about the strike so don’t worry about swinging out of your shoes to get more spin, a perfectly struck smooth swing will spin a lot more than a 110% swing missing the center of the face by 1/8 inch. The 50 yard shot will be half the height and double the spin and a full shot will do the same and that stroke is how you hit the one hop stopper too. Hoped this helped dude. @austi16 4 года назад

I had Bettinardi wedges until six or eight months ago when I was talked into a set of Vokeys and that is a decision that I'm regretting somewhat. The Bettinardi's are soft and felt amazing while the Vokey's, by comparison, are hard and clicky and don't match the feel of my forged Mizuno MP33 irons. Now I'm thinking about trading back to the Bettinardi wedges.

Love these wedges they are absolutely the softest and best feeling wedges I have ever played. I always thought that Vokeys were the best and played them for years. But after hitting some of the forged irons the past few years I realize how clicky and hard they are. Been searching for a nice forged wedge, I had the Mizen S 18’s and they were OK. Had issues with fat and thin shots and distance. My wedges were always significantly shorter than my stock Iron set depending on what I was playing. These Bettinardis are just as long as my stocks and are just so consistent. I had two chip ins for birdie in one round with my 58° wedge a few weeks back to win our match. My buddies now sigh every time I pull them out, and my opponents want to throw them in the woods LOL. Out of the sand rough or Fairway they are extremely easy to hit. I used to always be nervous with a wedge in my hand that I would hit it fat, but these just cut through anything.

I have 50 degree with the modus 115 wedge shaft ($10 upcharge) and love it. My other wedges are PXG sugar daddy and Romeo. The Betti is just as soft and spins crazy consistent. If I didn’t get a great deal on the PXGs I’d have the Betti’s as my other wedges. Great video as usual.
