    Love you guys & the content--but the new intro music reminds me of a pickup truck commercial. A little generic for who you guys are--to me, at least. Sent with love.

    I love that you are continually tweaking and improving and experimenting with the content and the format and the style. Personally I don't think the intro or the music fits what I think of the "brand", but I love that you evolve and change and wanted to try something different. Another excellent video chaps.

      I have a set of both SM9 Vokeys and Jaws Raw. I prefer the Jaws over my Vokeys in every situation but bounce. My Vokeys are 14° bounce in 56/60 and 12° in 52. For when i play soft conditions. I get about 250rpm more spun on my Jaws Raw and better feel off the face.

    Had a chance to hit these the other day. Love the raw face, love the grind selection, HATE the stock grip. It's the Lamkin UTx for Callaway, it's incredibly slick, and it just felt terrible. It's probably supposed to have a velvety feel, but it just feels bad. The sales guy at Golf Galaxy offered to change out the grips right there, in-store... sweet! You mean I'd have to pay ~$10 per new grip and about $3 per club to have them re-gripped there on the spot? On top of an already $180 wedge x3?? I passed, obviously. If ordering from the Callaway site, I would absolutely recommend changing out the grip for literally anything else before it's shipped.

    Raw clubs are a win win for club manufacturers. Looks cool AF and the faces wear out quicker. Is there that much benefit to the average consumer? Probably not. But I like the look so will still probably buy one.

    Will it be spinning more when it’s new but wear down quicker than a plated face then a plated face retains higher spin for longer?

    • @joshyxz
      @joshyxz 2 года назад +1

      I’d like to know this also, as raw it will rust there for will it deteriorate the grooves faster, especially when having to brush the dust off every now and then

    • @adamstoutjesdyk3923
      @adamstoutjesdyk3923 2 года назад +1

      They last similarly. The thing with raw is they look worn faster… All you need is the good old thumbnail trick if you drag your nail down them and it still makes a snapping grab sound they’re good. Once the sound goes away it’s time to replace. High lofted wedges for your low to mid HCP golfer should be replaced after 125 rounds/Range sessions combined. The biggest benefit of raw is how much softer they are and that around the greens they don’t come off quick and firm. They feel soft and allow for more confidence on soft handed dead touch shots.

      I like the info I get from them, but their club makeups are always going to be more than I want to spend. The most I've ever spent on a single set was a full set of Hogans that I got on black Friday deal. Once I got those, I sort of tuned out.

      How the club looks at address is a little different between the brands. I love Vokeys, the MG3's are okay, but the Callaway wedges always look like they have more offset (to my eye) which is why I never go with them even though they feel awesome.
