Guys this is the single best swing key I have been given in years. I’m a long hitter who has been suffering from tendinitis in my left hand (I’m a righty) it’s been getting better but I’ve lost distance since coming back and my swing has felt finicky. I just absolutely striped 150 balls at my old distance with a better dispersion than I have in my life. Thank you so much…oh and no hand pain the entire time. Absolutely insane.

Wow! I had given up on golf several years ago because i just didn't enjoy going out and STRUGGLING to break 100. Now, my 7 y/o son is golf-obsessed, so I've been creeping back into it. I love your gear and fitting videos and thought I would take a look at this one too as my miss has always been right, and I've never been able to draw the ball. I took this to the range this afternoon, and the difference was unbelieveable from basically the very first shot. I'm not turning pro any time soon, but at 42, I can honestly say that was probably the best and most consistent I've struck the golf ball in my life. It didn't cure every swing, but it definitely made a HUGE difference, and it was pretty cool to hear my son saying, "Oh my God, Dad. You hit that one so far!" You guys (and Andrew) pretty much made my day! This is something I'll definitely keep working on!

This series where you guys are playing opposite handed than your normal is great. The tip where you show how to roll the knuckles under made an instant improvement in my ballstriking. I have struggled my whole golfing life with an open face and this fixed it in minutes. THANK YOU! while I am not hitting Draws, I am hitting it dead straight now. Please continue this series with working the ball, Hi, Lo, left & Right. Love your show.

OMG i just tried this last night {closing club face on takeaway} at the driving range yesterday and it had unbelievable results . My ball speed went from 145 to 160mph i was carrying the ball about 220 before and a slice. I hit one last night 280 carry 🤷‍♂️👍👍👍😊😊, i would advise everybody that has a slice to give it a go. Not all my shots were great but i just kept at it SUPER video

Guys! Cannot thank you enough for this tip. This video had an enormous positive effect on my game. After working hard to get a nice subtle in to out swing path, I have battled and battled with an inability to get the club face closed and was hitting thin pushes. This video was so clear and concise and made so much sense to me that I was able to implement it on the course all most straight away and I haven’t seen such pure strike, high launch angles and nice shot shapes in months and months! Enjoyed golf today more than I have in so long. Amazing work!

Absolutely THE best video you guys have done in terms of knowledge around manipulating the club face to change the flight and shape of shot. Me and my mate have pieced together this view of using wrist angles correctly from several online sources but this video puts it across perfectly and reinforces our belief that we're getting a better more consistent swing and thus strike. Thankyou for a very informative video.

Just watched this for the first time yesterday and this is easily one of the best golf videos on the internet. I've watched a lot of them and after taking this tip to the driving range I am seeing my inconsistently struck high fade into a consistent draw. I've got to work on my timing a bit but this will completely change my game for the better once I lock my timing in. I imagine that the timing will be much easier now that I'm not cupping my wrist which was leading to a lot of wrist action at impact. Thank you so much, guys! I can't wait to take this out on the course.

This is a great tip for anyone who wants to fix their slice. I took a lesson last week and my coach told me the exact same thing. Wrist position of the lead arm in the take away and backswing determines your club face angle (open or close). fix that and you will fix the slice.

Described me to a T. Serial cut/slicer that has plateau'd as a 12 handicapper for last 5 years. I could hit a draw only by timing my wrists and hips on the downswing with unreliable success. Went to the range to try this out and it was night and day difference in ball flight. Now I just to need reps and hopefully I can begin to creep into the 70s next year. Thanks guys!

Very nice fellas!!! I started learning the how to bow my left wrist about 10 months ago and my game has improved greatly. It really does make it simple. Once you bow at the top then it’s all hips through the ball.
I do appreciate the tip on bowing your wrist as your take away. It can be difficult timing wise to do that at the top of your backswing.

The idea of "organize the club face early on" (6:50) is exactly what my instructor had my change in my last lesson! Worked like a charm!
I was a habitual slicer, then he adjusted my take way so I could go more in-side-out on my follow through, but after a while (a few months) my miss turned into a duck-hook or a push fade. He said I was manipulating the club face WAY too much, and organizing the club-face and setting it during my back swing, instead of trying to "flip" it at the right time drastically improved my consistency.

  • @glanemann
    @glanemann 3 года назад

Perfect timing for this video. I just had my clubs regripped with jumbo grips which are the proper grip size for my hands. And I had in my head to make sure to keep the wrist straight even more in as I remember seeing Dustin Johnson with his wrist being bent way in. And just by doing that and with the new grips, I was hitting draws 250+ yards. I never draw the ball but just keeping that wrist bent inward has definitely helped me to hit a draw. I hope in a few more weeks it will be nice enough outside to get out there on the course and see if I can replicate the hits I was making on the simulator.

I see a lot of people asking for the fade video, which I’m sure you will do at some point , but I think you guys should keep things in order with what YOU guys are working on in your swings. If the next thing you guys work on is path or sequencing then that should be the next video. It would give people trying to improve a plan on how they should go about correcting their mechanics. A lot of people don’t understand where to start when trying to change mechanics. Keep’en coming either way, appointment content.

Big issue for me is getting the follow through right, meaning i tend to hook the ball if I don’t follow through w hands high. Any thoughts on how to fix this?

This is similar to a self discovery that I made after my playing partners exploded on me on how open my face was though I had strengthen my grip. One difference (vs your instructions is that on my initial takeaway I have to take my hands straight back prior my wrist hinge (just after shaft parrallell to ground). This has allowed me to get the ball going straight (vs straight-slice or push-slice). For a draw, I simply move ball back a half-ball (and ensure my swing is inside-out, or simply closing my stance). I can't seem to draw with my driver though.

This is pretty funny, this was the swing change I did a couple days ago to fix my open face that started since I switched to jumbomax grips. Though my image going up is driving a motorcycle and wanting to accelerate.

On slow rounds where we wait on tee boxes... we do "contests". Par 3 driver is awesome nice slow controlled swing... can really poke it... and off-handed on open fairways... ridiculously out of whack....(I have no idea what to even do with my hands) you can learn a lot with both.

Haven’t seen the complete video yet. I’m on my lunch break at work but where would you apply lead tape to help with a draw on a driver? Thinking of trying this to help with my slice. Thanks guys.

Weetommy I have a Mizuno ST190. No adjustable weights to move around on it. But love the feel of the driver. I’m going to apply lead tape and take it to the range later today. Thanks.

I’ve recently started struggling with my longer irons. 4, 5, and 6 don’t have the gap they used to. No injuries I think. Launch is good. Not sure on ball speed. Just out of the blue and don’t fully notice it on the course, but the range tracer is saying otherwise.

I’ve been working on this wrist angle tip for a few weeks now. It doesn’t matter what my grip is (weak, neutral, strong) I can never get a bowed wrist at the top; even with the club face square or closed.
