I watch from Ireland, and if you don't have a a butter soda bread recipe published yes (Butter milk and baking soda bread), you should consider trying. I'm not from here, but I have to admit a good one from a good baker is a thing of beauty, and it's probably one of he easiest quick bread there is.

In the USA, we call that French Toast.

Although my recipe is eggless and doesn't use any eggs in the batter, it seems like the concept of the dish is similar to what's called "eggy bread" in the UK. This looks good, just seems like way too much effort. You can make it cheaper and easier. Would have a different taste of course
Butter some bread, toast in the skillet like you're fixing a grilled cheese. Put honey on it, turn a couple of more times and you have French toast
