To reset oil change light turn key to run position without starting the car ( press start button without pushing brake pedal), then push both the brake pedal and the gas pedal at the same time until the message on the dash says reset complete

Take off the filter, pull the dipstick open the oil fill cap first this where air flows and the oil will flow out more freely

I like hoe you put oil in the Filter too. You can't put as much oil in your as I can I my 2017 Focus as I can.fill mine totally up but it does make a difference when.you Start it up.

The oil drain plug torque spec is 22.5 pound feet

Mine does not have that light, but you should be able to reset it by turning your key to the run position without starting it, they push both the brake and gas pedal at the same time until the dash says reset complete

Hi, Doesn't your user manual recommend 5w 30 oil?
I am a bit confused as the dealer recommrnds 5w 20 but my manual reads 5w 30.

I recently changed my oil on the same model car you have and the manual said 4.1litres oil needed. I put exactly that and had to remove about .4 litres. Did that ever happen to you?

No that hasn’t happened to me. U want to make sure to let the vehicle run for a little bit after you put oil in it and have it parked on level ground to get an accurate reading. And if the oil level is a tad bit high I wouldn’t worry about it

How did you remove oil? In my experience if you over fill a little, just don't worry about it bc it will leak out / spill over / burn off and it isn't an issue.
