DAP AMP stuff from the hardware store, but any outdoor caulk that says it will work on glass and metal should be fine. AMP 9-oz White Paintable Advanced Sealant Caulk www.lowes.com/pd/DAP-AMP-9-oz-White-Paintable-Advanced-Sealant-Caulk/5013353195
So helpful! I fixed it!!!
Glad to hear!
check your ground straps
My alternator plug was integrated to the alternator on my 92 f150 5.0 . Hope this helps someone. I thought i was weak/crazy. Cheers
Of course no passenger side replacement. What a waste of time.
The factory cold air intake has many gaps and dams to prevent water from getting sucked into the engine. The airbox has a decent sized drain hole. Its not a pure cold air intake but it will keep intake temps lower. Taking off the airbox lid is not going to change much. The filter, inlet tubes and turbo are limited in volume and temperature is very important. The intake would be a short ram air intake with the lid off. The best upgrade would be a more efficient intercooler
Mine broke, so ive ordered parts to replace it. Thabks for the video on how to replace it!
Looks like the brakes are worn out.
You are not getting your views
I hadn’t noticed. Thanks
Correction your likes
This is my daughter's car and hers broke. As a widow I can't tell you how invaluable these youtube videos are! Saves me hundreds of dollars.Thank you so much.
Happy to hear that!
If the egr is set closed unless it gets a signal just keep the egr on just use the plug. You don't have to even use the block off plate. Save the $20.
Dont change it like this guy! Use 2 hands smh
Yes two hands makes it easier for sure
good video man ! thank you
Happy to help!
How long does this take start to finish ?
About half an hour
Can't believe he didn't douse them nasty brakes with cleaner. You have it opened up why not take a few minutes to clean them? In time they'll end up glazed over.
A very fine point right here
I couldn't work that dirty.
Great video. Only complaint is taking the clip off, could really see where you were prying it off from, but it made sense when you put it back on where it comes from. Thanks for a good video!
Yes it was hard to see that part. I finally got the harness off and I'm going to sand down that clip a bit just in case I ever have to do this again. There's no tension on that wire harness, don't know why its made so hard to get off.
Dear God thank you
He said “grab your dipstick”😂😂😂
It's been proven that unless you use other mods to increase hp, a cold air intake filter does nothing for the stock turbo motor in an Escape.
what size socket is that for the hub? doing my 84 i’m gonna assume they’re the same
That is a specialty socket, 4wd lug nut spindle socket Here is a link to one, if this link doesn’t work I will also put a link in the description a.co/d/2SAHhoI
@@hayseedautos thank you, i’ve read it is a 2 3/8 size socket, i’ve looked online at my local advance and they have one for around the same price i’ve found the videos you put out about you doing work on your truck and found them helpful. thank you once again
Happy to help!
That's not a cold air intake, looks more like a hot air intake. Heat from the engine will get into the airbox.
Doing the same thing this week
Hopefully this video helps you get it done
@@hayseedautos it did actually 👍🏼
Good video. What was your extent of paint prep? What kinda paint did you use and has it held up?
I wire brushed everything as best as I could. I used a mixture of rustoleum undercoating and enamel. I’m happy with how it’s held up so far 5 months later
helps alot thanks for showing the voltage meter in the truck at the end!
Happy to have helped!
Where is the fuel filter? Thank you so much for the excellent video!
From what I’ve seen online it is built into the fuel pump. I looked all over when I was changing this pump and did not see any in-line filters
Thank you so much!
Nice video. Have you noticed delayed engagement when going from park to drive or reverse to drive? My 2017 Expedition takes 2 to 3 seconds when I shift from park or reverse to drive. Kind of a pain in the butt, especially when going back and forth with a trailer.
Yes mine has always had a bit of a delay when shifting to reverse for sure, although I don’t think it’s quite as long as you are saying for mine, more like 1-maybe 2 tops. I can’t say I’ve noticed it when shifting from park to drive though
How many miles on your 2016 Expedition? Have you any major problems?
When I made this video a little over 100k. Now around 130k. It left me stranded once when the fuel pump quit
They rust out. I know mine did. I had salt buried in mine.
One of the joys of living in the rust belt
I'm having a hard time removing the dangling thing to get to the bulbs what can i use to get it off?
A flathead screwdriver and determination is what I used
@@hayseedautos I GOT IT OFF COME TO FIND OUT I WASN'T PRESSING THE RELEASE FLAP🤦🤦♂
@@hayseedautos and plus it appears my whole assembly needs replacing my model doesn't have brake bulb i think it's led type
Bummer
@@Bigcdt80 I have the same problem! No other options to replace? You just need to buy a new headlight?
Thank you! I never would have figured it out without this video. A. Stupidest wiper design ever. B. Worst instructions on the wiper blade box ever. She' all fixed now though!
Glad I could help!
Its not centered on the plastic cover. The new blade should stick out a little more than an inch. If you are able to look at the back of the plastic cover(which you should be able to), you will see exactly what I speak of
They change the OEM wiper in 2017 for the rear. If you have had a changed, his method may work on an aftermarket wiper. On some of the OEM this will break your wiper. If his method feels like you’re putting too much pressure then try this method. Lift the blade slightly off the glass grab the end of the wiper blade and pull like you’re trying to slide it out. You’ll be pulling to the right. You will hear a pop if it is an OEM blade. You can then after the pop, pried off like he shows . The OEM blade has a hook on the blade that requires you pulling it to the right to free it. You can also look this method up as a 2018 rear wiper blade installation for an escape. They should show you this method.
Were was the fuel filter at ?
My question, too
From what I’ve seen online it is built into the fuel pump
@@hayseedautos Do you know where the high pressure fuel sensor is located on a 2017 Ford Expedition EL Limited 4x4? I cannot locate it I see 4 sensors on the Fuel rail on the motor but not the part that is supposed to be the high pressure sensor
Not sure. It might be on the actual high pressure pump which is somewhere on top of the engine
Actually I’m pretty sure it is on the high pressure fuel pump which is on the driver side of the engine. But it might be a little different on a 2017 it looks like they might have made some sort of change it that area after 2016
Hello there 😅 no disrespect I know you should disconnect the negative cable first instead of the positive first 😮😅 just saying lol
Yes thanks for the heads up
Great video, thanks! Question: Why not LED upgrade? Faster response rate, less heat and great looking blinking action
Thanks for watching! It’s cheaper just to replace the bulbs and there is nothing wrong with the original equipment.
@@hayseedautos I meant LED bulb.
Still cheaper, and easier because this is what it’s set up for and you don’t have to mess with installing resistors. Not worth it to me
I have LED brake light version. All 3 LED lights are out from rainwater. Anyone have luck buying a non-ford housing? Can you send the website? Why would I buy the ford housing again if it is likely to fail and need to be replaced again?
I got a new entire assembly , working bulbs and all for $90 off ebay. My Mother's was cracked from an accident.
Thank you! $90 is the best price I have seen. I still have not ordered anything. If you still have the link, do you mind sharing? Thank you.
What’s the bolt size?
13mm
I've tried that on 2010 Focus and I've clean the hose because the leftover nozzle piece was still intact and by the time I installed the nozzle and connected together, it would not work.
Sorry to hear you had more trouble with yours
I need a separate video on how to remove the assembly. Mines all rusted on
The taillight assembly needs to be removed to change the bulbs, so the process of removing the assembly is shown in this video.
Don’t ever private or delete this video you’re the 🐐 GOAT ‼️🐐‼️🐐‼️🐐‼️‼️🐐
Appreciated, removed the small plastic part covering a nut, the nut got rusted and seized was trying to remove it….saved me lots of time and effort.
Glad to hear I could help
This was an immaculate video. It gave me every piece of information I needed down to the optional decisions. Very well done!
Happy to help! Thanks for watching!
a part of me misses the happy birthday but i love the new tunes!!
😂👏🏼👏🏼Congratulations!!!
Thanks!
**your name comes out in the Epstein list** NOT LIKE THIS
Lol
Where do you get to delete kit?
eBay, but the listings have since been removed and I haven’t been able to find them anywhere else.
When you put the camera down, l lost all visibility
Yeah I need to improve my camera skills
So when I rotate the little black peice to make the nozzle stay on it still slips put you think it's the black peice that's broken?
Make sure you get the hose pushed on all the way. If it doesn’t stay on then something must be broken and if you just bought the spray nozzles then it might be the connector part on the hose
@@hayseedautos ok thank you
