Thanks for putting out such high quality videos, I’m looking for a new looper pedal now so I’m really happy to be able to see so many great videos about it on your channel.
I played in bands, currently in a duo, currently prepping to go solo. Less than two weeks ago I tried the RC-5 and found it incredible. Quickly learned there's a two track looper and got the RC500 as well. Again looked and found the RC 600. It was on my doorstep when I got home today and I'll be returning the other two. I have very little looping experience. Just found out it has connections for CTL 1-2, 3-4, so I'm ordering a second FS-7. I KNOW I most likely went way over board but frankly couldn't care less. I figured I'll probably use some of it a lot and other parts not so much. I do use different instruments to perform, so you answered my question. Thank you for covering basics I'm pretty much at ground zero with loopers, I get a little crazy with musical merchandise at times but have yet to regret any of it.
This is a great question! But, is it just me, or are we all anticipating Boss’s announcement of the updated RC300 + RC505?? I’m a long time RC300 user with an extensive setup and I have been holding out eagerly for an updated looper. I now have an RC500 on order for smaller gigs, but I am SURE there will be a new version of the RC300 in the coming months.
Have any of you compared the sound of the Boss RC-3 and RC-5 loopers directly? I have the RC-3 at home and its sound is darkened, it cuts off the high frequencies, so if you want to record some subtle electronics (ambient etc.) on it, the loss of quality is too big for me. Does the RC-5 behave better, i.e. reflect the sound of the instrument more faithfully?
Hey brother, really love your work! I have a Line6 Helix LT, Boss RC-505, Novation Launchkey, and 10channel Yamaha MG10XU that I want to hook together in the best way possible - they all have MIDI in/out (except the Launchkey only has midi out), but I'm completely new to Midi. What would you recommend? I'm looking for the most full-featured / versatile setup for multiple instruments (1/4" for guitars/cello, XLR for mic, and Novation Launchkey for keyboard / midi triggers). I also have a Mac running Ableton Live Lite and Logic Pro X FWIW. I'm happy to try and learn their looping features if you think it's the best way to go..
Great vid. Love the idea of the verse/verse/chorus/chorus/bridge tracks, but how do you get them to start at the beginning of the loop when you select them? Unless you have loop sync off (dangerous?), I can't seem to find the way. Gruß aus Deutschland!
as rc505 is the flagship, i would like to have from Boss a future update of the Rythm section like the new rc500 or rc10r (intro / fills/ endings) + the ability to sequence tracks ... or wait for a new updated flagship pedalboard version of the rc505 with all these features + more outputs possibilities

I just purchased the Boss RC-5 ( using it with the FS-6 controller ) - loving it . . . so far.

So you decided to stick with the rc505 instead of the headrush? I'm pretty interested in the Aeros myself atm

Hey friend do you have a link to your music?
Thanks for the vids.

I second your motion....

Can I use a RC-5 synced to a RC-500 to have the same track capacicty as a RC-300?
This is something I will be trying out. No reason why not. Since they both support MIDI! Keep a look out for that video soon!!
Can the RC-500 or RC-5 sync to drum machines and synths as master or slave MIDI? MIDI sync is a MUST for me.
Ben, did you ditch the Headrush? I was thinking you'd favor that over the 505. Great vid as usual mate.
Apparently white powders in action here!
