I love how you said I promise my food will taste good. I can attest to that. It’s gotten to where my family will be skeptical about a recipe that I’m trying and I’ll tell them, “it’s a Christine recipe” and suddenly they are on board with whatever it is because so many of your recipes have become family staples.

Agree she’s not lazy just normal successful household i.e. gets caught up in other easier things or just other priorities etc.
I do think sometimes this feeling of thinking this isn’t the ‘norm’ comes from overall lifestyle. I grew up among a lot of upper middle class families most were 2 income ...overall with busy/full well scheduled lives. My husband grew up in poverty amid a lot of dysfunction and its taken him a long time to learn the rhythms so to speak of how a successful household runs!

Honestly I love doing pantry clear outs! It’s like a chopped challenge, and I feel so satisfied not wasting anything and coming up with new recipes!

Fruit grows everywhere in California, too, and no one wants it! My friend let me harvest her sour cherries from her back yard, and I gave her some jam in return! She loved it!
I live in SoCal and when I am out running in my neighborhood I see so many fruit trees with the fruit rotting. I want to ask one house if I can harvest their apricots.
@@Sterling8953 just do it! It feels awkward but it'll be worth it when they say yes. Clean up around the tree a little and they'll probably ask you to come back!!

I have never in my life had that kind of energy. It's a good watch.
I watch all my videos on 1.5 or 2 speed, so I'm sure I would be surprised if I ever met these people in person, because they all seem so incredibly energetic.

i was 20 years and pre onset of fibromyalgia. i so miss having this kind of energy. good thing I'm down to the last 2 kids...one teenager and one almost there. these two are definitely getting more education in cooking than the others. they do 50% of the cooking now. my 16 yr old is gonna make some woman very happy.... he already knows how to make breads, muffins, cookies, pizza crust. he is a born vegetarian so he does the veggies for the family.

It’s the Costco container of garlic for me! It’s terrible almost every time! It’s so bad!
Same. I had to use the wrench to get it off last time.
I use an oven mitt that has the rubberized coating. Works like a charm!
that's the biggest thing ppl just don't get when baking. the humidity is a huge factor! we live in central kansas so the humidity varies by the hour. making noodles omg...sometimes....

It seems whenever I'm faced with making dinner from odds and ends, it somehow turns out to be something everyone loves. Thanks for the ideas - I have a bunch of elbow mac too. 🤣
That happens to me so often! I'll be telling my husband I have to make him something random and it's always his favorite lol!

I can so relate on getting “home improvement” companies to call back🙄 FINALLY got our yard done after being on the wait list for 10 weeks. The workers were telling me that because most aren’t traveling, they’re spending the money on home improvements. Oh well, I’m glad they’re businesses are thriving!
A tip, when you pour items from bags and boxes into containers, use the left overs from the bags and boxes first so you can get rid of them faster.

Frozen bananas have been turning into “nice cream” this summer during the heat!
I love that and I add a little peanut butter to it - super yummy
I keep aluminum foil in the bottom of my oven for the inevitable spills. Plus that time my husband got parchment paper and wax paper mixed up, smelled horrid lol

When I used to eat out a lot I'd occasionally get the Hawaiian pizza at Papa Johns. Not something I ate all the time, but when I was hungry for it I was really hungry for it. Pineapple is great. Pizza is great. They're great together.

I was at an Italian restaurant in Germany last Wednesday and I tried a pizza 🍕 that was on the menu: it had pineapple 🍍& nuts. 😂 They used walnuts and pistachios. It was delicious. ♥

I never had grits so IDK but my childhood equivalent of the sweet version would be rice for breakfast witch is white rice butter and sugar
These sour cherries are my favourite in hot days. Put in a bowl. Thaw for a couple of minutes and enjoy!

For your cabinets, try a collision shop, they can paint you cabinet doors and bake them. You can paint the cabnets with two coats, and add the additive that doesn't show the streaks.
