I'm a kiwi. And I remember seeing a RAAF one at a New Zealand air show when I was five. I remember thinking it was so cool. So it is very special to me because it's the first jet I ever saw. Great video (as always).
Bit of Robert McNamara related trivia: The F-111 isn't the only creation of his to be closely associated with Australia, he was also responsible for the Ford Falcon.
Absolutely love this beautiful aircraft .( profile pic obviously) Nothing is like this aircraft and never will be, just like the Warthog. The usaf replaced it with 2 aircraft, might as well as use one. Im happy that this plane is loved and it can still be flown in flight sims. Btw nice review, just wish that the aircraft in fsx didn't cost so much ,like the FA-18E/F in VRS SuperBug which cost $44.99 (or something like that).
The flag is actually the right way around. It's meant to look like it's "flying" on a pole: www.adf-gallery.com.au/gallery/albums/F-111-A8-138/JB_3A8_138R.jpg
Doing over Mach 2.2 at sea level & shooting up to FL800 in 30s is not realistic at all! That questions if Virtavia's flight dynamics are accurate in other areas of the flight envelope. IMHO the outside textures are terrible, the VC is very good though!

Awesome review, and loved the little history lesson! Also neat to hear you're close to Amberley!

Does this have a shared cockpit? Would be pretty nifty having a WSO on the side!
n8d0g Yes the cockpit is shareable, though I have not done extensive testing so I cannot confirm the impact it may have on Packets
Cheers mate!
The F-14 has the dump pipe between the burners, too. NATOPS for the 14 also banned dump and burns, because the American military hates fun.
I did not know that! I think the Australians were the only ones crazy enough to allow it!
Because of this vid, Im Intrested!!!! YES INDEED!!! Beatiful aircraft my friend!!! DEF!!!
Great review Novawing. Backwards flag... Oops :P

The dump and burn doesnt work for me :(
If you are trying to use it in P3D it has issues due to sim changes between the old FSX engine and the updated P3Dv4+ engine.
@@Novawing24 i'm playing on fsx steam edition

Jon Doe It is quite possible I did not have crash/stress damage enabled during this video!
