Thank you for drill and two point contact? on neck of violin. Like with the colle or finger development if right hand, this will also be a work in progress. It will give me a more defined and focused practice and an end goal. I appreciate how you divide up the various aspects using the pedagogy you have acquired. So generous to share your wonderful ability to teach.

Another wonderful video. Similar to our last lesson. I am completely inundated with everything, totally immersed. Rather than watching these videos, I should be practising, but since it is 11:30PM, I have an excuse :)

I have studied with great teachers, conductor and players, use to be a principal violists of several professional orchestras and chamber groups. SIMPLE DOUBLE STOPS FIRST ALWAYS! Not scales or anything else. SIMPLE DOUBLE STOPS!!!!! The octave double stops and unison doubles stops and then scales in double stops. Then move on to more advanced double stops. Without doing this FIRST, there is little chance you will play anything else in tune; especially scales and melodies. Also, one must learn that fingers should be in different positions when playing in different keys and with different tonalities. Example - first finger on the G string (viola) should not be in the exact same position across from it on the D string when playing a G major scale. First finger A on the D string would be slightly higher. One should learn in great detail, the whole concept of the Perfect Fifths intonation. Sixths are slightly larger in perfect intonation.

Another great lesson on string crossing!! You have so much knowledge to share, and I am learning from you! I like watching my bowing in the mirror, then correcting myself. Oh, by the way, if I buy your pretty pink lip stick......will that magically make me bow better? 😉🎻❤️

Thanks for the video, I am beginner but I think if you force your hand into a shape such as having second finger with one step gap it makes your fingers less flexible and more tense.
Also I've heard from my instructor and others that first finger across the strings in first position is not in a horizontal line.
