I love the OG car. I'd say this is my 2nd favorite build on the channel. My #1 favorite build on the channel was the Redfire Terminator but the OG car right up there with it. Can't wait to see more of this car.

I ended up having a clearance my quick time bell housing the fork was rubbing against it when you depressed the clutch and it had a funny feeling in the pedal took me a while to figure out what was going on I found out the hard way on that also

I definitely needed an adjustable pivot ball with my foxbody 347 magnum setup. It chewed up 2 throwout bearings and shifted like crap over a quarter inch of adjustment. Shifts beautiful now.

@@MustangLifestyleTV I used a McLeod single disc but I think the chance of it being spot on without touching it is a long shot. I heard you say it felt like there wasn’t enough throw. If that’s the case the pivot ball has to go in. It’s set from tremec at 1.5 inches. It ended up being 1.25 inches. A quarter inch made a huge difference at the pedal. It felt like there wasn’t enough clutch which is actually what’s going on. It’s not releasing the clutch enough if it’s not right so the pivot ball has to go in.

@Mustanglifestyle had a quick question about the Mantic experience I’m on a RXT1200 now T-56 and wanted to know your thoughts between Mantic and Vengeance.
That's one hell of a killer set up. Here's the real burning question though.....when are you taking the Cobra badges off the OG car? It's for my mental health :D
Honestly it was one of the first things I was going to do but I don’t know what to replace it with. I don’t want a GT badge because it’s ugly. The pony is meh and I don’t want no badge because of the hole.

It's stout man it can easily handle 700+. They rate them conservative. You could prob push 800-900+ and still be ok in all but the most abused cars. This is all assuming you can drive bad drivers can destroy transmissions either way.
I found out the hard way about the reverse lockout in mine but I can't believe a guy with your knowledge put that transmission in with the stock shifter I run a silver sport transmission shifter in mine it's like night and day it transformed the Magnum into a super Magnum
I liked the stock shifter when I drove the yellow cobra.

Have an 01 Corba. Had anT3650 trans. Installing New Magnum TKX 6 speed, installed 373 gears in my IRS. Do you know the drive shaft length. Where I got my Trans from he wants me to get a measurement.

I think this build is so cool but why not address the rust and body issues first? To each it’s own but if this was my first Mustang I would build it to last forever 🤷🏽♂️
They can fix that later the driveline is more important than appearance.
@@midnight347 I was referring to the rust on the underbody and not the rearend which is obviously being replaced.
I have the choice of doing major ground up restoration which I don’t have the budget, time, or patience for right now or I can put the car together and enjoy it and worry about it later when budget, space, and time will allow for chassis up restoration
Being in florida it won’t really get worse. In florida terms it’s a rust bucket but for an up north car it’s not bad at all
