Danny’s appearance in Luke Cage was the first time I saw the character and thought, “That. That’s Danny Rand. That’s the Iron Fist.” The zen chill bro that is constantly snacking, wanting to help people, and annoyingly teaching everyone he comes across about zen teachings when nobody asked. It shows that he totally could have been a great Iron Fist, but never really got the chance.
The exact same problem that made people blame Andrew Garfield for the failure of the Amazing Spider-Man films. Then, No Way Home came up and showed everyone Garfield can be just as scene-stealing as Maguire, if given the right script and directing.
I will agree 100% that Finn Jones has natural charisma - in the scenes where they let Danny be chill Danny: The beginning of ep1, the restaurant scene in "Defenders", his appearance in "Luke Cage" and his last two scenes of "Iron Fist S2." He's charming as hell, but instead they mostly wrote Danny to be some angry, undisciplined man-child who had trouble summoning his chi. (which was never not funny in a "he couldn't get it up" kinda way, which is never good for your hero)
I think Finn Jones a decent actor, but Danny Rand just isn't the right character to be Iron Fist. The truth is Iron Fist is about Asian Americans in NYC and their culture a voice, just like Luke Cage gives Harlem a voice, and so for the Iron Fist to be the typical rich white boy savior who gets the mystical Asian powers while all the people who have thousands of years of history don't is just not going to cut it, that is why Lin Lie or an entirely new Asian Iron Fist is the way to go. Davos was actually cool though but season 2 ruined him even more.
@@ghostbravo7127 If you're going to go that route, then Iron Fist should actually represent "all the people who have thousands of years of history" and shouldn't be American at all, let alone from NYC.
@@BenChanNYC Lin Lie is not from NYC, Lin Lie is the Iron Fist born in Shanghai he travels throughout Asia as a descendant of Fu Xi with his sword and eventually after many battles and a lot of training he finally comes to the test to become the Iron Fist. He eventually ends up in NYC but he operates across Asia and spends most of his life there. They are going to do Agents of Atlas so it only makes sense to bring in Lin Lie.

Definitely with you on liking IF more than everyone else, I got the show. I really liked Ward, he was very interesting and well played. Entrenched fandoms can be so toxic over literally nothing. I stand with Finn!
Yes, like sure I wasn't around when they first aired so I got to go in with a fresh mind the people maybe didn't have then, but I really enjoyed my time with IF, it really doesn't deserve all the unnecessary hate it gets
@Paraone Ngatai I really dug IF season 1; but after all the complaining and when I started season 2 where Danny halts down the baddies truck, they actually stop, and then derp, he's got nothing until they start the truck again and try to run him over; I was all: "oh, damn, the writings over; it's going to be Punisher dumb" and gave up on it.
I just really hope we get to see more from Colleen. She was the best part of the Iron Fist series and the fact that the actress loves the role and wants to do more makes me all the more hopeful. Great video as always! Much respect.
Thank you for the first 6.5 minutes. I didn't think Iron Fist was perfect, but I thought you broke down the core of the story really well - and Finn Jones' interview in particular, breaking down the transitional arc of his character, shows more depth than most viewers give the show credit for.
People usually just talk about Daredevil and Punisher (barely according to lack RUclips videos on it) and leave out Luke Cage and Iron Fist along with Jessica Jones and that’s honestly disrespectful to the highest, yes some are better than others but those shows need breakdowns as well, they’re worth it and more, the characters are all colorful and interesting So thank you for representing
I actually kinda think the childish anger makes sense for Danny. He’s kinda stuck in his ten year old self and sorta acts like one. And after all that bs he went through, you wouldn’t really expect him to be emotionally stable. Problem is it really clashes with his chill, zen master demeanor. The writers also used it to get him to fight whoever they wanted when he’s supposed to be chill and naive. I would’ve liked it more if they used it more like the comics or more like norse kratos/Matt. Using anger as strength instead of letting it control you. Something I’d expect the monks to teach him (which I’m pretty sure they did). But they really missed an opportunity of him covering his face (like the comic) since he’s very recognizable. And yes, they missed an even bigger opportunity not having Matt or at least showing Foggy defending Luke.
A question for you and everyone else who sees this: Do you want the Netflix Marvel shows to come back on Disney +? My initial response when I first saw Matt in No Way Home was "HELL YEAH DAREDEVIL SEASON 4! GIVE IT TO ME NOW NOW NOW NOW!!!" But the more I think about it, the less I want it. I just can't see them doing those shows justice on Disney +.
They were never going to do a season 4 because it's not MCU canon. Plus it's been stated that the MCU is at the beginning stages of working on Daredevil season 1 for Disney+
Loved them ALL (even Iron Fist_ bring 'em ALL back. The Iron Fist supporting actors were great. I agree the character was unreasonably angry and innocent; equally. By the end, I wanted to see the next story finding the previous Iron Fist ...Randall. Plus, after all the strife, he just hands over the "mantle" to his ex-girlfriend (which I HATE). I liked 65% of the whole.
Luke Cage’s second season will always be tied with Daredevil as the best Netflix Marvel has to offer. Great villains, a solid soundtrack, pretty good fights, and a pretty good take on race for a superhero show
@Rizzo 215iron fist was received the worst with luke cage not far behind. jessica jones s1 was good but the rest werent. i liked all the shows but if we’re talking from a majority view, it went daredevil punisher jessica jokes luke cage and iron fist
I found Iron Fist S1 okay, but LOVED Colleen. I actually really had a blast with S2 and was devasted when it was cancelled given the cliffhanger. Same with Luke Cage.
I keep forgetting you're a smaller RUclipsr. Don't get discouraged over a video not being popular. If you pick a topic you're passionate about others will naturally be attracted to it too. I really love your content, even your Punisher video, absolutely loved it. Keep doing what you're doing. I look forward seeing your channel grow!
Iron Fist and Luke cage S2 were huge improvements and I really hope we see Mary Walker again (who was rumored to show up in DD season 4). Like you mentioned, I think the retcons will happen with whomever was snapped. Already in Hawkeye it could take shape as matt murdock got snapped allowing FIsk to get out of jail and rebuild his empire. I do hope everyone is eventually brought back in a way that works well and doesn't completely negate what came before. Heroes for Hire and/or a Daughters of the Dragon show would be tight af.
I love this video. This was great. I want to say that I currently have watched about 63% of the Marvel/Netflix Universe with The Punisher show included. You have given a different dynamic and now I want to go back and watch them altogether! There are so many pieces I missed, but this video inspires me to rewatch again for n it’s entirety.
He's recently stated in an interview that the opportunity to play as Luke cage is kind of in the "rearview mirror" and he's sort of ready to pass on the mantle/role, but probably not shut off the idea itself.
My best guess is it's because it was not a Disney series and people have short attention spans/memories. Seeing as Netflix Marvel stuff is basically done, there's nothing keeping the characters out there for people to take further notice of. No movies, no episodes they can watch along with whatever Disney's new flavor of the month show is, etc. Which is sad since Daredevil and Luke Cage where both so well done and I think we'd all love to see more of this section of the MCU.
@@mandodelorian4668 its not that. people were annoyed with the show cause they felt that the show was unoriginal, it was slow, some people thought Danny was dumb, and had terrible fight scenes.
@@Patrick-pc3vq I wasn't talking about the cancellation of the show, I was talking about how iron fist was received. I got the information from rotten tomatoes, I mean I'm not sure id believe the scores on rotten tomatoes, but it can be a good aggregate of how people feel about the show. There was a lot of critics complaining that the show was was slow and unoriginal, a few complaining about Danny being dumb for some reason or another, and some people complaining the fight scenes weren't great. I think I even remember people complaining they though Danny was entitled. You are right it wasn't canceled for those reasons, but I wasn't talking about that. Also I realize now they weren't talking about iron fist, but I sometimes watch RUclips half asleep and my brain isn't working on all cylinders. That being said, a common complaint across all the shows is they can be a little slow and the fight scenes aren't great( except for daredevil). personally I'm fine with slow burns( if they are entertaining enough and not super super long) and I've enjoyed what I've seen so far of the Netflix mcu( I've only seen up to defenders).
Danny Rand's character arc Ironfist season 1 Starts out as a somewhat angry and impetuous kid, trying to find himself , solve the mystery of what truly happened with his parents , and find himself. Defenders Reveals himself to be more mature, centered, and comfortable with his role as the Ironfist Ironsfist season s We find Danny more angry, impetuous, and un-centered than ever, leading to him being trained in martial arts by a woman who he easily defeated in season 1. Makes sense.

I can honestly say I really enjoyed watching every season of every marvel netflix show. they all felt really distinct and unique. also the casting is just incredible
I loved Luke Cage and I knew no one would appreciate it at the time tbh, but maybe just maybe it will get some respect and love. Iron Fist season 2 is the only season I resonate with personally. Luke Cage I loved both seasons.
When Iron Fist got cancelled, I was okay with it but all the air in my lungs left when I heard Luke Cage got cancelled. I understand that Iron Fist had a lot against it but…I really hated the show.
@@ItsMeBarnaby I never watched season two. I hated the show that much. That said, I hope everyone involved had been able to go on to other jobs. I know Michael Coulter has.
All his scenes with Luke in Luke cage season 2 made me really like Danny and their dynamic, it’s criminal we didn’t get a hero’s for hire show or at least end Luke cage season 2 with him and Danny starting that group
As much as I didn't like the casting at first, now I kinda feel bad for Finn Jones (esp after that clip in the beginning, gross). Irl he's so much more like Danny Rand that I can see why they cast him, but it barely shows at all on screen. I think the difference is that now I'm starting to understand that a lot of the times when an actor underperforms its bc of the director, and this was a prime example.
I was very happy with the approach in Iron Fist. I felt he shouldn't start out on third base halfway to home. It was good that he was young and immature coming to America and learning stuff the hard way. I was looking forward to seeing him slowly mature and become less rash. The only thing I disagree with is giving him only 3 weeks to learn martial arts and then not letting him wear a mask so they could substitute in a qualified stuntman like they did for Daredevil. That was dumb dumb dumb dumb.
Honestly, out of all of these shows, I want Iron Fist to come back the most. It had the most untapped potential out of all of them. And deserved redemption. AND THAT CLIFFHANGER! *GUN FU!!!*
i was for sure the few who loved iron fist and the striy if a lost child trying to find his purpose and the love story between him and coling but upon learning why no one liked fin jones it was a bit more understanding
Finn Jones apologist!! But really, Iron Fist is one of my favorite characters. Even though he's a product of cheesy 70s Kung fu films, I always found Iron Fist interesting. I had unrealistic expectations, I think we all did. Maybe Iron fist would be best used in small doses, like a co or supporting character. Can't wait for Heros for hire on D+... its happening...eventually
Then go work at Marvel Studio and make Marvel's Heroes for Hire and bring both Finn Jones and Mike Colter back, give them to shine and give them justice.
I enjoyed watching these shows. The directions and themes they went into were interesting. I do love both seasons of Luke Cage and the second season of Iron Fist I enjoyed very much. Excellent video
Luke Cage was soo Underrated, S1 was fun enjoyble S2 was Great. Iron Fist was okay for S1 but S2 was wayy better, Finn Jones is an okay iron fist but he was Awesome in Luke Cage S2 Episode 10 I do hope he comes back with Mike Colter we need a heroes for hire show
Season 2 of Iron Fist ended on such a strong note that I was hoping Season 3 would be even better but alas..... Luke Cage cancellation really pissed me off like wtf how can you end like that! oh well cheers to you for these videos
Although its too late, thank you for putting Iron Fists short comings into perspective and admitting you liked it! I liked it too and didnt get all the hate.
I thought this would be 30minutes of you shitting on Iron Fist, but thank you for seeing the bright side of it. I have a serious soft spot for both Finn Jones and Iron Fist. Plus, I'd rather any of the Netflix Marvel shows than having to sit through TFATWS or Hawkeye again.
I personally find it heartbreaking to see Iron Fist really grow into its own, and really get me excited for what's coming next. Then, cancelled. Apart from Daredevil and Iron Fist, the rest of the Netflix Marvel shows got a little tiring, been there done that. Daredevil stayed consistently awesome, Iron Fist showed serious promise. The rest started off stronger than they ended.
This video made me realize maybe I never watched season 2 of Iron Fist? Weird. I hope Marvel can bring in some of the best parts/actors into the MCU. Great video!
It's such a shame that Finn Jones didn't get to do more with Iron Fist hence all the Marvel-Netflix BS that they him through. Thanks Jeph Loeb and Scott Buck... I really like Danny Rand, when they write him in a positive light. Danny's a fun character when they actually let Finn Jones' charisma shine and not make him an "out-of-nowhere angry, whiny man". Sure, the show is bad (mainly S1), but afterwards, I felt as if they were genuinely trying to make him a good character. I still say, to this day, and will properly defend, that the best representation of Iron Fist/Danny is in Luke Cage S2 episode 10. However, knowing the "political controversy minefield" that is our nerd culture social media that we live today. I'd highly doubt the love for Finn Jones' return to the MCU is wanted at all, and if so, is niche at best, compared to Charile Cox or Vincent D'onofrio. Even back in the day when Iron Fist was coming out, the whole "White Savior/Whitewashing/Asian Culture Appropriation" controversy was prevalent then, it wouldn't be as different now, but now even more intense knowing the rabid fandom. This also doesn't help that the series is objectively not great in the eyes of the fandom. Knowing Disney-Marvel's PR strategy, they'll definitely take the easy route and either recast a new actor, most likely an Asian Iron Fist or bring back Jessica Henwick as Woman Iron Fist. Either way they choose, this will score even more brownie points than they already have (this is coming from person that the "Cool Kids" on the internet would call: " A Woke SJW"). I'm all for that don't get me wrong, but if it means sacrificing a good character with great comic stories and a good actor when given the right material to work with. Then it be a unfortunate waste... To use a funny racing metaphor, Jones/Danny is a good racer car driver, all he needs is the right car and a reliable pit crew to help him win the metaphorical race. If I were Kevin Fiege, I would take a big risk with Finn Jones/Danny Rand and bring him to the MCU. I'd make Danny a secondary main character in Shang Chi 2, equal footing with Simu Liu, casting-wise where nobody is superior to the other and are equally strong together and on their own. Have the story in the sequel involve K'un-Lun, as the two martial artists team-up and fight against Davos/Steel Serpent and the Immortal Weapons (I'd love to see the weapons be casted in live action). As they've teamed up before in the comics, notably in DEADLY HANDS OF KUNG FU OMNIBUS (VOL. 1). Shang and Danny's dynamic could be these two brothers-in-kung fu arms. Sharing a friendly rivalry, while Danny can be this chill little brother to Shang. Their friendship could carry strong positive/heathy masculinity through their supportive brotherly relationship. All this can be a winning formula for Jones' IF return imo. All they have to do is: 1.) Hard/soft reboot all the negatives aspects from Netflix-Marvel IF S1, while keeping all the good parts (as stated in this video). 2.) Give Finn Jones all the resources, the actual time and training to learn martial arts choreography (maybe bulk him up, however imo, I find his skinny-lean fit appearance to be fitting for someone like Jones. Maybe give him the Robert Pattinson-Batman bod), 3.) Ignore all the political controversy from social media and just rely on the actor's charisma to carry the performance and PR. Have all social media marketing for Jones be him training martial arts choreography, doing all his stunts, working out, and him doing press junkets being "Charismatic Finn Jones" anyways, the internet has short-term memory and will forget this afterwards. Moving on to the next controversy (the exact thing happened with Tilda Swinton and the Ancient One being whitewashed. Now, the Ancient One is beloved character). 4.) WRITE HIM BETTER! (but not as the butt-of-the-joke for the expense of the IF-hate crowd) and just make Iron Fist a good character overall. It worked for Andrew Garfield. Majority disliked the TASM movies and his version of Spiderman/Peter Parker until No Way Home made him now universally loved. This positive reception even clamored for a TASM 3 revival on social media. So if it worked for him, it can work for Finn Jones, if they are willing to gamble on it and put a lot of effort into, which I believe is worth putting.
Of all the Netflix marvel shows, the one I would have been most interested to see another season was Luke cage. The angle they were gonna take with that seems to be very unique. Daredevil of course would have been great, but season 3 was a great conclusion
I didnt 'hate' Iron Fist though it was frustrating and those problems leaked into the writing of Defenders (A lot of rich lawyers having meetings) but the failures of Iron Fist and the poor pacing of Luke Cage were lessons learned, boiling down 13 episode seasons into a more manageable 6-8 episodes
I think if Marvel is bringing everyone from Netflix back so Daredevil, Punisher Jessica Jones, Iron Fist and Luke Cage, then it would be better if Iron Fist and Luke Cage get combined into one show called Heroes for Hire. Those two have a beautiful friendship that I wanna see explored on its own show and they can add Misty and Colleen. That episode of Luke Cage where Danny appears showed the potential that these two have.
I have always been a huge fan of Luke Cage and agree wholeheartedly with this assessment of the Netflix shows. There were a fair few mistakes and bad decisions made in Marvel's television division at the time, but both shows had promise and were heading in interesting directions when they were cancelled. I doubt we'll see Finn Jones in the MCU, but I hope they keep Mike Colter and I very much want Jessica Henwick to come back as Coleen Wing (maybe in a Shang-Chi sequel?). Marvel may not be able to get Colter back or they may not want to put his Luke Cage in a universe with Mahershala Ali as Blade, but if people can get over Chris Evans being in F4, they can get over Blade looking a lot like Cottonmouth. Regardless, I thought the Netflix shows were largely under appreciated and I hope these characters get more love from Feige and Co.
If they ever plan on bringing back Iron Fist in the MCU they should make the person in charge of the character is the person reponsible for Shang-Chi. I feel like the style and charm of Shang-Chi could fit an Iron Fist story.
I think both luke cage and IRON FIST, yes I said that right. Were both amazing shows. I never once thought of finn Jones portrayal of iron fist as whiney or anything on those lines. I feel like if he does whine about something it's completely justified to his situation. I can pretty confidently say that all the Netflix marvel shows had fantastic writing/story and the main, supporting cast were fantastic as well. Comparing any of the marvel Netflix shows to the majority of recent marvel disney + shows especially in terms of the writing/script is just a unfair match in my opinion. But than again people tend to enjoy terribly written shows/films nowadays...
Hot take Moon knight and iron fist have a few similarities When it comes to how DID was approached What’s happening with Marc keeps reminding me of Mary Walker from iron fist I guess maybe her DID situation could have been like a test run for moon knight Cuz Mary also had the sweet innocent side The protector side And the darkest side Seems like Marc is the same Thoughts implicitly pretentious
Mary doesn't have DID, she most likely has some sort of CPTSD, but DID is a failure of personality integration and only develops in early childhood. I do agree that the portrayal of her mental illness could have helped pave the way for Moon Knight and while I don't think either of them did a very good job of it, and they glamorised it a bit too much, they are both great characters and a massive leap forward from most previous portrayals in media.
@@kotarojujo2737 Shang Chi doesn’t have any science or magic based powers in the comics or movies. He is just a regular skilled martial artist who manipulates chi
I think Iron Fist would have been a success if they hired someone who actually practiced ANY martial art, instead we got a person who acted like he knew martial arts and failed, miserably. Every time Finn started moving in a fight scene you can tell that he never spent a second practicing. Jessica Henwick only learned martial arts on the set, yet she looks natural in her fight scenes, imo Jessica should take over the role of Iron Fist wherever the character is placed in the MCU.
Well since Charlie Cox is back as Matt Murdock aka Daredevil and there are rumors that Mike Colter will be back as Luke Cage in She-Hulk, hopefully Finn Jones can come back as Iron Fist and redeem himself and the character

They really tried to make great stories about these characters and its kind suck every timensomeone tries to make something diferent and out of box it usually ends without a conclusion. I love Netflix Defenders shows and i miss them.
The way I see improving IF season 1 would be for 1) shorten the story arc of him reclaiming his name, 2) let Finn Jones be charismatic and charming, 3) let Danny’s reason for leaving kun lun be to pursue the hand in his company, NOT because he decides the iron fist isn’t what he wants (this can still be a secondary reason, but it should not be his main reason), 4) let Danny actually use the iron fist at will, don’t make him struggle to use it. Those 4 improvements would really elevate the show imo. I very much like the show still as it is, but those aspects seem to be what holds it back. And this is proven by the fact that season 2 helped alleviate a bunch of those issues, and heading into season 3 it seemed like it was only going to get better.

Definitely with you on liking IF more than everyone else, I got the show. I really liked Ward, he was very interesting and well played. Entrenched fandoms can be so toxic over literally nothing.
I stand with Finn!
100% agreed
I was so gutted when Luke Cage was canned. I was excited to see where they’d take Luke as a crime lord and Nightshade as his rival. It had potential.
that intro was beautiful oh my god
People usually just talk about Daredevil and Punisher (barely according to lack RUclips videos on it) and leave out Luke Cage and Iron Fist along with Jessica Jones and that’s honestly disrespectful to the highest, yes some are better than others but those shows need breakdowns as well, they’re worth it and more, the characters are all colorful and interesting
So thank you for representing
30 minutes of diving into shows that were wildly underappreciated ??? What more could we ask for
The pistols at the end of Iron Fist were the best part of the show to me. Full Orson Randall moment.
They are allowing tv ma content on it so it could happen.
@@Fourmath they said that it's canon up to season 2 not 3
@@nicholasflame_4796 not Kevin Feige and Marvel Studios
Luke Cage’s second season will always be tied with Daredevil as the best Netflix Marvel has to offer. Great villains, a solid soundtrack, pretty good fights, and a pretty good take on race for a superhero show
Nah
Daredevil
Jessica Jones S1
Luke Cage
punisher over luke cage easily
I agree with you. Bushmaster was probably the second best Netflix/Marvel hero after Kingpin
@Rizzo 215iron fist was received the worst with luke cage not far behind. jessica jones s1 was good but the rest werent. i liked all the shows but if we’re talking from a majority view, it went daredevil punisher jessica jokes luke cage and iron fist
@@KevinTheChung I mean the majority can have their way but it doesn’t change my opinion
Thank you. Thank you so much for honoring these shows. They don't get the flowers they deserve.
This video made me want to rewatch both of these series tbh! These characters deserve way more love than they received.
I feel like they should give Danny rand an actual shot, this is exactly what happened with mcu quicksilver, he was never given an actual shot
I wonder if mike Cutler would be open to coming back as Luke Cage. It was amazing casting
agreed
I agree with you.
He's recently stated in an interview that the opportunity to play as Luke cage is kind of in the "rearview mirror" and he's sort of ready to pass on the mantle/role, but probably not shut off the idea itself.
Im honestly more confused why Luke Cage doesn’t get as much attention either cuz it was such a good series to me but it seems to be ignored
Don't tell me they cancelled Luke Cage cuz of Cotton mouth.
@@mandodelorian4668 its not that. people were annoyed with the show cause they felt that the show was unoriginal, it was slow, some people thought Danny was dumb, and had terrible fight scenes.
@@darkmyro It was cancelled because Netflix stopped their partnership with Disney, where did you get your information from?
Danny Rand's character arc
Ironfist season 1
Starts out as a somewhat angry and impetuous kid, trying to find himself , solve the mystery of what truly happened with his parents , and find himself.
Defenders
Reveals himself to be more mature, centered, and comfortable with his role as the Ironfist
Ironsfist season s
We find Danny more angry, impetuous, and un-centered than ever, leading to him being trained in martial arts by a woman who he easily defeated in season 1.
Makes sense.
Thanks man I like IronFist in general nice to hear some love. Look at this way dude daredevil IronFist and the others could come back We all love to see Danny again
I hope they give all the actors from Luke Cage and Iron Fist another chance, they were all good, especially Jessica Henwick as Collen Wing
Me with DD. I was so psyched to see Wilson Bethel’s Bullseye.
@@ItsMeBarnaby I never watched season two. I hated the show that much. That said, I hope everyone involved had been able to go on to other jobs. I know Michael Coulter has.
Good to hear someone who enjoyed the Cage series as much as I did. Everyone who saw it is just like, “Meh it was ok.”
I love Iron Fist and I love Finn Jones.. so much potential. Bring back Finn Jones for Iron Fist!
That's right! Give Finn Jones a shine and give him justice.
He needs another chance.
All his scenes with Luke in Luke cage season 2 made me really like Danny and their dynamic, it’s criminal we didn’t get a hero’s for hire show or at least end Luke cage season 2 with him and Danny starting that group
Finn: Danny is wrought with trauma
Leo: Did someone say TRAUMA? I think a video is in order.
*GUN FU!!!*
love the whole defenders cast. ironfist needs his costume next round.
Great video. Luke Cage (especially S2) is some of the best superhero/comic-book tv that’s been produced
This is my new comfort channel
Bro the montage at the end gave me goosebumps
i was for sure the few who loved iron fist and the striy if a lost child trying to find his purpose and the love story between him and coling but upon learning why no one liked fin jones it was a bit more understanding
We’ll get the announcement sometime in the summer! I’m sure of it!
I view the loss of Luke Cage season 3 the same way I view the loss of a Hellboy 3, a f'ing tragedy
u are UNDERRATED AF! keep making this content!
I loved Season 2 of both Iron Fist and Luke Cage. Felt like massive improvements over their debut seasons.
I would be cool with the whole case of IF coming back and they just redo the whole thing differently with better writing.
Can't wait to see these characters rebooted to join the MCU just like Daredevil and Kingpin
random yt recommendation but loved it 💯 keep the good work up
Luke Cage was soo Underrated, S1 was fun enjoyble S2 was Great.
Iron Fist was okay for S1 but S2 was wayy better,
Finn Jones is an okay iron fist but he was Awesome in Luke Cage S2 Episode 10 I do hope he comes back with Mike Colter we need a heroes for hire show
Season 2 of Iron Fist ended on such a strong note that I was hoping Season 3 would be even better but alas..... Luke Cage cancellation really pissed me off like wtf how can you end like that! oh well cheers to you for these videos
Although its too late, thank you for putting Iron Fists short comings into perspective and admitting you liked it! I liked it too and didnt get all the hate.
Iron Fist S2 was quite the glow up after S1. Pun intended.
I thought i was the only one in the world that liked Iron Fist lol. I saw it get bashed like hell.
First (Ayy Iron Fist video finally :)
Iron fist was done dirty by writers and directors this character couldve easily had the best show. If done correctly,
I personally find it heartbreaking to see Iron Fist really grow into its own, and really get me excited for what's coming next. Then, cancelled. Apart from Daredevil and Iron Fist, the rest of the Netflix Marvel shows got a little tiring, been there done that. Daredevil stayed consistently awesome, Iron Fist showed serious promise. The rest started off stronger than they ended.
Luke cage the first half of the season was amazing but they killed the best villain with cottonmouth.
Colleen and Ward were Iron Fists saving grace.
I'm finally watching iron Fist, enjoying it.
Iron fist’s canon implied only one person can wield the fist at a time so I am curious how he gets those abilities back
Maybe bcuz of the blip the iron fist powers reverted back to him after Colleen got blipped?
He didn't, those pistols he carried were a comic nod to a previous Iron Fist in comic history that embued the power in those pistols :P
@@DerpityEllis the glow was in his hands first but maybe

Such a beautiful video.
Wonderful work my friend love your Vids and God do I hope Luke Cage comes back Mike was fantastic in the role
All they have to do is:
1.) Hard/soft reboot all the negatives aspects from Netflix-Marvel IF S1, while keeping all the good parts (as stated in this video).
2.) Give Finn Jones all the resources, the actual time and training to learn martial arts choreography (maybe bulk him up, however imo, I find his skinny-lean fit appearance to be fitting for someone like Jones. Maybe give him the Robert Pattinson-Batman bod),
3.) Ignore all the political controversy from social media and just rely on the actor's charisma to carry the performance and PR.
The song at the end is very reminiscent of moon bandits
I think if Marvel is bringing everyone from Netflix back so Daredevil, Punisher Jessica Jones, Iron Fist and Luke Cage, then it would be better if Iron Fist and Luke Cage get combined into one show called Heroes for Hire. Those two have a beautiful friendship that I wanna see explored on its own show and they can add Misty and Colleen. That episode of Luke Cage where Danny appears showed the potential that these two have.
Honestly, I watched every Marvel/Netflix show but I didn’t even know Iron First had a season 2
Love all ur videos but this one is super super good
the way he says it make me think that, in at least one time, a man AND a woman came to him at the SAME TIME to tell him(how they came to
him)
I have always been a huge fan of Luke Cage and agree wholeheartedly with this assessment of the Netflix shows.
Iron Fist needed to lean into the mystical to make The Hand more believable with the more down to earth characters
wonderful takes, thank u for sharing
If they ever plan on bringing back Iron Fist in the MCU they should make the person in charge of the character is the person reponsible for Shang-Chi. I feel like the style and charm of Shang-Chi could fit an
Iron Fist story.
Luke cage is a beautiful show
I think both luke cage and IRON FIST, yes I said that right.
Hot take
Moon knight and iron fist have a few similarities
When it comes to how DID was approached
What’s happening with Marc keeps reminding me of Mary Walker from iron fist
I guess maybe her DID situation could have been like a test run for moon knight
Cuz Mary also had the sweet innocent side
The protector side
And the darkest side
Seems like Marc is the same
Thoughts implicitly pretentious
Mary doesn't have DID, she most likely has some sort of CPTSD, but DID is a failure of personality integration and only develops in early childhood.
I do agree that the portrayal of her mental illness could have helped pave the way for Moon Knight and while I don't think either of them did a very good job of it, and they glamorised it a bit too much, they are both great characters and a massive leap forward from most previous portrayals in media.
Moon Knight and Iron Fist are the only street tier superheroes in Marvel with Mystical superpowers
@@UNKNOWN-qr7uo dude u forgot Shang chi
Never got through season 2 of luke cage, actually love that ending
There was so much to like, and even more to look forward to. Power Man and Iron Fist, KnightWing, Jessica and Hellcat, the return of Bullseye….but they’re all leaking into the MCU, so maybe, just maybe….
Wasn't appreciated the entire time it was airing despite it being to this day the best content Marvel has ever produced. Luke Cage was awesome, Danny Rand is my favorite, Daredevil is incredible and Jessica Jones is must watch Kristen Ritter was so good.
Im a finn jones stan for the got interviews too he's so much like Danny should have been. It's a real shame how bad they did him
IF season 2 had the best fight scene of the franchise
Drunk Ward vs some bartender
I totally forgot there was a season 2 of Iron Fist
Iron Fist Season 2 Quality is very Good for a Superhero series.
Don't mind me I'm just commenting this before Iron Fist gets the Disney nostalgic treatment where suddenly it's not cool to hate it anymore and everyone "always loved it"
I'm looking at you Prequel Trilogy and Amazing Spider-Man
I hate so much whem ppl say the only thing about these shows is violence. It's so much.
And this is proven by the fact that season 2 helped alleviate a bunch of those issues, and heading into season 3 it seemed like it was only going to get better.
well plot twist,,,those series werent made by netflix
Thank you
I liked iron fist season 1 too. It was not bad at all
Disney are destroying Marvel, all their Marvel series have been a joke, terrible shows horrible treatment of main heroes... At least Netflix start in the right direction, even movies are now a joke... Marvel died just as Stan Lee did
