Yeah. But Iron Fist S2 also had its heart in the right place. For example, in S2 he's incapable of handling the Fist without becoming addicted to it, but only because S1 established that his training in K'un Lun wasn't completed. Browntable you mean on Daredevil? I thought that was an improvement on season 3, Foggy and Karen stopped crying about Matt and quickly jumped on the mission.
Daredevil has been cancled... I cried. I'm not ashamed, I cried. It is the best show in recent time (in my opinion it's the best since breaking bad) and it's cancellation is a tragedy in the media industry.
@All Light That the alternate reality version of madam Hydra, and they never really called her that in full name. They usually don't just through characters out for some villian of the week segment, unless you're talking about the first season.
I said it once and I say it again:the reason why IF flopped miserably,is because Netflix doesn't understand this character. The comic IF,is a globetrotting, asian philosophy spouting, likeable, mystical Kung Fu warrior monk. He fights ninjas, other mystical martial arts fighters, with crazy ass powers, various ancient cults etc, there's lots of exotic places he visits and of course lots of asskicking involved. Imagine a mix of Ip Man and Bruce Lee,that has the boy-ish charme of Jackie Chan and the looks and skills of Joe Lewis(real life legendary US full-contact Karate & Kickbox champion, the inspiration for Ken in Street Fighter, who passed away in 2012). One famous storyline, involves Danny, taking part in a Mortal Kombat style tournament, against other fighters with cool chi powers,he uncovers a conspiracy and teams up with his opponents, which results in a major asskicking, where Danny and the other ''Immortal Weapons'' beat the shit out of an entire army. In short, the IF comics, are cheesy, but highly entertaining Kung Fu exploitation. There was non of this shit,in the Netflix show! Instead,Netflix tried to turn it into a serious superhero drama.Season 1 had all this boring shit, with the Rand corporation and Season 2,was so infested with Netflix's SJW-bullshit,they sidelined the character which the show is named after and turned it into a Colleen & Misty show. And don't get me started on the horrible fight choreography, which was even worse in Season 2! Just watch ''Into The Badlands'',instead,if you want a fun, martial arts action show.
doubleP totally agree, Iron Fist in the comics goes to amazing places and has unique villains, the martial arts should have been ramped up to 12, superhuman levels, filmed with a great choreographer and took place in someplace other than the streets. I am so burnt out on the whole "city street" locales. the show could have been kore comic book-y with a costume as well. Would love to see the character in an actual movie.
One of the worst shames of Iron Fist season 1 was the fact that I truly enjoyed the devolving character. While Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and Luke Cage are all evolving characters growing into their world gaining knowledge and the their place in their own existence, Danny Rand as the Iron Fist was a devolving character who thought he knew his place in the world and was constantly having his Illusions shattered and his joyous nature turning to depressed. It felt more like a tragedy and I truly enjoyed the different tone, it could have been crafted better but I did enjoy the different tone.
The best part about Iron Fist Season 2 was the soundtrack. Like literally, movie quality and very well crafted score and I am happy that someone else appreciates it like me.
Dude, I downloaded a bunch of the tracks for my phone and I swear that I was listening to all of them just a few moments before watching this video, while cleaning the house. Some of them are inspiring, others filled with adrenaline and others beautiful. And that's only one of the areas in which S2 puts S1 to shame.
@@uglyguy2519 My favourite ones were Davos' theme and the ending theme of the last episode, Adventure begins or something like that. Which ones are your favourites?
Ah dude, almost certainly Danny Trains. It's inspiring, energetic and upbeat as all hell. I don't like the idea of Colleen training Danny because it didn't make sense to me, but the execution of those scenes was so perfect that it makes me love them. But other than that one, where can I even begin? The Dragon Within is cool. It feels so slow and cold at first, but I know that's the idea, because the power rising at the middle in contrast is great. Feels like a great way to calm yourself down and then make your energy rise from that. The Steel Serpent sets the mood perfectly for many scenes. For example, when Danny is captured by Davos there's an atmosphere of danger, as if Danny had just fallen into a snake pit and they're approaching him, because that's essentially what's happening. When Davos finally reaches Danny and the track slows down, it gives you that really ominous feeling of Davos about to do something horrible. It really sells the idea of a fate worse than death for Danny. In contrast, whenever the singing is on it shines a spotlight on Davos, like it's trying to show us the divine saviour he thinks he is. It happens when Davos rises after his Steel Serpent mark is painted, and also when he's going upstairs on Bayard in episode 9, almost like it's telling us the son of K'un Lun arrived: he's fierce and unstoppable by nature, and he's here to cleanse this place. Danny standing in front of him in resistance right as the track stops was perfect. Both parts of Battle of the Fists were awesome. I also happen to have a list of God of War OSTs in my phone, so I love fighting tracks. I love the way this season's OST combines the Tibetan instruments and style to the New Yorker ones, but it's really visible here. Part 1 is a pure adrenaline rush, and Part 2 combines that with that feeling of the hero rising victorious. Always Bonded and The Yin and Yang are both beautiful in their own ways, always hinting at so much more in the three core characters than it's shown onscreen. You know, just like any great OST should do. The Adventure Continues Part 1 is just fun. It's cool to listen to it and be reminded of Danny and Colleen showing their badass new powers and hinting at a bright future. It makes me really sad about the show being cancelled, but it's a nice feeling nonetheless. Honestly, if at some point any Marvel Netflix show decides to look back to Iron Fist to learn something, I hope it's this: fan service is freaking great when done right, and these shows often feel in desperate need of that rather than just pandering to the dark and gritty all the time. Part 2 is also beautiful, fun and upbeat. It makes me even more hopeful about the future of these characters, even if they'll have to do it without their own show. To me it represents everything Danny should be as the Iron Fist. It's a real shame that they didn't remake the show's intro as well. I feel that the gray intro from S1 is garbage for many reasons, and if these guys had made a new one for S2 it would've been perfect.
@@uglyguy2519 Great write-up! If they ever do Heroes for Hire, I hope they get Robert Lydecker for the Iron Fist part. And yep, the fusion between the Tibetan oriental style with the more modern style was very well done unlike, as you said, the trash in S1.
I felt the message in IFS2 or at least the theme of it is the struggle of finding your real purpose think about it Danny- Why do I use the Iron fist? ever since season 1 its been no big shock that danny uses the fist but only used it for the purpose that the people who took him in told him. Coleen- Should I teach and continue to be a fighter? Davos- What am I beyond having the Iron fist? Ward- Who the hell am I as a person? Misty- Who am I outside of being a cop? Joy- What am I suppose to do if I can't be mad and bitter against Danny and Ward anymore?
Luke Cage was cancelled (per Emergency Awesome) because the lawyers could not negotiate between 8 episodes and 12. It was a business decision where Marvel wanted more money. This is not to say that your critique is not Spot On, but 8 episodes might have fixed some of the DRAG issues.
I very specifically remember the episode where daredevil was trapped in the warehouse with Vladimir. the dialog in that episode was what made it probably my favorite in season 1.
The point of Iron Fist season 2 was to demonstrate that they (producers, showrunners, etc) listened to internet outrage culture by remodeling the show over the course of the season to reflect what said culture claimed to want.
I was highly interested in Iron Fist when he was discovering stuff he hasn’t seen before and trying to get his company back. Wish they focused harder on that.
2:13 I'm actually rewatching it again. Some of my friends actually asked me why was I watching something I've already watched... They haven't watched it that's why they don't get it.
Problem with iron fist: Danny never wear the actual suit of the iron fist or an improved verson and thats annoying not only that but him giving his powers to Colleen was also annoying. the ending felt kinda rushed to me. Another problem with iron fist is that with all that money Danny has he can make a protective cool version of the iron fist suit or even something that looks alitte alike it but he dont.
I see you put that Iron Fist S2 theme to good use here. Great video and looking forward to the rest of the series! Edit: The squarespace ad was amazing lmaooo
I think it was confirmed that the writers of Luke Cage Season 2 wanted to do 10 episodes, nut Netflix needed them to do 13. So...yeah...if the writers had more freedom, they would have actually done exactly what you wanted. So...again: A production company meddling in the creative process hinders that said creative process.
When watching the iron fist season 2, when Danny says he doesn't even want the fist, it makes you wonder why the hell we are even watching an iron fist story about him when he doesn't actually want it. It's like if we were watching Chris Nolan's batman trilogy and in the second movie he just decides he doesn't really want to be batman anymore, but harvy dent does, why dont we just watch that movie instead? If they got rid of the plot device where Davos is a psychopath killer for no reason I would actually be rooting for him the whole season, in fact I was finding it difficult not to even when he was murdering people because at least he wanted the power and was actually better with it, and if he wasnt trying to take control of the city he actually would have been much more efficient than DAnny when he was murdering all of the gang members.
There was no villain switcheroo in "Luke Cage". Cottonmouth's problems began at the beginning of the show's first season because Diamondback, whom Shades Alverez represented, was breathing down his back. The weapons that Diamondback had supplied to Cottonmouth had been stolen from some kids. Considering that Luke knew one of those kids, he became involved in the whole situation.
The reason the Raiders want to make Danny Rand a horrible person is that they have fallen into the Trap of listening to the loudest voice. Danny is the only main character besides Punisher, who has PTSD, that is a representative of white male normal Rich powerful person. Daredevil and Punisher have handicaps like blindness and PTSD while Danny is a representative of a normal white male person. The current narrative being shouted online is that if you were a normal white male person you are a horrible bad oppressive Colonial dictator and you should effectively leave and let minorities and women and others being charged take power and reap all the benefits that effectively everyone including white normal men and women have work for.
It’s really hard to get into these shows. 13 episodes each makes rewatching super annoying. Going through two seasons of daredevil is like nearly 26 hours. That’s too much and there’s filler.
The acting and directing and scripting of the Daredevil series is perfect even they try to make the fights as realistic as possible with few special perks here and there ,,, and the awesome plot
I think The Punisher was the worst case in terms of filler with both seasons, there were so many subplots I didn't care about that just got dragged out.
One thing i wanted to badly in like cage is for him to not be so law abiding every episode its like "can i hit this dude or break this thing nah because im a law abiding citizen" and it gets annoying one thing i love about dardevil is that mat Matt Murdock is a lawyer but he doesnt listen to the law when hes dardevil luke doesnt feel like a vigilante or hero he feels like a cop who doesnt kill or doesnt have a gun and has way more rules.
I think something that really helped IF2, is the fact that the tone was on spot. I feel like this show is not meant to be so dark and gritty like DD and JJ, that's why it felt kinda forced in S1, along with the other problems the script had. S2 feels different, it's a little lighter but it keeps a semi-dark tone that fits the character.
The message for Iron Fist Season 2 was actually explicitly stated. Danny continued a fight because he felt entitled to power just like Davos, but New York is really Colleen Wing's city to defend. It was luck that had Danny end up in Kun-Lun and Colleen end up with The Hand. Had Colleen crashed on that plane, she could just as easily have been the true Iron Fist, which Danny understood, so he relinquished his title to someone who had something to actually fight for.
Oh crap, I didn't watch the Defenders, so I was super confused when I watched Luke Cage season 2. I didn't understand Misty's arm, Luke getting sent to prison at the end of the first season.
I don't get all your praise for Jessica Jones. That show is almost entirely filler. The plot just spins it's wheels for 13 episodes. It's completely devoid of tension. I think it's by far the worst Marvel Netflix show.
I think Daredevil might be the only one worth rewatching. I haven’t even watched season 2 of the other marvel shows, but the first. I haven’t started daredevil season 3 yet. I might rewatch the whole show
Never got the hype behind JJ. Couldn't have been more bored through it. Killgrave was the only thing that kept me watching and I think the only reason he was as good as he was is because of David Tennant's performance
i liked iron fist, specially the improvement that was season 2, minus the bs finale. and i honestly dislike jessica jones, i liked it on a technical level, but character wise is horrible, i couldn't care less about them after reaching the first half of the season. people calling me an idiot in 3...2...1...
DUDE THE SOUNDTRACK IS FIRE!!! When I heard the music play when Danny and Colleen started training, I was like "yo this shit's actually good", and the training scene was great. IF s2 wasn't the best but it was such an improvement over s1 that I was seriously bummed it got cancelled.
Browntable That whole ending to Episode 7 was amazing, going from the revelation that Ward has a child, Mary talking to her alter ego, and Danny and Colleen training which was epic. The Davos music is overused too much though, sorta like JJS2(overused music SO much)
I honestly thought Marvel Netflix; Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D and Cloak and Dagger would all end with characters turning to dust...because I thought it was all connected.
I got a whole different moral of the story for Iron Fist season 2, I got that sometimes you have to give up what you believe give you purpose in life to find yourself, see I got that Danny believed the only reason he wanted to be the Iron Fist is to have meaning, that he was empty inside and used the fist to feel something to fill the hole inside him and the fist was basically like a drug for him.
He hey, Browntable! It’s been such a super long time since my last comment back in September, but great to be here again! Been okay lately? Happy Thanksgiving now! Hope to join in last RTZ episode in the future!😊👍❤️ P.S. Love this channel! Big thank you to everyone who was in the cast of RTZ!
The biggest problem with the MCU shows on Netflix is that they aren't in the MCU. Or they say they are, but blink and you'll miss it. Other than mentioning the battle of New York in the pilot episode of Daredevil, comparing Luke Cage with "the green guy" and dealing with chitauri bullets to fight Luke Cage; there is no mentioning of the rest of the universe. I get that they are supposed to be more grounded and realistic, but why have it in the MCU then?
Luke Cage has been pretty solid and better than Jessica Jones. The second half of LC S1 was absolutely terrible, but no way does that make the IP weak.
youtube didn't put this video in my sub box or notify me of it ? i don't know if anyone else experienced this because you are the last person who needs to suffer this ! every video you make is great
The first half of Luke Cage was amazing then Cottonmouth died and yeah that was a mistake. Still that’s 6 more good episodes than Iron Fist ever had, you can’t put them in the same category like that
Jessica Jones was the first misstep towards killing the momentum. Too dull a concept. They should have gone the Marvel Knights route; Daredevil, Luke Cage, Ghost Rider and Moon Knight. The Defenders just lacked any grand spectacle and that was the biggest reason it didn't catch on.
I agree about each encapsulated episode needing to have a payoff. That's a major difference between the first and sophomore seasons. And also I do love Misty in Luke Cage season 1, but the way her character is written in the last two seasons she was in felt kind of exacerbating.

Daredevil has been cancled... I cried. I'm not ashamed, I cried. It is the best show in recent time (in my opinion it's the best since breaking bad) and it's cancellation is a tragedy in the media industry.
I gotchu boo, Binge the entire Daredevil series again 👍

Sharan Mudda he said," ...black females are ugly and irrelevant." when he replied to someone's comment. I just read it.
@All Light That the alternate reality version of madam Hydra, and they never really called her that in full name. They usually don't just through characters out for some villian of the week segment, unless you're talking about the first season.
There’s no wrong mate 😤
Heck yeah man the OST for Iron Fist s2 is incredible imo
I felt the message in IFS2 or at least the theme of it is the struggle of finding your real purpose think about it
Danny- Why do I use the Iron fist? ever since season 1 its been no big shock that danny uses the fist but only used it for the purpose that the people who took him in told him.
Great video as usual, Browntable. Also, IF Daredevil gets a 4th season, you should do a BIAM for Daredevil (2003)!
Damn that's smart, but I actually kinda like Daredevil (2003) haha
It's been 5 years. We're still waiting.
Ward should have his own show

No what? That was the only good part of Iron fist in that entire season.

Why didn’t you talk about Punisher season 1?
KevLard99 he have only watched 2 ep
I just wish we could've seen Danny become the REAL Iron Fist we all wanted😢😢😢
Thank you, Pitof.

Wish they focused harder on that.

thank you for telling me to skip the very end of the video at the beginning
Problem with iron fist: Danny never wear the actual suit of the iron fist or an improved verson and thats annoying not only that but him giving his powers to Colleen was also annoying. the ending felt kinda rushed to me. Another problem with iron fist is that with all that money Danny has he can make a protective cool version of the iron fist suit or even something that looks alitte alike it but he dont.
In the middle of Daredevil season 3 right now, and it is AWESOME
Wasn't the original title to this "What Marvel Netflix does Right and Wrong?"

Daredevil S2 was Great
Daredevil S3 is another masterpiece
I think it was confirmed that the writers of Luke Cage Season 2 wanted to do 10 episodes, nut Netflix needed them to do 13. So...yeah...if the writers had more freedom, they would have actually done exactly what you wanted.
So...again: A production company meddling in the creative process hinders that said creative process.
Its crazy how everyone who talks about netflix mcu forgets about the punisher
Pajama Zam he only watched 2 episodes
Hey, I just want to say I enjoy every video you make. they are so great!
Thank youuu!
I just wanna say that you Inspire me to make movie reviews!
Thanks so much, that means a lot :)
The Marvel Netflix shows are so Good! Really wished they made a crossover with the MCU films...😞
SirJess 007 how would they be explained to people who have never heard of them
One of the best super hero shows.. DD.. just got cancelled.
That comment oppressed me, white man.
What about an new marvel animated film Dc does it good and marvel could do better
Will you be covering the avengers 4 trailer when it drops?
Most likely, I hope
It’s really hard to get into these shows. 13 episodes each makes rewatching super annoying. Going through two seasons of daredevil is like nearly 26 hours. That’s too much and there’s filler.
The acting and directing and scripting of the Daredevil series is perfect even they try to make the fights as realistic as possible with few special perks here and there ,,, and the awesome plot
It’d be really interesting to hear your thoughts on the punisher season 1
Technically Ward is one of the four main villains of Iron Fist season 1 instead of Davos.
Virgin Iron Fist vs Chad Daredevil
Now the Grim Reaper has gone after Daredevil
*Luke Cage dabbing will always haunt me in my nightmares*
This might be a stupid question, but how do you get the footage for these videos without Netflix blacking it all out?
I think Daredevil might be the only one worth rewatching. I haven’t even watched season 2 of the other marvel shows, but the first. I haven’t started daredevil season 3 yet. I might rewatch the whole show
Man, there was a lot of spoilers and there was no warning in the beginning of the video. Why?
For me, once Cottonmouth was out of Luke Cage it kind of went down the shitter.
Never got the hype behind JJ. Couldn't have been more bored through it. Killgrave was the only thing that kept me watching and I think the only reason he was as good as he was is because of David Tennant's performance
YES. YA KILLIN IT AGAIN
i liked iron fist, specially the improvement that was season 2, minus the bs finale. and i honestly dislike jessica jones, i liked it on a technical level, but character wise is horrible, i couldn't care less about them after reaching the first half of the season. people calling me an idiot in 3...2...1...
Nice, using Iron Fist Season 2’s 🔥 soundtrack
F M That'd've been sick! (in a good way, lol)
Man these videos are great don’t stop working my guy, honestly such a funny and well edited & executed video

@@thugli4328 OK OK fine goodbye *36 hours*
I got a whole different moral of the story for Iron Fist season 2, I got that sometimes you have to give up what you believe give you purpose in life to find yourself, see I got that Danny believed the only reason he wanted to be the Iron Fist is to have meaning, that he was empty inside and used the fist to feel something to fill the hole inside him and the fist was basically like a drug for him.
The funny thing about Danny giving his powers away was that it was completely pointless because he got them back at the very end of the season.
Personally I preferred season 1 of Luke Cage to Season 1 of Jessica Jones....
He hey, Browntable! It’s been such a super long time since my last comment back in September, but great to be here again! Been okay lately? Happy Thanksgiving now! Hope to join in last RTZ episode in the future!😊👍❤️

I only feel bad because I won't see ward, just a good story underneath a bad one, there is so much to his ark it's amazing
Misty Knight has a robot arm in the comics. But, I don't remember her being a Sally Sobstory because of it.
And then they cancelled Daredevil...
What is the music at 9:28?
youtube didn't put this video in my sub box or notify me of it ? i don't know if anyone else experienced this because you are the last person who needs to suffer this ! every video you make is great
The first half of Luke Cage was amazing then Cottonmouth died and yeah that was a mistake. Still that’s 6 more good episodes than Iron Fist ever had, you can’t put them in the same category like that
Hi Brown table! I love your vids so much!!!!
Thank you so much!!!
You had me at Thank God (Zack Snyder) 😂😂
I gave up after The Defenders, I really felt like they were dragging when compared to Arrow Season 5, that was so good.
I agree about each encapsulated episode needing to have a payoff. That's a major difference between the first and sophomore seasons. And also I do love Misty in Luke Cage season 1, but the way her character is written in the last two seasons she was in felt kind of exacerbating.
I binged Daredevil 3 times .... Still worth it. And season 3 😍🥰🤤
