I thank God Almighty I lived in this time,,, I've seen Styx many times, always the Greatest show on earth I love all the Members of Styx, Thank you been a Fan from the Start ❤
Thank GOD, indeed! I'm 67 and I lived in "the best of times" in the most free Country on Earth...(though the times they are a-changin'). I'm the prophesied return of the biblical prophet Elijah. And I'm a rock-and-roller who has seen many many major concerts. "Styx" was the first. I was a senior in high school in 1975 when they came to our tiny area and played at a high school football field in a nearby town. ("The Godz" opened for them, fittingly enough!) Little did I know t the time that I was preparing to "come sail away" in the US Navy. And GOD has talked to me through a number of their songs. Three other bands that GOD chose to address me through (big-time!) were: Grand Funk Railroad, The Moody Blues, and The Neville Brothers. As a prophet of GOD, I was sent to set the record straight. Because, the religions have corrupted the message. When GOD says "good news," GOD means GOOD NEWS!!!! "Just remember that it's a Grand Illusion, and deep inside we're all the same." EVERYONE, without prejudice!
I’ll never go because they haven’t put the greatest bands that deserve to be in there Kansa Styx others put they instead put people that sample there songs instead which takes no talent what so ever

@@johncastle7058 Kansas and Styx are two of my favorite bands. Both belong in the Hall, along with Iron Maiden and several others.
Styx, Kansas, early Doobies, Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, early Billy Joel, and that just scratching the surface, and then we go across the pond. The 70’s were such a blessing.
Mr Dilly has had the Absolute privilege of seeing the "Original" Styx in concert... quite a few times..and believe me....they epitomize... True Rock and Roll at it's Amazing Best !!!! Tommy Shaw and Da Boyz ..Are..still kicking Ass in 2024 !! Styx.. Forever !!! 👍🎸😎♥️
OMG, what an AMAZING band. I'm so glad that i grew up during the BEST GENERATION OF MUSIC. I feel sad for todays younger generation if they only knew what they are missing out on. I try and introduce them to it, sometimes they get it and sometimes they don't,
I saw Styx a couple of years ago on July 24th at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in the Woodlands,Tx.They come to Houston every summer.I had a chance to see them in 1977 when they opened for KISS.Tommy Shaw is an amazing guitarist.
Over 25 songs they just played in Hershey pa. They just kept hammering out song after song. Some local band opened and played 4 songs and Styx came out and played for hours. 4th time in 5 years seeing them. Greatest show on earth 🌎.
I've seen them 10 or 11 times here in Boise. The only time they cut us kind of short was a few years ago, when there was a bus malfunction. Search Styx in my youtube channel. My buddy works the local venues and gets me in before everyone else, so I always go stage right, right in front of Tommy Shaw. I got some amazing clips from that short show.
What memories I have of the 70s , Styx, Rush, Kansas, Aerosmith, Zeppelin, Black Sabbath and so many others. The music was amazing. Later in life I became a Queensrÿche fan. When music and musicians told stories with their songs. I remember getting ripped and playing Rush 2112 . I listened to that album enough I could sing it entirely from that night on. Good times brother 😊
Most bands are somewhat disappointing in live concerts, where the vocalists never hit the high notes. That was before a man named, Tommy Shaw. No lip-synching here! The entire band is absolutely AMAZING! Btw, this is an anti-war song. God bless 'em!
We will see these guys soon on rock legends cruise for three shows(our second time seeing them on the cruise) with the legendary ALICE COOPER can’t wait speaking of Waite John Waite will be there can’t wait
I'm a lucky man, got to see the Crystal Ball, G Illusion & Pieces of 8 concerts, then Styx w/REO in 2009 (front row-center baby!) AND Dennis D. in 2010
Such great versions of these songs. The finale 🤯 The guys still deliver after All of these years. What show is this from? I want to see the whole thing!
Old time Styx fan and still love Tommy Shaw and JY but damn Lawrence Gowan butchered Castle Walls and only DDY can do that great song justice both singing and playing the keyboards

@@tomrhodes1629Good to know that Elijah is a Styx fan.
Yes indeed, I'm almost 62 and grew up in the 70's and we had the best music and bands of all times 😊
This band needs to be in Rock & Roll hall of fame!!!!@
It proves the Hall is a joke. Styx and Kansas should be inducted.
I know - How are they not ?

One of my all time favorites absolutely 💯 great
Just watched Styx at Yaamava Casino on Monday 11/11/24... they are still great, still sound the same... only older!

What I like about Styx is that they’re hard but clean and smooth.
How does Tommy Shaw pull off those screams at the end, LIVE!!?? Incredible.
Because he's Tommy Bleeping Shaw!
Fave band through high school. Grand Illusion is Stellar album.
Smoked my first joint listening to Grand Illusion album
The grand illusion tour was one of the greatest concerts I've ever seen.
Tommy Shaw wrote truth from his heart in his songs.
Styx is one of my favorite bands of all and I love ❤️ them.

Always thought this was a very underrated STYX song. Great melodies.
One of the greatest songs ever written in my opinion.
Kick Ass Jam! Tommy Shaw has lungs! Got to meet Him in 96. Road Wars, With Kansas ❤️

グランドイリュージョンのこの最後の3曲はドラマチックな感じで素晴らしいと思います。完璧だ!!!
"Hot Damn Tommy Shaw!". (GO JY GO!) Gowan has been a "one in a million" addition to these guys. He's so damned talented and modest.
Greatest R+R band ever !!!!
I've listened to this so many times. And i don't know why? I guess I feel un alone no more.
Definitely one of my favorites by Styx. Thank you 🙏 for sharing your great music with us today and forever.❤️
Wow. This song is superb. The guitar is supremely well orchestrated ❤❤❤

It's ok if they call us "old". You and I got to see the GOOD bands.
@@MB-dx1cg you got that right brother.
My favorite song by Styx is Queen of Spades and my second favorite is Man in the Wilderness.
That is an absolute Rock show
Got to give a nod to Todd. One of the best in the business.

Saw the Grand Illusion tour in Corpus Christi, TX
Legs Diamond opened the show.
Love these guys!!!👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
What a band 👏
i’m glad sticks is found a little bit of a home online. They sure have kept it fairly classy over the years. The orchestra stuff is killer.
Better than ever. I always loved Styx, but never thought of them as a deep and intellectual band til now.

Got my tickets to see these guys live in July!!
Pieces of eight tour was first concert ever. Such powerful show.
Awesome 💯👏👏👏
Saw them in Milwaukee in 1979. Future husband too. At Summerfest. We didn't meet until 1981
I was there, came up from Chicago to see them.
Styx had alot of great songs mr robto album killed them
Saw them on there Paradise tour they were awesome , have no desire to see them now without Dennis.

If you didn't enjoy that then Rock and roll ain't for you!!!
Different members. Still Great
Thank you! Love this!
I prefer Lawrence to Dennis any day! The group is a thousand times better without all the strife DDY caused.
Absolutely, and Lawrence is twice the showman as DDY!
And yet Dennis wrote many of their hit songs including Castle Walls.
Any version of Styx that includes JY & Tommy Shaw is better than any version without them!
What song legendary 🔥🔥
Castle Walls 😎
In 1976 I was on a army base for boot camp
Sure hope I can get this whole song at the concert🤞
Todd Sucherman absolutely Rocks
Yes, even my untrained ear picked up on his skill and talent.
