As soon as I saw them demonstrate the product, I knew the Dragon's would invest. For quality of pitches, this is the benchmark. Great product, right for the time, great markups, units already sold, good delivery, advertised in a magazine seen by 600 million passengers per year and they only needed Dragon's money to INCREASE their sales projections. The Dragon's were putty in their hands. As it turned out they were so successful with the product, they later politely turned down Duncan's deal.
Or you could have spent the fifty quid and now had a 200 quid collectors piece that sell as soon as they're listed online anywhere. All of their stuff are made in limited runs.
Nah, they're a good investment. I bought their 12th Doctor Sonic Screwdriver for about £70. It looks and acts like the real prop, and functions as a nice TV remote. AND, should I wish to sell it, it now goes for around £300 to £400 on Ebay.
i think they made a big mistake not investing with Peter Jones. Had they done it, I think the product would be on the shelf of every major electronics store across the uk
6:00 "Huge online games like Age of Empires" I would've called him out on this. Firstly it's far from huge, especially compared to WoW. And it has zero magic. Unless you think Wololo is magic. Maybe a tv that responds to Wololo would catch on. Anyway, they are clearly awesome guys, I'd just want to have a chat about AOE
Not only that but it is a secured brand that has proven it self worthy of it cost and reputation. They are durable stylistic and pretty comfortable. A no brand has to prove it self.
The only bad thing us that it totally prevents siri and Alexa from taking data Instead of voice command it now receives wand commands the data is less sophisticated and thus has a negative impact on AI development
I don’t remember any questions about patent protection on the wand. Is the name of the company The Wand, cause if so pretty short sighted for the other products they will come out with. What guarantee due the dragons have that they won’t come out with their other products through a different company that only they own? Pretty shortsighted of the dragons.
At 1:50 I thought "wow actually this is a fantastic novelty gift, really. Children will love it, uni students can have it at parties etc", however it is not something that will yield profit for venture capitalists, just a lot of money for the two entrepreneurs.
Love the way Bannatyne doesn’t beat around the bush just a straight offer and that’s that, poor guy probably isn’t that rich anymore though with his ex wife rinsing him lol
I have one of these. I think you misunderstand how it works. You program a signal to each of the gestures. It doesn't matter if there are two gadgets close to each other...the wand is only sending out one signal, and only one of the devices will respond to it (ie. when I use it to turn my TV on, it doesn't affect my cable box and vice versa). Also, you can program whatever controls you want to it. I'm not sure why you think it can only have play, stop, and skip.
3:06 "whats your next product?" wtf??? okay im not a business expert so can anyone explain hy he asked that even thought they are here to explain about the wand??? i mean isnt that very rude ? its like saying "this wont work so whats next?"
They ask this often. They want an investment with longevity. Since most people will probably only buy this product once, maybe twice, they need to have other business ideas to keep the investment alive.
i cant see this product working, it will just be annoying and will only be able to do a tiny proportion of full features. E.g. for the ipod it will only have play, stop, track skip. You can really skip through a lot of tracks before this gets tiring, also you can't select playlists or anything. Also if you have two gadgets kept close to each other it will create some connection issues - in the demo they managed to work it properly - but no doubt in real life scenarios there will be conflicts
@mgore90 Yeah, excactly no need to go in the den with the product just look at Theo's face after his question about their overall position. They had already produced it ready for market.
@GerryHYH Our version is still a business show with businessmen and women (who are more than likely far more wealthy than the ones on this show), the difference is that it's a popular tv show, it's entertaining, and very insightful. Sorry, the British seem to lack that in this show. Refer to : Family guy making fun of british porn.
Deborah: can you create a wand that vibrates in pulses? Duncan: I’m ooot Also at 9:59 look at that smug look of success when the video cuts out - deservedly so!
Why can't i stop watching these?
Because you're stupid.
Norbert Arányi it was shot in antalya that's why
Norbert Arányi I feel u
Cos you smoke hash
@@caraudiosolutions why would a stupid person be attracted by these? Curious
They don't really need that money, but 12 minutes of free advertising on extremely popular prime-time BBC show is priceless. :)
Yeah exactly I would like one now
I'm not trying to sound condescending, I would just honestly like to know - what makes you think so?
They already have the product, proven sales record, distributors, manufacturing, licenses and decent profit.
OhFishyFish No... No, I wasn't talking to you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
the best ideas are already taken---water electricity gas and arrrrrrrrrrr finance ahahhaha ownedd bottom feeders with no uniqueness just pure down syndrom picking up change OWNEDDDDDDDDD
Best pitch ever. So calm. Great product. Know all their facts (except the AoE shit).
Just so calm.
Mainly because they don't really need the money.
The were in control 😁😁
They stole the product this has been a thing for years got this in like 9th grade I’m 28 lol
Lol, sooo true, who the fuck has a wand in AOE
@@agenttyson007 LOL. Maybe the monks (wololo) have wands hidden under their robes.
After defeating Voldemort Harry Potter went to Oxford university and major in business
😁😁
lmao i am dead🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣👌
And also minored in Electronics Engineering..lol
@jack daniels Erm... how?
I like Theo's smile when they demo the wand. He looks like a kid in a toy shop. :)
CountryHouseGent I know I would too, what a cool product
He's hoping it interacts with the wife so he can turn her volume down.
Big teeth...
More like a nonce 🤮
Age of Empires? I mean, he surely doesn't understand the market if he thinks Age of Empires is about wizardry.
wololo?
he probably meant age of mythology...
''11'' (aoe players understand)
LAUS art "18" wololo

limited functionality, it is a gimmick, wouldn't even buy it, would finish up in draw unused, so saved 50 quid.
Most things the average consumer purchases is not needed.
Or you could have spent the fifty quid and now had a 200 quid collectors piece that sell as soon as they're listed online anywhere. All of their stuff are made in limited runs.
Nah, they're a good investment.

That man looks like a 40 year old Harry Potter...
Piotr Pilarski 😂😂😂true
No accident, unfortunately. They don’t look like creative people to me. Look like engineers.
Jenny: "I invested!"
Chris & Richard: "Out of fear! Not loyalty..."
That's how pitches should be made
i think they made a big mistake not investing with Peter Jones. Had they done it, I think the product would be on the shelf of every major electronics store across the uk
Genius product after 6mins of a flawless pitch every dragon see dollar signs and craved a percentage of that business well done gentlemen
2019 and everyone's got one amazing to look back at these early days
🤣
Luke Bell people will end up cutting down fairy tress😯
Alright, Luke bell.
If the dragons 'want to know more about the inventor themselves' then you know they're on the track to getting an investment
.. Age of Empires? A magic game? When?
Wololo!
Doesn't matter, it made them seem credible and the Dragons didn't notice.
i noticed to... i guess u got cheat codes like "ilovethemonkeyhead' or 'howdoyouturnthison' kind of magic?
Start the game already!!
START THE-START THE-START THE-START THE-START THE-START THE-START THE-START THE-START THE-GAME ALREADY
Theo the big kid! 🤣 He defo has a few of these in his gaff.
Imagine all those people who bought it then saw this lmfao I wouldn't pay £50 for a universal remote, I bought one for £1 and it works perfectly.
yeah but your one pound remote probably looks like shit

Arcane explosion is overpowered. Discuss ✌
I doubt the people playing AOE would use that wand
Lol this is so British I spit my tea out in laughter.
Age of Empires... Wtf?
Exactly, That's what I thought. This guy is Numpty
Exactly what I said to myself too LOLOL
he's probably thinking of AoM
L3ON360Z Yup.
Damn .. you beat me to it

Your kids inheritance you mean, Theo?
5:55 Ah yes. Who doesn't know the magical wizards with their remarkable wands in the huge online hit: Age of Empires..
😂😂😂
10 years later here in 2020 and D&D is one of the most popular things in the USA and all over the place.
the undercuts are brutal yet massive!
Not only that but it is a secured brand that has proven it self worthy of it cost and reputation. They are durable stylistic and pretty comfortable. A no brand has to prove it self.
Look where they are now... average yearly revenue of 5.5million loads of cool products too
They have the Star Trek communicator. It looks awesome.
That's actually brilliant, one of the first things I've seen on dragons den which i'd actually buy :O
This was so innovative at the time, loved it.
There's no wands in Lord of the rings. Unless they make a staff remote 😂
Mars and snicker bars are way smaller than they used to be and wagon wheels are like wtf compared to years ago
Oh cool a wand thing
Imagine playing Fortnite with 4 of these
where can you get this i really want one
amazon.
Curry
Dnbray dont
The only bad thing us that it totally prevents siri and Alexa from taking data
Instead of voice command it now receives wand commands the data is less sophisticated and thus has a negative impact on AI development
Has Deborah ever actually invested in someone?
She would have invested in this if it was shaped like a dildo.
Leroy Jenkins f
Aman Jaspal I can’t believe it took 7 months for someone to recognise the genius of this comment. LEROY JEEEENKINS
Luke Ellis rarely, she has got fuck all in the bank
Leroy Jenkins statistically she has invested more than any other dragon in the shows history
I want one
Squishy Pixelz it is pretty cool I agree
Guy walks in and I think - Harry Potter lazily uses wand to change channel
Watching this back Theo and Duncan made this so entertaining lol
The market is seriously HUGE and the word HUGE does not even do it justice
the best pitch ever
Jenny: I'm out
You can buy it on amazon
people really paid £50 for that?
Imagine all those people who bought it then saw this lmfao I wouldn't pay £50 for a universal remote, I bought one for £1 and it works perfectly.
ricard modo paid £100 for my 2. I use a wand to control my wand so i can do twice as much at the same time.
Yup..Me and it broke after 7 months 😬
The worlds full of idiots
I actually bought one of these thinking it would worked decently, but its actually really good!
I don’t remember any questions about patent protection on the wand. Is the name of the company The Wand, cause if so pretty short sighted for the other products they will come out with. Chris looks slightly unnerved...lol. Richard looked much more relaxed. Props to him.
At 1:50 I thought "wow actually this is a fantastic novelty gift, really. Children will love it, uni students can have it at parties etc", however it is not something that will yield profit for venture capitalists, just a lot of money for the two entrepreneurs.
Chris turns into superman when he takes off his glasses. Very handsome guy.
ayyyy shit dude this is legit they got some of them doctor who sonics down now shiiiit man
yeah fuck it's The Wand Company, fuck man they're doin alright now i had two of them actually shit
are you fucking high?
This would be a great product if they stuck "harry potter" labels on it, the fans would go crazy over this
Am Bam no thats bad
The noble collection from harry potter sell it now.
It's clever, but such technology exists in a $200 smartphone...
Red Swagon Angryfiend Technically, given the fact that every smartphone has an accelerometer and gyroscope, yes.
It's the gimmick that sells - that being it's a wand.
But is it a WAND though?

Anyone got any idea how this company is tracking now?
doing great now, they have three sonic screwdrivers and a star trek blaster
Love the way Bannatyne doesn’t beat around the bush just a straight offer and that’s that, poor guy probably isn’t that rich anymore though with his ex wife rinsing him lol
He might need to get the van out again.
If you can customize it to my pottermore wand then ooooooohhh GET ME ONE!!!!!!
rarely is any music played during DD pitches. i wonder if their choice of 'magical' music had any influence. just a thought...
I knew they were about to sell magic wands before they even mentioned it
Titles a bit of a giveaway I guess
Good guys, a great example in pitching and negotiation
I like how at the end, James Caan waved the wand and then the video finished. Was that on purpose? ;D
I have one of these. I think you misunderstand how it works. You program a signal to each of the gestures. inb4 the ipod track was just a recording
They're brilliant on each new product.
3:06
"whats your next product?"
wtf???
okay im not a business expert so can anyone explain hy he asked that even thought they are here to explain about the wand??? i mean isnt that very rude ? its like saying "this wont work so whats next?"
Because they're asking for an investment in their company, not just the product.
Good point.
+Andrew Timothy and also the investors are genuinely intrigued and excited by the potential
Andrew Timothy why are u watchig this ?
They ask this often. They want an investment with longevity. Since most people will probably only buy this product once, maybe twice, they need to have other business ideas to keep the investment alive.
I live in the us how do I get one!!!
0:00 You're about to watch the Dragons get absolutely dominated.
This product was meant to be the next big thing and I've still not seen it out yet?
I did, seen commercials of it on facebook!
I saw this in skymall magazine the other day
the wand company made it here in the US they make a star trek communicator and phaser
oh shit it's the wand company
This set look like a mafia film
ware house ...
I’ve wanted 1 of these for ages lol
Very very impressive pitch
I assumed from the title this was an accessory for the Hitachi.
where is the magic wand now? :D
It will even control the Nutcracker, sweet!
A older Harry Potter
fantasy genre???
Because they're talking about investing huge amounts of money. Dragons Den UK is actually about business. Not just making snappy TV.
That stick would fall down into the depths of any sofa, never to be seen again.
Theo De Fetus
how can you patent a remote control ?
He even looks like Harry Potter.
i cant see this product working, it will just be annoying and will only be able to do a tiny proportion of full features.

Of course there it. Can you explain how you put out a building on fire with a hammer? MIND BLOWN.
That's the most ridiculous fucking thing I've ever seen. HILARIOUS LOL
Out of all business TV programmes, i cant Get over Dragons den and sharks tank..i need the series roll......
I could still see it selling
Dropped the wand.. and volume blew the speakers and pron came on
Riveting drama here.

So where is this product?
@mgore90 Yeah, excactly no need to go in the den with the product just look at Theo's face after his question about their overall position. They had already produced it ready for market.
Magic wand? I think my girlfriend owns one of those.
the man with the beard should go for it, he's clearly a Wizard
Is this where Amazon got the idea for Alexa
I love how the guy comes in with the best fucking product and the dragons like "SO WHATS YOUR NEXT PRODUCT" Whats COCA COLAS NEXT PRODUCT
TWAT
@BRADM69 Its a business show, with business people... Not over dramatised like the US/Canadians...
I bought the wood book case i am saving for the bed.
i can't believe it is actually on sale
