I bought the aveeno oat cleanser because of her recommendation for dry sensitive skin and it totally broke me out in hives. I switched over to cetaphil dry to normal cleanser and I love it. Doesn’t overly strip my face.
I wear Aveeno oat Cleanser in the shower as a heat shield. When out of the shower, I rinse it off. Shereene tipped me off on (the product and need for extending skin contact). IT (the product) IS FABULOUS! Do try the heat shield idea, it works!

Make every attempt not to let your facial surface come in contact with hot water especially if you are taking HOT HOT for warmth. It is stripping moisture. Take as cool as you can cope with all year she says. If you use gas heat in your home...another moisture zapper. While I haven't seen our Dr. Shereene suggest it, try a humidifier to restore moisture in your environment especially if your products contain Hyaluronic Acids. If the moisture in not in your environment (Dry states arizona, dessert areas) then the HA will take the moisture FROM your skin-further drying and nearly impossible to restore. PS. I soak my pups in an aveeno oat bath. It is the ONLY thing that provides relief for their dry itchies. ~ Hope you get relief Lissandraaaa
I absolutely love the Aveeno packets that you can buy for an oat bath And I’ll take some of that powder put it into a bowl add water and then I will splash my face and kind of soak it in the mixture then Pat dry and apply my skin care and I absolutely loved it when my skins been itchy and irritated!!!!

With those pills your skin goes to the other side of the spectrum (Dry skin) so try with Toleriane for dry skin or the Lipikar brand of La Roche Posay (meant for dry skin). While on tret, no double cleaning nor agressive cleanser, a lotion is enough, and hydrate your skin (not balms for super dry skin, with moisturizers you can search for normal skin, we don't wanna have clogged pores while on tret). You can try with Vichy Mineral 89 or the revitalift Loreal serum, if you think you need more moisturizing, go for a gel, like Toleriane fluid (not cream).
Dove Sensitive Skin soap bar is my go to. I finally decided, after decades of buying cleansers, that is all I need. Double cleanse at night with an oil cleanser + Dove. No more over spending.
I've got combination too but the LRP wash was THE MOST STRIPPING wash I've used in years and I'd use less than a pea sized amount. I won't even use it to wash my hands 😂 now it's for cleaning my makeup brushes 😂
I use them both too! I am a very oily gal but that calming oat one in the morning is the perfect cleanse for when you just wake up versus the La Roche at night to get all the oily and gunk off from the day!

Started when I had uncontrollable acne as a teen and although I tried a few other options I always had to come back because nothing worked as well as their cleanser without sending my skin into some sort of an inflammatory attack. 15/10

In order for the product to be sold in those countries a separate third party company will conduct its own round of testing on the product, and their testing methods may involve animal testing. I just want to share that I am very prone to breaking out and have extremely sensitive skin . After going through multiple facial cleansers, the one that I ultimately found to be effective for me was the “Cetaphil gentle facial cleanser” 😄

While on Tretinoin, it was hard to find something that didn’t cause more irritation, Dr. Bronners soothed my skin and I have not stopped using it since. Takes makeup, sunscreen and everything off beautifully and feels incredible while moisturizing. Plus it’s only ~$5/bar. So cheap and completely chemical free and only natural items you recognize
My favourite is the Ren one, for the Evercalm range. The creamy one, not the gel. I've tested other ones, there's one from Innisfree that I like too, but I always come back to the Ren one, it makes your skin so soft.
That purifying foam cleanser was giving me fungal acne. I went thru two bottles to realize. I liked it but I couldn’t figure it out. Once I took it away- my skin cleared.

Haruharu wonder rice water cleanser has been a staple for me here recently. I don’t believe it has any active ingredients to fight acne, BUT it is however gentle and cleansing. Doesn’t strip the skin. Leaves my face glowing afterwards. The sunscreen is the best I’ve ever tried it doesn’t leave a nasty residue on my skin, 50 spf, doesn’t break me out etc( always wash it off at night still)
I know people say the Effaclar cleanser by LRP is harsh, but I use it every single day and it's the only thing that works for me 😂 I'm not even that oily and my acne is minimal. I only have an issue if I leave it on my face for a while and don't moisturize afterwards
For cleansers, I have used many different types of products but I always came back to Shu Uemura Ultime8 cleansing oil. Only the downside of it is that it’s a bit pricey. I’ll try Aveeno and see how it will work on my skin. It looks like a good product for dry skin and definitely more affordable.
I love the La Roche Posay Oil Cleanser for my dry skin. The Aveeno was nice as a backup for when I need a cleanser & I’m between checks. Could be more moisturizing though.

I have a really oily nose and forehead area and my cheeks are dryish, and it works great for my t zone but makes the rest of my face feel like it’s about to crack 😭 Caudalie’s vinoclean foaming cleanser is a good alternative for combo skin I think, makes my oily areas feel actually clean but my cheeks and chin aren’t crying out for help lmao
I have sensitive oily on some days dry on others skin, with blackheads in my nose, and some big pores that get dirty. I also have inflammation and redness, and fragrance allergies.

this entire oat line broke me out terribly. always remember to patch test for a few days prior to using anything on your face.

I've always wondered how the Aveeno compares to the La Roche Posay Hydrating Gentle Cleanser. I think they are both about the same price, no?
I am more than grateful that I found you cause you are literally my most favourite derm on RUclips! Because of you I started washing my face only with *WATER* in the morning and that's the best things I did to my skin. But.. when it comes to skincare products recommendation.. most of them are probably not available in my country as I am from India.. I would love it if you make a video about indian skin and recommend products which are from my country i guess 😂

I've got combination skin and the LRP wash was THE MOST STRIPPING wash I've used in years and I'd use less than a pea sized amount. I won't even use it to wash my hands 😂 now it's for cleaning my makeup brushes 😂 maybe its just for the excessively oily folk ✌️

I have a really oily nose and forehead area and my cheeks are dryish, and it works great for my t zone but makes the rest of my face feel like it’s about to crack 😭 Caudalie’s vinoclean foaming cleanser is a good alternative for combo skin I think, makes my oily areas feel actually clean but my cheeks and chin aren’t crying out for help lmao
I wish Derms would recommend more products that are cruelty free 😢
La Roche Posay ia my holy grail- ride or die- absolute favorite cleaner for ny oily/combo skin. And a great value too (its huge! 400 ml/13 5 fl oz)
I tried the Aveeno and love it!
I have sensitive oily on some days dry on others skin, with blackheads in my nose, and some big pores that get dirty. I also have inflammation and redness, and fragrance allergies.
That Avenoo is good I let it sit on my face for a few minutes and I was 😮 but it did leave My face feeling hydrated.

La roche posey tolerance ph 5.5 soften facewash nice and cleans at night. I never hear anyone speak of it. I've sensitive roscea skin.i dint use wash in morning,
I use the inkey list oat cleanser it’s also oat based and fragrance free and I got it for Christmas but I’ll keep the aveeno one in mind for when I run out
Just got the oat cleanser one and it kinda bothers me that it doesnt get all foamy, I feel like it’s not doing anything, but if you insist it’s good I’ll keep using it
I'm dry / sensitive with flakey skin around my mouth and on my nose and the aveeno oat cleanser BURNS !!!!! I was using the Super Facialist Vitamin C+ cleansing oil but can be slightly pricey for someone living on an extreme budget
