I had tried another description elsewhere and just could not figure it out; my sample looked totally wrong and I was frustrated. Thank you so much for the details and also for explaining why the steps are done a certain way to make a specific look.

    A great pattern! I was looking for something that didn’t have big holes to make for my third great grandchild. With my first grandchild I decided to make a full size Afghan instead of a baby blanket. Four grandchildren and 2, now a third great grandchildren for made to be heirloom afghans. Thank you it’s coming out great in just one color “ecru”.

    • @nicolaking2704
      @nicolaking2704 6 лет назад +1

      Hi - As this pattern requires multiples of 12, I'd probably go for 36 or 48, depending on how wide you'd like it...that's for a DK yarn. If you used an aran or chunky, you might want to chain less stitches.

You teach at just the right speed and make me feel like I can do it. I have made 5 of your blankets already. My first grandchild was born recently so these will come in very handy. Can you recommend a good yarn for beginners?
