@@AutoSchrauber You're very welcome. I have this job to complete on my recently purchased 2.2 TDCi (200), so I haven't yet been undernath the car. Could you please confirm if the undertray needs to be removed and how high I need to get the drivers side of the car to allow a reasonable level of access i.e. do you think jacking up the car will be sufficient to allow access?
Yes, the underbody protection has to be removed to get to the lambda sensor. I can't imagine that jacking up the car is enough for this repair. From experience, the lambda sensors are very tightly fitted/have ‘baked on’ over the years. This means that a large spanner (large leverage) will probably be required to loosen them.
i would say it should be a lifting platform or a pit. Because if the lambda sensor cannot be released (which happens often). Then you would need a large tool with a long lever, if the car is only jacked up, you cannot use such a tool.

Very good video, good information and not a lot of 'filler' like a lot of YT videos! 👍
Thank you very much for your kind words.
I'm glad to hear that the video was helpful for you

@@AutoSchrauber Thank you for that information, so you think it needs to be done on a lift then i.e. at a proeprly equipped garage?
