Great demonstration and explanations. Even though it was a 20 minute video, I was engaged the entire time. Your explanations were concise and not drawn out.
It's a smart way to add a filter pane, and I already used this trick in some of my previous Power BI reports. However, a filter pane per report page must be created, using bookmarks. It can be quite time-expensive when a report has several pages. Moreover, I noticed some slow performances. More recently I opted for a single filter page for the entire report, using a button with page navigation action and hiding synchronized filters in the report pages.
hello, wonderful style to get all slicers , thankyou for it, i had little issue hile applying this technique, i want same style filter pane on all my 6 page power bi dashboard. so do i need to add bookmarks for specifically all pages or 2 would be enough. as when i update one bookmark and then copy to another page then it redirects back to original page from where i copied. so how to tacke with it,
This is very beautifully done. However, what if we want the filter pan across multiple tabs? Would we need to copy on each tab and create a set of bookmarks for each tab?
Thanks :) yes exactly that's what the bookmarks are for. You can preset some slicers and create a bookmark (make sure the Data is checked) and apply it to the visual. Whenever you navigate onto this bookmark, it will go to this sate of the slicers.
if you want to have your slicers in a specific selection when you open the report, you need to save the file in that state. The report always shows the state you saved the file in, when your efresh the page
Public announcment you mean when you publish the report? I'm also not sure what you are referring to by advanced filters pane. The default filter pane on the right side?
They do the same, closing the filter panel. It gives the user more than one option to close the filter panel to make it a bit faster. It's a common ui element and you can see it for example in the Windows popup dialogue windows too
@@yourownkpi you are right. Yet it doesn’t mean that is the best approach as Windows is not known for being user friendly. I would look at iOS as an example. Anyway that aside i love your videos and hope to learn more from you

When Close Button is press the Filter is cleared. The Filters should remain the same as selected by user but it clears the filters and closes. What's the solution?
Hi want your little help in power bi If i create matrix table Those matrix table columns have names of employees and also manager's name now when i publish report when employees see that report they should see only their name The manager's name should not appear when the manager see the report Then everyone's name should appear It possible to we can create such a button in Power Bi, when the manager presses that button, a panel of password will appear and after entering the password, a report of employees include with manager names will appear.
Are the employeee and manager names in the same column? In that case you can look into Row Level Security. With that you can filter the data and show different results diepending on which user opens the report. There is no need for password or anything, it happens automatically. ruclips.net/video/MxU_FYSSnYU/видео.html
@@yourownkpi Yes employee and manger name are in same column and 2nd column is score and manager don't want to see there scores to employees and manager want to hide score from other employees in matrix table but when publish dashboard manager open link then automatically manager see there own score but when employees open link automatically hide manager scores
Part 2 is out :)

I did it before 3 years ago.. anyway good job 🎉
Very nice solution. It’s always a tricky balancing act between space for slicers and visual content.

Thanks! Yes that is the case. You have to copy the visuals and create the bookmarks on the pages separately
Brilliant tutorial
Can the slicer panel be replicated in all the sheets of the power bi report?
What ruler software used for that alignment red lines?

wow it's awesome, but just wondering if you can save the values of the slicers and later when you reload the report the values are still same?

is it possible to set the filter from the advanced filters pane in the same way, so that they are visible in the public announcement?

You have to uncheck the 'Data' when setting up the bookmark to not affect the slicer selections
You can create another button and use bookmarks.
