Thanks man for the useful video. Dev has to perform alot of work, I wish powerbi will simplify the UI part in the future. But, i like the way you designed. Keep posting useful stuff!

Thank you so much for your wonderful video, that mean for me a lot. May you should us about how to change the color background base on our selection please?
Users or developers? If you have a large / universal report, users will appreciate the ability to easily navigate to the pages / page views they want to see. If you mean developers - just like any type of software or coding language, the more experience you have, the the better / faster you get. You learn tricks along the way such as creating templates. Is this something that is going to be needed often? More than likely no. However, it's nice to know we can incorporate creative techniques in Power BI to enhance the UI, with the ultimate goal of enhancing the UX.
I appreciate the feedback! This tutorial can be followed using any dataset. It's more teaching the techniques. However, the exact dataset is from my course which is in the video description if interested.
It´s a nice technique, but I´m struggling on navigation through pages once when I move back to the previous page the navigator page drop down is visible......I don´t know how to reset to the default state or even if it´s possible....
@@brenobrendalia7838 i think the expected behavior with a back button is to go to the last state the user was in, so I personally think it's okay and they can close it. Unfortunately Power BI doesn't allow button on Hover effects just yet. We have a couple options here. You can simply delete the back button if needed. Then make sure each bookmark for each page view has the sub menu hidden / update those if needed. I personally wouldn't worry about it though as it still makes sense to see the sub menu when you click back. Another option is to create a navigation menu with html and css. I may try to create a video on this down the road. With this type you could have the sub menu open on hover instead of on click. Other than that I'm not sure of another way. Hope this helps. 👍
I did this earlier, But I got a problem there. When I selected another page in page navigation and coming back to the same page. The navigation sub menu was still on. Is there any solution for this or it's a glitch.

Absolutely...Its way too much work
I agree. They need to continue to enhance their software. I will say though Power BI has come a long way since day 1.
Amazing!
Appreciate it...Glad it was helpful!

I will put that on my list for you 😃
Is there an addin for the color picker?
Hey Matthew....It's a separate free software. You can download here --> colorcop.net/
love that !
Looks good, but a fair amount of work which most users won't appreciate

Could you please make separate short video about how to maintain too many bookmarks From scratch ?
@modatheralawad2983 will do! Great Suggestion 👍 UPDATE...I just published this 😉
which canvas setting do you set on your power bi vdo is it 6:9 ??
@@mintitatechatiumchan2348 16:9 (1280 x 720), which is the default. Just make sure PowerPoint is the same canvas size as well.
Hello. You're cool. Can i be your friend!?
Banter aside, your work has a great eye for detail and I'm excited to try something this polished.

@nextlevelpowerbireports got it .Thanks
that is a hell lot of hoops to jump thru to get to look like this. 🥲 screw the users. i'm gonna stick the default ugly ones. 🤣
Yeah, hopefully future updates will help us make these UI choices easier to implement. 😃
