  • Fantastic engine sound! Watch as we rotate and climb right into the clouds! Comfortable lie flat seats in US Airways' Envoy cabin! Out of the window you can see all the big jets parked at the international terminal including the Lufthansa A340-600! Very low ceilings and poor visibility today! Runway 36R departure! Filmed from the First Class cabin on board US Airways! Flight 938 to Philadelphia. 5/5/13.

The mid-low range bass frequencies after climb thrust reduction are goosebump worthy. You've got some of the best footage I've ever seen of modern commercial turbofan engines

    These jet engines.
I remember my first ever flight.
    To new York.
I was over the Atlantic on a 747 and I just sat and gazed at the engines in wonder. I remember the RR Logo. Rolls Royce. It put me at ease.
Now....I love flying. But I still marvel at those engines.
And that sound at 20 to 30 seconds is the best sound known to man.

That's one intense video! I kinda love the picture of a plane takeoff in heavy rain and, like, how the rain is still rain in a considerable altitude :) To be honest, I thought the rain would turn itself into snow at some point, since we know a certain altitude starts a zone of permanent freezing. But we rarelyphysically _see_ this fact :)

Great sound and video quality. Good job keeping the camera steady, too, as many of these wingview takeoffs in less than favorable weather are prone to turbulence shake... Compressor blade buzz is normal for these engines on takeoff power, reduced power at around 4:00 to adjust vert. climb speed for fuel savings then powered back up again to continue climb to cruise altitude. It's really not as loud as it sounded here, just good equipment in use.
