First, I wanted to say thank you for doing this comparison between two of the most reliable SUV's in this age class. The video was great! Mercedes and Lexus are both known for reliability. Mercedes ML350 (2012-2015) took it a little further. They have the best frontal collision safety feature vs. Lexus RX350. ML350 has a little more standard technology features (unless ungraded), but what you cannot tell from the video, which is the BIGGEST difference, has to be the ride comfort. My favorite feature on the ML350 is the air suspension. The ML350 2012-2015 is like riding on a cloud. This vehicle absorbs bumps like a champ. There was a reason this vehicle was in most wealthy family driveways as a daily driver. Both standard models are not that great on gas, but the Bluetec wins over the RX350 It's a dream riding around town and for long highway trips. Second, would be the Harmon Karmon sound system is also superior as it has a 14-way surround system and a dedicated Subwoofer. When you're driving and you hear music voices or tones from the rear or side, it's almost a hazard for having that damn good of system. (LOL) Oh, I forgot to mention the ML350 has hands free parking assist as well. For all of the bad comments on the ML350, you stated the wrong year models. I spoke to several certified MB techs and they said models 2016 - beyond has by far the worst problems which most are all electrical. They changed the interior instrument clusters. A well serviced and maintained ML350 from 2012-2015 will go to 200-250K with no problems other than standard maintenance parts with no interior/exterior rattling whatsoever. It's a no brainer for me which is why I own a 2015 ML350 4matic loaded w/ 35,000 miles. - Ride with Miee - Your next video should be the most reliable and safe electric SUV vehicles!

Comparing these two beauties, i would go for the RX350 all day every day, i presently own one after i swapped my 2012 ml350 eights months ago. The Rx350 isn't as luxurious as the ML350 but the peace of mind you get whenever you're travelling is the main deal breaker! ML doesn't develop faults frequently but it can break down when and where you never expect it to expecially the power steering but most users won't tell you these things they face with pride. My advice: if you're a daily driver kindly go for the RX350 but if you're the boss who doesn't have to have daily then the ML350 is the way to go for you. 🍻

I prefer the ml 350 because when maxed out in options it has more features xenon led front lamps, heated and cooled cup holders in the front ,side step lamps, interior ambient lights which we beg Lexus for daily.

Please take two of them to the road and do a high speed run and check which ones steering starts to shake first on high speeds..obviously the Lexus… when you talk about a better car too, you talk about safety. The ML beats the Lexus all round in safety better balance and traction, the ML still has a stronger chasis, better brakes and braking distance, better interior sound proofing. I can still go on.
I don’t think the ML is built in a way that you have to visit the mechanic Everytime. If you treat the car nice it won’t give you stress. A reliable car is a well maintained car

Now just to add a few, personally Am a cedes person and the ML is one of my fav series especially as of 2013. I’ve owned the ML350 2015 for 3 years now which includes all the above mentioned features and a few more, I most say, Mercedes has it all. No disrespect to Lexus, but honestly I don’t think there’s a competition here. In the case of this two, I can only advice anyone to take the Lexus over the ML350 if they prioritize fuel consumption. Aside that, ML350 everyday all day. Cuz like u rightly concluded, “A reliable car is a well maintained one”, hope this helps.

If you plan to tow, comparing these two is apples and oranges.
The Mercedes’ tow capacity is 7200 lbs (273 lb-ft torque) while the Lexus’ is 2000 lbs (258 lb- ft torque).
I’ve used both cars ..used Ml first.. I must say they are all wonderful cars. But for rest of mind , Lexus is bae , Been using my 013 Lexus since Feb and till now never visited any mechanic, just basic oil change and recently Alignment, it wasn’t the same case for the ML when I used it .. but they’re great cars

Mercedes Ml is really different from Lexus. Mercedes is really ahead on these cars even if Lexus is a high game. Mercedes requires regular maintenance. If you maintain a Mercedes it can last longer than any other brand. But often people don't do maintenance because they know it's a solid car. Mercedes are the best if you do maintenance regularly.

@@davidplaysalot8726 ML barely generates fault, it is very rare for you to find ML in mechanic shops. Selling my GLK and buying an ML was the best decision I made. I fell inlove with this car for the past 2 months since I have been driving it. Most times even if I don’t have anywhere to go, I just get into the car and drive of, cus of the sweetness of the driving experience.
Luxury cars are meant to be Luxurious, not to be regularly cheap like toyota. Rolls royce will tell you that , so electronic steering made it to be more luxury, well ml should be compared with gs 460 not rx, rx should be compared to glk , mercedes anytime anyday

@@olatundeaboaba The ML350 is way more durable, you can drive an ML for one year without fixing anything, except servicing/oil change. The RX350 is also durable, but consumes more fuel than the ML. When it comes to balance, the ML standouts. I have been using mine for the past 3 months now, haven’t touched anything, even with the bad roads. The ML beats the RX in almost every aspect, including interior and exterior. The RX doesn’t come with a rear wiper.

Did you say "two very reliable SUVs" or one money pit SUV and one reliable SUV. Mercedes in general has better performance and handling, but we all know about the maintenance cost and reliability. Alot of sensors & chip controlled parts that breaks after some years.
Advice to Mercedes lovers: Buy only German made Mercedes, not US made or any other.
THE ML350 is a very reliable car for what it is. You can check videos on youtube, many positives reviews about it!, even used!

The ML 350 is a sweet SUV... I see the Rx 350 as a shit box. I love driving fast and the ML is my ride. The Rx 350 is a time bomb, when you're on high speed. If you like driving fast, stay away from the Rx 350. It will rollover one day and kill you. It killed my guy last year. Rx 350 is unsafe. Run away from it.

Not a comparison at all , as for the speed 127mph in rx 350 feels the same as 65mph in sound and ride it's very consistent which is why it beats the Mercedes hands down, also the fact that the Lexus is a smart car doesn't hurt ...

You definitely haven’t used an ML, too obvious. When it comes to reliability, it’s in the same range as the Lexus. When you talk about luxury, you can’t even mention that RX, because the ML beats it in every aspect. My friend has been driving his own for about 2 years now, mine is about 3 months now. I haven’t spent any money on it since I bought it, just regular 4 months servicing and oil change. Same as my friend.
Maybe y’all give your ML to roadside mechanics that ends up telling you to buy things that are not bad, just to extort you people. If you can find a very experienced Mercedes mechanic, you will fall in love with the ML. My GLK was what almost made me to hate on Mercedes brand, but I later realised that it was my mechanic that destroyed that car. Since I bought the ML, I had to search for a very experienced Mercedes mechanic and found one.
But why people are avoiding used Benz

Not by a little, but the reliability of the ML350 blows the Lexus out of the water. There is ABSOLUTELY no comparison. The zero, ziltch. I know this as I have direct ownership experience with 4 of them. We're talking 220K miles, without a SINGLE item ever breaking. I can travel Not one

@@christianameh4762 You are excellently wrong in this your argument. The ML is among one of the best SUV’s which has been active for the past 10 years, the interior still stands out till date. The ML isn’t that expensive to maintain except you are careless with your car maintenance. ML barely generates fault, you can go a whole year without fixing any major thing in the car.
The ML beats the RX in terms of balance, speed, interior, exterior, lesser fuel consumption, grand presence and balance.
@@christianameh4762 I have a 2002 E320 4 Matic wagon 154,000 on it and runs like a clock. Hoping to get 350,000 from this German Auto. I always get complements when at a self serve gas stop. Mercedes didn't produce many wagons. Now discontinued the wagon due to SUV demand. The wagon has lost interest in appeal in the states. The oil takes 8 1/2 Quarts, Mobile 1 synthetic--the 6 Cylinder engine has 12 spark plugs-2 plugs on each cylinder. That's why they can go 350,000 -you need to do your maintenance. The other reason I like the 2002 it does not have a lot of electronics on it. Not even sensors on the tires. . So your statement about 10 years may not hold up in my case. I also have a 2015-ML 350 4 matic-and my wive drives a 2012 GLK 350. 4matic No issues with any of these German Cars. It's all about doing the maintenance, which a lot of people neglect. Also if I was in an accident, I rather be in a Benz car, also the Benz Air ride and interior sound insulation can't compete with a Benz. Close the Door on a Lexus and then the Benz. The Lexus is like tin can.

The ML350 is one of the most reliable SUV that is still rocking the fairly used car market till date. It’s reliability is a 10/10.
It beats the RX in every aspect, even the maintenance cost is only slightly more than the Lexus, but you can drive your ML for a whole year without fixing anything, except you are a rough driver

@@ridewithmiee For the Japanese to be able to build good cars now, they came over to Germany with their tourist cameras and copied a lot their working ethics etc. Why I will prefer the Merc is because of the fact that, it is more rugged, the design gives it the so called FLAG SHIP status, many security benefits, like chassis, suspensions, just to name a few. And the Mercs were the first to build a car. The prize is just there for them from the beginning.

😂 you must be a consumer, not a mechanic the RX 350 by far is much more superior due to longevity the expense of the MI350 has a short lifespan. That German car was not built to last more than 10 years.
