If the tutorial is literally a "do specifically what I demand from you or I refuse to work completely" situation, I would say its fine to trigger the flags the game needs to not throw a hissy fit if you proved you could theoretically get around them, just like the rule for parts/treasures being allowed to be collected once you managed to push them into the ships beam
True, I felt the same way knowing how near iron clad Pikmin 2 is, but I like how Sample really went out of his way to never press that bag if he could avoid it. Reminds me of Ocarina of Time, namely ZFG's randomizer runs where even if an item is literally impossible to get due to logic (needing the mirror shield to shine light on a sun that reveals a chest that contains the mirror shield, which is required for Twinrova, as light arrows don't work on the sun marks IIRC in that game), he still finds a way to get to Ganon somehow. Not enough to just see the glitch on youtube, do it and them play the game like a casual, that shows dedication and mastery of the game's mechanics to prove it can be done non-TAS.

I like listening so Sample’s videos as I fall asleep. It’s oddly comforting 😴
Literally any pikmin 2 player: "Debt obviously isn't the end of the game"
Pikmin 2 challenge players: "uhhhhh na this is the ending"
0:25 And now to wait for the Pikmin 3 video. Where you take that disc out of the shredder and put in the Pikmin 4 cartridge.
Wow! This challenge required a LOT of tricks and effort, props to you for getting it done!
Another banger video, I'm always amazed at how much sheer time and effort you put into these challenges. The strats you find and use are always so insane, and that isn't even mentioning all the great editing in the actual video itself. Keep up the great work!
(also bill is the goat)
0:16 Of course you managed to take it out, it's not even close to being a bad game.
12:23: Sam's secret identity as a waddle dee exposed
look man I don’t control what I say
Yet again the music choices are top tier. Love getting the 999 and DR representation
6:55 Schrodinger's Jimmy
Real
damn it you already commented this
The Zero Escape references make me way too happy
dude i love all of these videos, i can't wait for the next *(entertaining)* hell you put yourself through
13:10 that's my name you can't have it
Honestly, I love this channel a lot. You make your videos really entertaining and it’s one of the only channels I can focus on for more than 20 minutes at a time. And there’s pikmin content which is fueling my hyperfixation. Just wanted to say thanks! :D
i genuinely adore this channel it is perfect for me in every way the content the commentary everything! it's so good especially when my anxiety or depression is running rampant I can't wait until I can support you financially I look forward to every video you produce and I have watched some of them literally hundreds of times and I know this will be one of them too
YEAAAAHHH NEW SAMPLE VIDEO !!!!!!
your commentary is so entertaining and the challenges are always really interesting, i love seeing the miserably time consuming methods you use to do everything. absolutely perfect video to watch while eating lunch, 10/10
12:25
Woah I knew about another mum bump route, but knockback extension is a new tech to me. Gonna have to look into what you can do with that
19:06
Burrow-Nit Transportation is neat, but a Wollyhop Super Jump would have been more efficient.
Aw man I completely forgot about that trick, would’ve been super cool actually
That was amazing. Your pikmin 1 video is one of my favorite challenge run videos of all time and i rewatched it tons of times by now because its so fun, really happy you are continuing through the series.
Now i need to play pikmin 3 so i can see the next video on this 👀
So awesome that you did 2 as well !!! I loved loved loved the music choices in the bkg in the first one and this was no different,, great video!
7:00 love the reference to Virtue's Last Reward
both in music and what you are saying!
YEAH NEW SAMPLE VIDEO WOOOO!! Good job with the challenge, the glitches and stuff you show off is mindblowing to me!
o7 thank you for the consistent high quality content, been around since the commentated Kirby:SSU TAS and it's always been bangers. Been loving everything you make, excited to see what comes next. 10/10 good shit
Really well done video!! The editing is really well done and love how smooth the transitions are to the commentary and how the game sets to black on it's own. Ofcourse the render of the area and enemies are really, really lovely. All around an amazing watch!
Also, nice use of Corpse Party chapter 1 theme. Horror game music is always a bop to listen to
I love all of your videos! I'm so excited that you're doing RUclips full time now and can't wait to see what comes next on the sample chample
I love your videos! I got so excited when this one popped up on my feed, because I've watched almost every one of your videos on the channel. Thanks for the great content and know that your video was my favorite study break from my board exam so far 😂
Love you Sam. Good video, great editing, terrific effort. Thanks for sharing with us what you enjoy to do.
0:28 rip pikmin 3
I love how Sample hates Tanner so much like Tanner murdered Sample’s family.
you don’t know the half of it I swear
28:35 I see two purple pikmin.
Edit: ah, I get it, drone.
So the minimum number of pikmin is 15. One of each type, plus 9 unionized forklift certified purples (one of whom also has a cave diving cert).
I've never seen any pikmin content outside of your videos and I'm fine with that, I'd watch Sample play just about anything. amazing production and professional-level commentary alongside friendly dry humour and fun skits
Ty for the upload sample channel 🙇♀️ [we all say in unison]
10:02 omg i'm crying, omori music is too good - why you do me like that brother 😭😭
Fr fr
Awesome. I really hope you do a part 3!
The Escapists music in the background was a great choice for the prison of a tutorial.
yuuuup I was waiting for someone to notcie
I absolutely Love the editing in this vid, all the camera work was awesome and the greenscreen hand was so gouda
Most pumped ive been to see a new video come out in a hot minute. Keep it up man!
44:50 One could say that the real treasure was the friends we made along the way
you’re actually insane, keep up with the great vids my man. absolutely adore your videos and you always hearts all comments
This was really cool! I think it's fair to compromise for the sake of keeping the challenge interesting, and your narration really helps keeping this videos interesting.
One criticism on the video, maybe, but while people who have watched the Pikmin 1 video know why you allowed 1 of each Pikmin in that video, giving a quick summary in this video about why you did it might still be useful for people who don't have that context, or who forgot it.
Yea that’s fair. I jus didn’t wanna reference the first video too too much since the challenge rules are a lil different
@@SampleChample Yeah, I think a quick refresher in the beginning would have been enough, but I understand that it'd affect the video flow.
absolutely dope as always, your content is so refreshing
that start of the video skit was amazing. classic yt skit format. didnt overstay its welcome. well acted with a good sense of physical comedy. said pikmin 3 is shit. 10/10.
i cant believe i wasnt already subscribed, your challenges are so fun to watch!
also, based chibi robo music at the end. i get so excited whenever someone's even heard of that game!
I genuinely love watching your videos
you're funny, entertaining, and the way you explain how the game works is so fun
I use your videos to fall asleep/pos
I'm so excited to see what's next
it's as if you know my current obsession Sample (and as if you didn't caused it in the first place with your "Pikmin 1 no pikmin challenge" bc I rewatched it again and went "oh wait i have bought p3 a while ago i should play it") great stuff as always, with stellar commentary and editing, love your style!
ps: as someone for whom pikmin 3 is the first game played in the series i am quite upset with it being put in the "bad games shredding machine". i challenge you to now do that game with a pikmin limit as well >:3c (not p4 tho. in p4 the problem is solved with Oatchi and it's just not fun)
pik3 might happen but I can’t promise it’s broken enough lol
Your dedication is insane. Pikmin is no joke. And challenges are even more brutal
WAKE UP sample just posted
Would not be surprised if I see Pikmin 3 with 1 of Each Pikmin in 3 months
I have to get it out of that dang machine first
@@SampleChample Maybe it is for the best
These challenges never fail to amaze me. The dedication, the pure effort, its astounding.
That Escaping the Tutorial bit is the first things thats GENUINELY scared me in ages. 😭
You set it up like a real horror segment congrats lol
I’ve been waiting for this
7:34 OMG I RECOGNIZE THAT PAC-MAN THEME
