Fun fact, if you were to lower the income percentage down to 25% in the menu before you start the game, all of the crops sold in the shops are also quartered in price. Your starting money is unaffected, and since you wont be selling anything it has no real downsides. The only problem is that house upgrades, the travelling cart, tool upgrades, farm buildings, animals, and the vault bundle are all unaffected by this price decrease. As such, these things are still off the table with your original 500g starting amount. It's pretty much only crops that are lowered in price. Just thought that would be interesting, and allow you to potentially buy more items as needed if you were to try this again. Also, if you place soggy newspaper into a recycling machine, you have a chance to get cloth from that.
Oh shoot, I had no clue that you could lower prices that way, that’s pretty sick. Definitely lowers the minimum gold by a bit since flower seeds are a necessary buy from what I can tell.
You could've planted the Star Fruit within the greenhouse since you did the Pantry before the Bulletin Board to not have to worry about it being summer or it getting smited by Zeus.
My only idea for the vault is to constantly delete the extra houses then buy back a house at the carpenter shop. This will allow you to get a player to join in as a “fresh” player. With this you will net 400 gold every time without adding (500 For the starting player, and -100 to buy the house) You just need a lot of time and another patient person. Though I have not tested this. But if this works then technically you can beat stardew without gaining any farm money.

You can actually crack geodes for one coal each using a geode crusher, which you unlock from doing Clint's special order on the bulliten board. I think the cutscene triggers even if you don't collect the money from the quest log, but I could be mistaken

The burglars ring most likely did help, instead of doubling whatever item that mob drops, it actually rolls the chances for item drops twice, meaning you get two chances to spawn an iridium bar per mob

16:51 The fish pond bundle would actually be doable in 1.6 now since there's a book of power that allows you to get roe from fishing occasionally in chests. Not to mention, there's also mixed flower seeds now. Tbh I think this challenge may be quite a bit easier now.
@@louloudaki_ I'm not sure. It probably accepts roe of multiple types, since ConcernedApe updated how bundles and quests accept items to allow for different quality types, so that probably included different items in the same category, but I haven't tried it myself to say for sure.

I needed this one, as someone who is graduating high school, and moving away soon to go live on a farm, moving away from a big city (No I'm not kidding) I need a way to sustain myself without needing to earn cash. I'll definitely remember to stay safe traveling down the suspicious abandoned mines nearby looking for some Iridium from the monsters in it. Another great video, the transition to the sponsor was very smooth, and yet again you nailed having a fun explanation for a big problem (Buying that board was worth it) the conundrum of getting hardwood was definitely very fun, and the simplicity of using a chair to solve it is very funny. This seemed like it took a VERY long time to make (If you see this I'd actually like to ask what the final date was in the game, just curious) but it was one of the more interesting videos. And that's saying something considering your content is always a treat to watch. 12.3/10 Would watch it (for free) again... wait no then you EARN money from that wait-
The effort put into this video is incredible, and even though it was a failed challenge in the end, it was incredibly satisfying to see all of the items collected over the entire run sold all at once.
It takes a lot of courage to get that far and then accept defeat, you could have cheesed it by demolishing and rebuilding the cabins sure but that would trivialize the entire challenge. Big respect.

In 1.6, one of the books gives you a low change of getting row in treasure chests, so although it would be torturous, you can complete every room except the vault!

Coming back to this video because the pets give you gifts now! It doesn't change the whole vault problem, but it should open up some that require animal products.
If you're wanting to try this challenge in 1.6, there is a book that lets you find Roe in treasure chests when fishing, allowing you to do the fish farm bundle for free. You can find this book very rarely in fishing treasure chests.
If getting gold from joined players is allowed, which it seemed to be, you could have demolished their homes to let new people join and murder for cash at +400 gold per home demolished and rebuilt. So it would be possible that way

You were wrong about the roe! You can get roe from treasure chests while fishing and you can age it in a keg! So the fish pond bundle would require a lot of time and a bit of luck, but I’d 100% possible!

This is why stardew valley is such a masterpiece honestly, there is nothing you can do in the game without exploring every part of it, I mean, lets look at perfection speedrunners, they need to visit so many places for one or two items, its just, honestly beautiful.
I thought it was so well-placed too- really conveyed the mood. Do you know what song specifically it is on the OST? I love Stardew but I've never heard it, lol.
Just for fun in retrospect, while it inherently doesn’t help with the vault, doing this challenge in 1.6 might make a couple of things available or cheaper to obtain. Things that come to mind are mixed flower seeds which can grow every flower in the garden bundle, and being able to obtain prize tickets without earning money by repeatedly winning certain festival challenges, which can be turned in for an apple sapling (however it’s 50:50 to be a pomegranate sapling instead, and this only occurs once on the eighth slot so there is no second chance if you got unlucky - a predictor can tell you in advance). Roe can also be obtained from fishing treasure with the Jewels of the Sea book which is also found in fishing treasure.

As if I didn't already understand this, the Cave Story music appearing in Chapter 2 completely solidified for me that you are a man of absolute culture and class. I know it's far fetched but I would love to see a Cave Story challenge video, it would bring some much needed attention to an incredible game and would be quite fun to watch in my opinion.

If you're wanting to try this challenge in 1.6, there is a book that lets you find Roe in treasure chests when fishing, allowing you to do the fish farm bundle for free. You can find this book very rarely in fishing treasure chests.
If getting gold from joined players is allowed, which it seemed to be, you could have demolished their homes to let new people join and murder for cash at +400 gold per home demolished and rebuilt. So it would be possible that way

You were wrong about the roe! You can get roe from treasure chests while fishing and you can age it in a keg! So the fish pond bundle would require a lot of time and a bit of luck, but I’d 100% possible!
crazy enough, this challenge gets a little easier in 1.6 with the addition of mixed flower seeds, saving a ton of money

This is why stardew valley is such a masterpiece honestly, there is nothing you can do in the game without exploring every part of it, I mean, lets look at perfection speedrunners, they need to visit so many places for one or two items, its just, honestly beautiful.

Just for fun in retrospect, while it inherently doesn’t help with the vault, doing this challenge in 1.6 might make a couple of things available or cheaper to obtain. Things that come to mind are mixed flower seeds which can grow every flower in the garden bundle, and being able to obtain prize tickets without earning money by repeatedly winning certain festival challenges, which can be turned in for an apple sapling (however it’s 50:50 to be a pomegranate sapling instead, and this only occurs once on the eighth slot so there is no second chance if you got unlucky - a predictor can tell you in advance). Roe can also be obtained from fishing treasure with the Jewels of the Sea book which is also found in fishing treasure.
in the mines you can sometimes find crates which give hardwood too
for the ancient doll, tilling soil in the mines has a small chance of dropping an ancient doll, using bombs could speed up the process
27:01 it rolls the item pool twice, so it means that things have double the chance of dropping, but you could also get two at once
