The S7 may be better overall, but just the fact that the J7 can avoid small obstacles like poop is a good enough feature for pet owners to choose the J7 over others.

My s7 died because of laser sensor error after 3 months, luckily under warranty. Then a month after warranty it died again because of fall sensors.

question re the testing; have these devices been pre-mapped? i understand that the I7/j7 has to be pre-mapped on first use, which could result in increased efficiency with increased usage

Best robot vacuum yet, This J7+ is the smartest and fastest vacuum yet, it avoids obstacles like cords, pet poop and just about anything else. Cleans under the bed and everywhere else. The self empty feature is the best.

...what is not mentioned here is that Roborock is a Chinese company. Your data gets uploaded to Chinese servers in China - an autocratic state. iRobot on the other hand is now owned by Amazon. While there are concerns about privacy, at least this data stays in the US.

@@stephan24297, you are right about manufacturing location. I am talking about data handling though. Furthermore, there is the question of how much you are want to depend on any single dictatorial regime for you gas, oil, and everything else. I am suggesting that one spread the risk.
If you want to see what happens to governments that build strategies around getting oil and gas from single sources look to Germany and Russia.
