I have sensed a pattern when watching videos of fishing, waiting for the Mn. Opener. When the person fishing is advertising for the location they are using live bait, jig & minnow, spinner worm, leech slip bobber etc. When out fishing for a "living" it is always artificial. My take away, live bait is much more effective, artificial more lucrative. Still fun watching and learning/ observing. Thanks for sharing.
I have been following your video s I'm Canadian fishing upper Niagara River right now hipwaiters using your Tickle Shades! I will let you know how I make out as soon as they produce Fish Walley have been moving in and in a large amount and it's just Started so Wich me luck with your product !? Thanks for the tips Tom.
I just subscribed and wrote to my friends to subscribe, too. Fantastic videos--clear instruction, great film editing and sound. Thanks for sharing so many tips.
Another great video.....I was wondering if you could do a break down system episode where you should how an why you use you electronics as far an scanning to really pin pointing fish
Hey man, I used to fish with just fingerless gloves like that and froze my fingers off. I found that using some 3mm nitrile surgeon gloves under make ALL the difference, while allowing full dexterity and touchscreen use. Just a little tip that I found useful myself! Tight lines!
I was just thinking, Tom, with the amount you fish, I'm surprised you don't start pouring your own soft plastic lures. It might save some money and be a source of new video content.
@@TomBoley thanks man, I grew up in Eau Claire but I never targeted walleye, I've learned an incredible ammount from you and I'm excited to go out for the first time in CO knowing what I'm doing now 🙏👊🏻
Eat your heart out, I'm still looking at 4 Ft. of snow on my front lawn and close to 2 ft. of ice on most bodies of water nearby.Enjoyed, glad you got your Dad out with you for a spell.Question on Braid, Sufix, is that a new line out which would rival Berkley Nanofil from a few years back.Very soft, supple, cast a mile. I heard that Sufix has something in the move, started out last year, just not out on shelves yet.
Hi I’m wondering how you do it? I mean, you left the boat outside, stay at the hotel and still able to start the engine next morning?? Water pump not freeze??
Ill give you my two cents here. For us here in ND, it really depends on the depth. Obviously, you cant vertical jig when you are shallower, even if you're quite the boat will spook them. Pre and post spawn and even in the fall when they are shallower you we pitch and retrieve swim baits and minnows. Trolling (in general) and vertical jigging are for when the eyes are deeper.
Pretty good synopsis. I would add the fish react differently to a vertical jigged bait moving down current and a bait pulled bait slowly into the current. I've noticed a difference day to day or body of water to body of water
Turned on my tablet and had to decide, do I watch Jason Mitchell or Tom Boley this morning...well, I think you figured it out.
That new XZONE Stealth Invader swimbait is going to wreck those walleye!!! Can't wait till March 24th release!

I must have missed the vid where you went from Suzuki to mercury. What happened?
Keep them coming Tom!!! Love em
Thanks for watching!
These river videos are fire!
Thanks....it's been a lot of fun this spring
Looks like pool 2 on the Mississippi river
Or possibly pool 4
Bay point park
Really enjoy watching you and your dad fishing together!!! Great video Tom!
Thanks for watching!
Cool to see you out with your dad! Love the color on those Walleyes.
Thanks for watching

Tom is the real deal for walleye fishing . No BS or clickbait video like all these others so call walleye “pros” lol
Caught many walleye in that exact spot over the years, grew up there. Well done Tom👍
Thanks for watching. Good spot!
Great video and tips as always Tom. Thank you
Glad you enjoyed it
Wow what a bluebird day!!!congratulations on a walleye dream hunt!!!!
Thanks for watching
Nice seeing you out there with your Dad Tom, Thanks for the info 👍🏻
Best walleye fisherman on this platform!!!!!
About to make me a better one 😂 can't wait tell my boat is fixed
Good job and Thanks. Where can I get that landing net?
Thank you Tom for helping America catch more Walleyes! How do you store your plastics?
Hey Tom, in your opinion what's the best braid color when swim jigging with a spinning reel, or does it make a difference in your experience?
I always just use green. But it doesn't really matter. Everyone ties in a long flouro lead to the braid

See you running a merc what happend to the suki?
What happened to the Suzuki engine and talon?

Maybe will make a video on freezing weather boat maintenance
@@TomBoley one of my biggest scared…
That 131 is incredible stuff.
It is a cool line
Are you pulling the boat into the current or slowly slipping the boat back until you spot lock onto a location that you mark fish using side scan.
Save some of that red wing walleyes
Is there any rivers north of Wausau that alow the fishing of pre-spawn walleye?
Wisconsin river but it’s from bottom side of kings dam can’t fish anything north of kings dam anymore
Can you talk about siding image on the river ? Compare to lakes what do you look for?
Hey Tom, when do you usually go over to Green Bay?
Hey Tom, curious what your thought behind pitching jigs is versus vertical jigging? I notice you almost exclusively pitch/ drag jigs.
Ill give you my two cents here. For us here in ND, it really depends on the depth. Obviously, you cant vertical jig when you are shallower, even if you're quite the boat will spook them. GOODDDDDD EATER SIZE
Dude, balaclava and ski goggles while in transit. You're welcome 😎
I live right by here. Do you think a radar is required for these spots? Or can I do fine without that on my kayak?
Sonar always helps but you could catch fish without
Are you going to get a new boat this spring? Or keep using Mitches. Seems like a great boat.
When are you going to make your way down here to the Detroit river
It's in the works
You know if the shore is hitting too?
Awesome
Please let us now what your dad was using because I don't want to use that. He caught nothing while you were pulling in nice ones.
Same bait
@@TomBoley Be honest, what was the difference?
Another good video Tom. Nothing like fishing out of a frozen boat is there? 😆
Took me 30 mins to get rod locker open haha
Nice
Coolest vids of yours imo are #1 you fishing with dad #2 fishing with Shelby #3 sorry Mitch but is Mitch # everyone else
I think Mitch try’s to run the show to much when he is with. I would rather watch him with his dad or Shelby or just a solo grind is the best
Tom👎Shelby👎Biks👍
I thought you were running Suzuki? what happened?
why dont you keep some eaters
Too much respect for the fish I need to do my job
Hard to hide from people when you’re fishing the Mississippi lol
Absolutely
Absolutely no need for any leader material on the river.
